Maia considered that. What meant something to either of them? They'd been so many places, and every place they'd been together meant something to her. "The lake?" she suggested.

"Mmm, I don't know..." Toby reasoned, "It's public, so anyone could be there. Fat guys in their bathing suits in our photos and stuff. What about your beach? That's private."

Toby had a point. The lake was public and strangers would be there. Nope. Her beach? She smiled at him. "We could take everyone there," she agreed.

Toby nodded. "You still own it. Nobody else could be there by chance. I wonder if there are any good places nearby for a reception?" He thought a moment, then shrugged. They had time.
"Do you have any ideas for colors you like or anything? Bridesmaids or... bridesmen?"

"I think one of the hotels nearby had a dance hall, but I don't know if they rent it out." She considered it further, until pausing at Toby's next question.
"I was thinking blue. I'll ask Annie." She really hadn't spent much time getting to know many of the women at HQ.

"I'm sure they do," Toby said with a nod, and then smiled. "Yeah? I'm glad you two get along so well." His choice was obvious.
"Just blue?" Hmm, a blue tie? "What sort of blue?"

"I haven't picked which shade," she mused. "We ought to invite Seamus," she said. "I think he'd be excited. Who do you think we should invite?"

"Do you want to go to a wedding planner, or just do it ourselves? I'm sure we could go somewhere and look at swatches or something." He grinned then. "You know what I look forward to? Cake tasting."
He shrugged then. "The guys. Michael, if he's feeling well. We can just fly with the haunted item in our carry-on. Or maybe he'd like the cargo bay better?" Toby shook his head. "Anyway, I'd like to invite Luca-- were-Luca, and Max. Kelly. Definitely Seamus. He'd be very offended if he wasn't invited to your special day, hah."

"I think Cody, and Lindy, too."

"Sure. I love their stuff." He played with Maia's fingers a moment and then his brow furrowed and he nodded. ;Right! Cody too, of course. I figured he and Dari were a package deal at this point." He smiled.

"True," Maia smiled. "Maybe Rosie? Do you have a flavor you'd like for the cake?" she asked. "I don't really have a favorite flower, do you?" Weddings and flowers--she did like daffodils, but they were short lived and tended to brown soon after being cut.

"I'm not sure the hotel would allow a dog in the dance hall. She may need to go to the kennel," Toby said, "But by 'kennel' I mean 'the daycare with heated floors Lori sends her to.'" He smiled and shrugged. "I don't know. Or at least I'll pretend to not until we get to go to a tasting." He brought Maia's knuckled to his lips and kissed them. "No, not really. When do you want to get married? We can just find some flowers that are growing then."

"You want to try all the flavors," Maia realized, and grinned at Toby. "Spring? Late Spring, when all the flowers are blooming? I'm sure we'll be bothered by seagulls at some point, though." She shook her head. She wondered if the ones she'd fed in September had left yet.

"With the amount of animal magnetism we'll be having radiating off of the guests I'm sure animals are going to show up at some point. Seamus will keep everyone in check, though." He chuckled and nodded, and imagined Maia in a wedding dress.
"If you want, I can get you an appointment at Kleinfeld. We could go on a trip. There's a witch I know who we relocated and got a job there. She's very fashion-forward."

"Lori and Luca might end up attracting every seal and crab on the beach," Maia said, amused. Kleinfeld? A trip? Oh, fashion. "They do wedding dresses?" she guessed. She still wasn't aware of the best companies. "Sounds good. Where is it?"
