Lecu Streamjumper Lecu Blah..so, Pi..L0ki..I'm not going to be there this weekend. My dad loses at actually letting me know if we're going, and he doesn't want to go down because he doesn't want to end up having to bring my sisters home. So..no birthday partying for me, and I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to do anything for my birthday. I lose at having friends and knowing people. I guess I'll just sit around online with you guys the whole night before going to bed depressed and crying like always. That's ok... I turn 30 tomorrow and I'm gonna be spending the entire day alone. Luna's got to sleep from when she gets home from one job and goes to the other and Kane's probably staying at his parent's while his leg gets back into shape. On the bright side I might be getting taken to dinner some time later in the week when everyone has the time, but I expect things to be mostly low key. So we're pretty much in the same boat. Meh..birthdays suck. The only thing I'm looking forward to is turning 21 next summer and getting blind drunk. I've never really..had much fun on my birthdays. Nobody to really invite over, and when I did most of the time nobody paid attention to me because they were too busy catching up with other people there. So..oh well. I'm suprised, though, I never thought that I would actually be alive to turn 20..so I suppose that's an up point and such. Heh... after 21 things mostly die down... I haven't really had what I'd call a genuinely good year in several years now. Really the only good things in the last decade or so would be meeting and falling in love with Luna, meeting you guys, and the birth of my nephew. Balancing that is financial problems, getting laid off from an awesome apprenticeship (of which I was 70% done) in a great field the day after 9/11, losing my mother, and a slew of other shitty occurances that seem calculated to piss me the ******** off. Yeah, I'd rather not b***h like this, but its been a bit since I've vented my angst.

If it makes you guys feel any better, I was on the Necropsy rotation on my birthday, so I spent the day surrounded by dead animals. I won't say, "It could be worse," but believe me, it could smell a lot worse. But I did get a "Happy Birthday" email from my mother. That is a pretty ******** up birthday task, Mala... but strangely expected of you. On the bright side, I got a funny card from my dad with a nice check in it... and one of my agencies called about a long-term assignment doing data entry no more than a ten minute drive away from my appartment that begins monday. I really hope that works out. I would trade viable organs for a "Happy Birthday" email from my mom... crying Aki, don't worry if you dont' have a present... It counts a lot to know that you guys are in my corner.
