"I've had a few months to think about it, and even now it's quite surreal," Kara replied as she continued to walk, "We never asked the details about the sword, what with us leaving and all that, but one day my Uncle Long came to visit. He's not really my Uncle, otherwise that would mean I'm related to Donovan, but he was talking about the clans, and my mother's clan. Mama was a spiritualist and the handle was made just for her, Elnara was there... and well she was the one who told us about the sword, and how papa was trapped in it."

Kara paused for a moment thinking about it, she knew her father would try to make the best of it, he always did.

"It's been sixteen years since everyone thought he died, so it's hard to imagine him being alive, much less him being alive for much longer than anyone has been alived in our world."

"I can't really say more than that," Kara commented softly, "How do you react to someone who was dead for sixteen years. I lived the rest of my schooling years at a magic school, I didn't feel comfortable with being with the clan, and no one would think about contacting papa's father," Kara looked at the sky with a frown, "He would be horrified that papa adopted me and my sister, even if we passed off as human, we were humans with magic."

"I think papa probably had more in common with Elnara," Kara admitted, "I hope she really got to talk to him before it all went sour, at least that way she knows she isn't the only one," Kara murmured thinking about it.

She smiled fondly, she wondered how he was doing. Whatever it was, he was probably going to make the most of out of it.

"If Gion is always travelling, papa is probably having a blast," Kara commented, "He loves to travel... and at least as a sword he can't wander down any holes," she tried to find the bright side to things.

"All I know is that it was enough for Elnara to link the two of us," Kara replied with a small smile, "That was a bit akward... though not as akward as finding out that Donovan and my family knew each other for a long time," she gave a funny look, "Actually it's really hard to believe, Uncle Long is nothing like Donovan..."

"Really?" Kara inquired as to a bit curious as what Serenity went through.

Afterall, she found out several things that day, one... Uncle Long was still a pryo, and two, never ever put those two in the same room. How Donovan and Long could be in the same house without tearing it apart was amazing to her, and she felt sorry for Donovan's mom.

"That's okay," Kara replied happily, "Long stories are good," she told Serenity, "They are the interesting ones."

Kara looked thoughtful, nodding her head. She wondered if this is how she met her husband, since they were related by marriage right? Though she would have to hear rather than ask.

Kara looked up at Serenity with sad eyes, she could see how that woudl be realy upsettting. She thought most should be happy that Serenity was alive, but well...
