-=Motoko continued to watch, assessing the situation as she walked closer to the fight. She wasn't trying to hide, and she wasn't planning on getting involved, though the idea was being tossed around in her head. She had heard about Lina from Neko, and it seemed that he thought she was worth keeping around, so she wouldn't really want her to be killed. She really had no business butting into this fight, unless help was requested, though=-

Lina parried attack after attack, focusing on blocking important hits. Her reactions were slowing quicker then normal, but after a moment's thought she built up a charge in her left hand, if the energy staff was still the same as before then it had one major weakness she could exploit. She lashed out with her left, grabbing the staff and attempting to force rai chakra into the technique, which in theory would cause the technique to send the shock straight into Kinuko without too much concentration needed. She winced as the staff burned at her hand but resisted forming a barrier as it would drain far too quickly against a technique of that style.
Kinuko released the staff after the initial shock from the backlash. "Interesting trick, seen it before" Kinuko pulled out one of her glass daggers and forced the staff to form through it, both hands were gripping the kunai handle, leaving her in a poorly defendable form, but she knew exactly what she was doing. She was glad it seemed like she would get her fight without interference, especially considering she knew how much the improved version of her technique ate chakra.

Lina glared at Kinuko, she gripped her sword tighter, knowing she'd have to fight harder then she would like. After a few moments she rushed forward, throwing an electric flash at Kinuko, followed by suppressing her energies and attempting to blindside Kinuko with the blunt of her blade.
Kinuko ducked right as she heard the blade was about connect, spinning around and kicking out both of Lina's legs. then pushing the tip of her staff towards the girl's neck. "Now that the pleasantries are out of the way I suppose questions are in order, ne?" she asked.

Lina grinned as she sniffed the air. "Hmm, dog eh?" She projected a barrier infront of the staff, blocking it and quickly turned the handle on her blade. A extremely loud extremely high pitched screech coming out of the blade as the electrical charge she was putting out spun the micro-turbine in the hilt. "If you had been born with that hearing it'd be somewhat simple to tune the sounds out believe me." Lina stated. She hoped the sound wouldn't throw many others off as she set about grabbing some ninja wire from the inner parts of her room.
Kinuko glared at the woman as she hugged herself, covering her ears trying to get the pain to stop, her staff collapsed from the lack of concentration and the dagger had already been dropped. "You.... You....." she attempted to say, but the pain to her extremely sensitive ears was getting to be too much.
Lina gave a nod in motoko's direction as she returned with the wire.

-=Motoko grinned and returned Lina's nod, starting to strafe around Kinuko, taking in every bit of information she could draw from the situation=-

Lina nodded "If you could tie her it would be good, I kind of have a hand tied behind my back so to speak" she pointed with her eyes to her blade, then tossed the wire to Motoko. "So what kind of punishment would you think one should give her daughter for a murder attempt?"
Kinuko kept whimpering lightly as she tried to block out the noise that was tearing at her head.

-=Motoko caught the wire, and knelt down behind Kinuko. She took an end of the wire and placed it against a wrist, then went from there like it was second nature. She tied Kinuko's hands behind her back, from the wrist to the elbow, then she tied her ankles together, so she was stuck sitting cross-legged. She spoke as she worked, then stood up after giving the wires a good tug to make sure they were tight enough=-
My my, this just gets more interesting by the minute. I'm not sure what kind of a relationship you two had, but I wouldn't show any mercy, personally. If someone tries to kill me, it's not my fault if they die in the process of self-defense. Or during questioning. Either-or.
-=She was offering advice as much as she was trying to intimidate Kinuko. things tended to go a lot smoother if a person had a bit of fear in them=-

After a few moments where Lina was sure Kinuko was tied she stopped feeding energy to the turbine. She nodded at Motoko's suggestion figuring for her own sanity whether or not Motoko was serious or not wasn't something she should think on too much. "That's not a bad idea I suppose... " Kinuko for a few moments had a glassed look to her eyes before she started talking. "Though I remember many a time where I was shown things that made people wish they were dead... not to mention the stories some undead have told me..."
Kinuko was staring at them, attempting to read their lips while the ringing in her ears died down. She was beginning to hope she hadn't understood for a few things, but kept a straight faced glare at her so called mother. She was beginning to worry about her hearing as her mother's talking continued.

Lina looked at Kinuko then after a few moments of searching she came back with a doctor's bag and checked Kinuko's ears. "Hmm, these might take longer then I thought to heal..."
Kinuko blinked a few times in confusion, being unable to read Lina's lips.

Nekojiri But there -is- something special about her. Not to mention, I've been a lot easier on you than most of the others I've eventually left in her care, and taken longer making the transition in this case. I think she has the idea that I'm training you to be her replacement.
-=Neko grins as he looks down, shaking his head ever-so-slightly=- She shrugged and turned off to the forest.
"Hold on, I'm not going to be with you someday, I am going have to work under her command?"
She asked, wincing, and shivering at the thought.
"plus how could I replace anything, I'm useless, that's been proven. WHat the hell have I been able to do?"
Sitting down now, and taking a breather, she looked back at Neko, and pat the floor next to her. She didn't mind talking to him after all this time, but in a way she really just didn't care, after people had destroyed her with everything they had done.

Normally, people I train personally join one of Motoko's squads, and carry out missions that are contracted to me. And even though we give you a hard time, you are a powerful ninja. You're just not shinobi-class just yet. Motoko is just insecure, and hurt that I'm putting so much time and effort into you.
((Yeah, I noticed X.x Had to do a triple-take))

So she can't hear us? Well than. I'm not meaning to pry, but do you know why she was here? Other than to kill you, obviously... I'm sure you have other places where you lay your head. Kind of counter-intuitive to pick the most well-guarded one.

As the pebble skipped across the water, it rose up and flicked it back across with a hand formed of water and it landed in front of Neko's feet for him to throw again.
"If I can't learn it like others than I am not good enough, for that, Motoko is right. I'll never be strong, just close enough to survive..."
Ally yawned, everything had been awfully boring lately, she had nothing to do, and she couldn't increase her training without it physically pulling apart her body now. She was in a sticky situation of her own, she could keep her body here, but her human limits physically had been reached to where anymore would kill her.

I've taught you differently than the others because of the condition you had when you first came into my care, so it's naturally been a lot slower than the rest, she just refuses to see that. Bottom line, just don't take when she says to heart. She's jealous of you because you're a natural-born, and you're not bound to me. I'll just leave it at that. We've been testing and forging your attitude, training you to become more sensible and quick-witted. It's not something you can really announce that you're doing. Anyway, just relax a little, and quit being so gloomy. Suppressing your emotions doesn't mean you have to be suppressed all the time.

"hm, relax eh? well there looks like a comfy pillow is ready for me there."
She said and her body fell to the side, and she burried her head against Neko's chest to relax, showing him she didn't have to be gloomy, she had just been bored. Plus, he was comfy, she had learned that, and hoped to go this wouldn't bother him.
