Yuugi gasped as he saw Malik move foward again. But instead of pushing him down the stairs he pulled Yuugi against him. Suprise and fear ran through his system, and a shiver ran down his spine. When he felt lips on his ear he winced and pulled his head away from Malik's. "I dont care what you do...I wont give them to you" he whispered and prepared for the worst.

"How the hell should I know?" Bakura snapped at him. "Erm...sorry....but I don't know...." Breaking his eye contact with Jounouchi and looking down at the floor. "You could always just...stay here" said the spirit in a suprisingly timid voice, well timid for him while scratching at his head a little bit.

Jou winced, taking a step back from Bakura's room at his outburst. It'd startled him, to say the least. "... You're sure you want me in here?" he asked quietly. He took the chance of taking another step forward then, slowly. He was torn at being mad at Bakura, feeling slightly hurt from his attitude, or just wanting to continue to try and help him.
Marik took the time to notice every single one of Yuugi's reactions, from the flinch right down to the slight tremor of his body. Perfect. A scared victim was easier to deal with than a brave, stubborn one. Although a stubborn Yuugi would have been fun to toy with on some other day... at the moment Marik was still just eager to get what he came for and then to make a hasty retreat. "...Oh?" The Egyptian smirked. "You really don't mind what I do? You might want to rethink that statement..." The grip that he had on Yuugi's wrist suddenly became tighter, squeezing the limb just tightly enough for it to be painful. "Because there are so, so many things I could do..."

Bakura looked back up at Jounouchi "Yeah, I'm sure....and Jou..i'm sor- eh?" Before Bakura could finish his sentence the ring started to glow. Bakura picked the ring up and held it in his hand. "What's happening?" Bakura was puzzled, why was the ring suddenly reacting? The dousing pendants attatched to the ring began to point in the dirrection of Yuugi's game shop.

Yuugi let out a short gasp of pain as the large tan hand gripped his smaller wrist hard. He felt his skin twist and burn slightly but he still wasnt going to give in. "no..." he answered again as he winced at the grip on his wrist.

'Was he just about to say what I think he was about to say...?' Jou's senses had heightened in apprehension of the words, but unfortunately, they were never finished. "What the...?" Jou looked at the Ring as well, a little confused and a little freaked out. "Why is it doin' that...?" he asked a little uncertainly.
The grip only tightened; a shackle of skin and bone, but a shackle it still was. "Cooperate if you want to make it out of this situation unscathed, little Pharoh vessel... cooperate." The undercurrent of danger in Marik's voice was much, much stronger now. "I'm beginning to lose my will to end this peacefully. If all else fails me, I could always use those tiny bones of yours to pick the lock... how successful do you think that would be?" He actually seemed to become thoughtful about the subject, dark eyes staring forward past Yuugi's head. "We could always find out first hand..."

"I don't know what it's doing..." Bakura spoke and then got up off his bed and started walking out of the room and following the direction the ring was pointing towards. Pausing quickly once Bakura reached the door to his house he quickly grabbed his leather tench and put it on. "Come on Jounouchi, I want to know what it's tryign to tell me." With that comment Bakura was out the door and walking at a brisk pace and following the rings dirrections.

"Whoa, hey! Wait up a second, i'm comin'!" He skipped grabbing a jacket and just snatched his sneakers up on the way out, hopping into them even as he shut the front door to the house. He didn't want Bakura running off on his own, especially out in a storm like the one already going. Even as he thought about it, lightning flashed not too far away. Jou tried to ignore it (along with the thunder that followed) while he hurried to get to Bakura's side.

Yuugi looked away from Marik towards the ground, or whatever he could see of the ground being so close to the taller person. This time he didnt answer though, as if he was truely think about if he should or not. Even if he knew he wasnt going to give them to him...the thought of living was a very nice idea.
He tried to say something, but his throat clenched in fear. He tried to withdraw himself from Marik's tight grip but had no success and only probably got into an even tighter grip.

Bakura frowned when they ended up infront of the kame game shop. This was one of the last places he wanted to be right now. "Please tell me this is a joke" he muttered underneath his breath as he sighed. He looked over at Jounouchi for a reaction, perhaps the blond could think of a reason as to why the sennen ring had lead them here.

Jounouchi's face, on the contrary to Bakura's beliefs, was rather blank with the exception of a tint of confusion. "Why would it point here now?" He asked out loud, tiny rivulets of water streaming down through his hair and over his face. His clothes were getting to the point of soaked by now. "Yuugi has had the puzzle, but your Ring wasn't pointing before..." He turned his head towards Bakura, suddenly looking a little worried. "What if there's somethin' wrong in there? Can we..." he stopped himself. He didn't think Bakura would want to rush into the house playing hero, at least not for Yuugi. "... Er, can I go inside to see if anything is wrong? I'll be right in and right out, really fast!"
"Time is running out, and my patience can only wear so thin." Marik smirked slightly, watching Yuugi sit in silence. It looked like he had maybe finally gotten through to the teenager. "Tick, tock..." he leaned over and nuzzled at Yuugi's ear, laughing quietly. "Tick tock, little Yuugi, tick tock..."

Bakura noded in response to Jounouchi's question. "Yeah.....wait, no if there is something wrong I'm not letting you go in there by yourself!" Bakura snapped a bit again. "You can go in but I am coming too..... I'd be a really shitty lover if I let you get hurt, now wouldn't I?" Bakura tried to lighten the mood for Jounouchi before they went inside, which Bakura wouldn't mind at the moment either. The rain was coming down hard right now and his hair was litterally soaking wet and it stuck right to his face. Bakura took a few steps forward and entered the game shop and then waited for Jounouchi to catch up and then take the lead once inside.

Yuugi felt Mariks face against his own again and closed his eyes shut. Once again he tried to say something, but he couldn't talk. Was it worth it really? Risking his life for those things? Yuugi paused and shook his head, clearing himself of those rediculous thoughts. "No" he said again. He was actually about to give up. "I'll never give them to you" he finally said and looked towards the angry eyes of the taller egyptian. His eyes narrowed defiantly. "There is nothing you can do to make me give them to...you" He couldnt beleive what he said, he actually sounded somewhat disgusted by him, emphasizing the you.
Quickly, he moved his eyes back to the ground not wanting to see those eyes get even more angry at him.

Jou stared at Bakura for a moment, surprised. "Ah, well... yeah, maybe, but no, kind of..." And then, despite the situation and his feelings from earlier that day, he smiled. A real, honest, classic Jounouchi smile. "Right. You would be a pretty sad lover." He continued to smile after Bakura as he followed the white-haired man into the shop, both of their forms dripping water onto the store's floor.
Marik's anger flared up, a dark light shining out through his eyes. Just when he had thought he had broken the boy. He had been that close...! He was just about ready to execute the beginnings of a punishment when something inside of him quivered, alerting him. Something of the shadows was here, and it wasn't of his own making or summoning. To further back up his assumption, he heard faint noises coming from the bottom of the stairs; the opening of a door, faint footsteps, a muted voice. "Well well... saviors for our little prisoner of war?" He looked down the stairs, then down at said boy still held in his vice-like grip. "What do you say, little one? Would you like to see some familiar faces before your banishment from this life, or would you like to go all on your own?"

Bakura nodded and then began to slowly and very cautiously start up the staires. He could feel shadows and he didn't like it. He was starting to think something was after the sennen items. Which Bakura was still convinced belonged to him because of what had happened to his village. Either way he was getting a tiny uneasy feeling but he wasn't about to let that show or dare to admit it to anyone.
