Cal didnt answer right away, his arms still around her.He pulled away, not declining, just thinking. He ran his fingers through the sand, just sitting there silently for a few long moments. he finally looked back up at her, a slight smile coming to his face. "Would you want to be with me for eternity?" he asked, his decision apparent.

She smiled warmly. "I wouldn't be asking you now if I didn't want to. A mate is a serious thing. Vampires can only have one. Not even death can seperate it." She reached over and laced fingers with him. "You're the only person I've ever saw worthy."

Cal looked down at the sand again, trying to hide his slightly blushing cheeks...He knew she was being serious though. He was too. He looked at their fingers when she laced them together...Cal sighed, just being caught up in everything that had just happened..memories, Hecate....he looked back up at her, a slight smirk on his face. "I'm glad you found someone."He said, truly grateful. Cal leaned forward and kissed her lightly, as if sealing the deal...

Hecate kissed him back for a while then slowly pulled away. She felt at peace now. "I'll have to arrange it soon. The whole ceremony takes a while. It's pretty complicated." She moved closer to him and leaned her head on his shoulder. "Now I get to sleep with you all I want." She laughed hard and gave him a sexy wink.

"Ceremony?"he asked, sitting cross-legged. "You make it sound like getting married.."he said. Then again, it almost was just like getting married...Same concept. He smiled at her second comment though, "Oh of course Hecate..."He answered, his smile not showing signs of leaving. He was happy it was decided...

She smiled back at her. "Well I guess you could call it a ceremony. It can only be preformed on special days on sacred ground." She thought about the whole thing for a moment. "Maybe if we do do this thing my father won't be able to find me. If he did there is nothing he could do to seperate us." Excitement rose in her voice about the whole thing.

Cal thought for a moment, not having heard about her father before..That wasn't in his memory. Cal looked up at her, a questioning look on his face. "Is your father after you?" He asked, feeling left out because he didn't understand..or remember, obviously.

Hecate felt stupid forgetting to tell him. "Yes. He's the reason I erased your thoughts in the first place." She thought to herself quickly trying to find a way to explain it. "My father is a very powerful man. He was my master until he died but he's back now. He's going to do everything in his power to come find me and make me his once more. If he found you with me he wouldn't hesitate to kill you and that's why I had to keep you safe."

He didn't say anything for a while. He really understood now...Wow.He felt like an idiot. He would've done the same thing if she had been a mortal...Cal's eyes went to their hands, their fingers still laced together. Cal smiled, looking up at her, his grey-green eyes soft. "Thanks."he whispered softly.

Hecate's grip on his hand tightened. "We just have to pray that my father won't find us before then. My father always gets what he desires." She spaced off for a moment remembering him. "We have to be careful also not to make him angry. That could result in an all out war. He loves fighting over petty things especially if that means people will die for it. It's what he's infamous for."

Cal couldn't help but smile. "Yeah I can see some personality conflicts there.." He said aloud, looking at her then back to the ocean. He remained silent. "What's your favorite memory?" He asked out of the blue. Cal looked back at her. "Now I'm being serious...Dont say something corny..."He heard himself say with a smile.

She gave a small laugh and thought about it. "I'm not totally sure... I have lots." She blushed at the thought of one of them. "I know one is of the first time I slept with you, well the only time." She thought more. Someone who has lived since before the earth was created sure had plenty of memories. "Most of them are from the first person I loved. He reminded me a lot of you actually." She turned to him and smiled.

Cal felt himself blushing. One because just hearing her say that, and two, he didnt remember. he hadn't been given those memories back...
He looked up when she mentioned someone she had previously loved. Cal watched her intently. "What was his name?" He asked softly, not wanting to pry, but he could at least get a little information right?

She thought hard trying to bring out the memories. "I'm not sure..." It was hard bringing back memories from that far back. "I believe his name was Belial. He was one of my uncles...or at least related to me." She felt a little embarassed but back then almost everyone was related.

Cal smiled, knowing what she meant. She was old...Really old..Okay, really, really old. He looked at her, smiling slightly still. "That's a nice memory to have..."He answered, leaning his head against hers lightly and looking out at the waves, just watching them. He was just going through all the memories he'd just been given..again.
