after such a battle with a world contender sho needed something to eat. living off zing bars, rats, and and food stolen was not go enough. sho was thinking about getting some from from the base in the city. but how would he pull that of with most of the orginization there. maybe an outpost they would have one or two gaurds if that. the gym by my apartment is a great place. building hopping, sho landed on the fire escape of his apartment. crawling in threw his window he started to undo his belt. taking off his cloak revealing his abnormally frail looking body. it looked like he was a skeleton wearing skin with little to no muscle and orgin mass. sliding the closet door open he grabbed a new cloak, boxers, and belt. he changed quickly leaving the cloak top hanging over his belt. grabbing his katana, he pulled out of the sheath and put the sheath in his belt. going to the middle of the wall next to closet, he thrust the blade into the wall. revealing a well camaflouged secret closet full of gear. slamming the doors off its hinges to break on the sink and fall to the floor. grabbing a vest out of the middle of the closet only to gear it up with c-4, detinaters, shurikens, bags of ballbaring and spare parts for shinjas blade. after loading himself like rambo. sho asked shinja "should i really be taking out my main resorce for power?" while feeling his way to the counter of the one room apartment. responding "well Boris is a power that we need to remove, for me to take my kingdom back and you to regain your honor." sitting on the counter next to the sink he broke the door on he confested the doubt about regaining his honor.

Diana smirked “Sweet. So I could use it on people who piss me off. BBA has nothing against me now. I was afraid they will not allow me to use it but now you said it...you saved my a** from being fried, then, Hiwatari.”
Diana looking over at him again and said “So Hiwatari, what do you plan to do now? You are technically the one who asked…indirectly asked me out here. What do you want to do?” Then Diana remembered something and then asked “Hiwatari, have you ever played paintball before?”
When his brunette companion asked that, Kai looked at her for the briefest moment, then trained his gaze ahead once more. "No, I haven't," he replied truthfully. He'd heard of the 'sport', but never had a chance to try it out. One of the reasons was his constant training; another was that he had no idea where he could go in order to try it out, not in the greater Tokyo area, at least.
"Oh, and Murphy, it's Kai, okay? You can quit calling me by my last name..."

Diana almost blinked at Kai’s last response. She got a bit taken back by that. Kai Hiwatari. The sourpuss captain of the Bladebreakers. Actually asking her to call him by his first name. Actually more like telling her but to it felt that way. Guess she needed to feel honored. Shrinking her smirk by a few molars into a smile, she replied “Sure H-Kai. And you can call me Diana”. Putting her hands behind her head, she smirked again at Kai “Well, been itching to get back to the field. But since this is your first time, might as well show you. Wanna try it?"
"...why not? I've been meaning to try it, anyway..." the slate-haired teen replied. Still, the pair walked on. It was weird. For some reason, neither he nor Diana had started an argument. Either they were just stressed those other times; or they just didn't like the way the other acted - even though they essentially were the same; or, so far the most plausible explanation, they were mistrustful of the other. Now, however, with all the things they had in common, perhaps neither saw fit to start an argument or whatever.
"So..." Kai went on, after a few more minutes' silence. It wasn't really all that silent considering nature's orchestra - chirping birds, near-inaudible wind sloughing through the trees, and the quiet burbling of a small fountain they just passed, for instance - that regaled them. It was still a bit early in the day, and even though the first rush of commuting laborers were starting to fill the streets, the park seemed untouched by the chaos beyond its walls. "Where to?"
-----------------------------
Houka walked quickly through the crowd, pushing past her in the opposite direction. She still didn't know where she was going, and she still didn't care. She glanced around, sea green eyes taking in her surroundings - still dull gray buildings, people milling about - then turned onto a side street. Hopefully, it would lead her somewhere interesting, and perhaps challenge her sense of direction later on. She needed something to do!

Diana held back a snicker “We’ll travel my way…”. Her hand reached for the sleeve of his shirt, pulled him closer to her and snapped her fingers. Another of her dark aura travels once again. This time, they were standing in a huge auditorium. Diana smirked as she realized she came to the right place again. Going inside, she stepped to a guy in the receptionist who was reading a magazine.
Smiling, she rested her elbow on the table and said “Hey Spike, long time no see”. The man looked up, having brown hair tied in a ponytail and green eyes which widen at realization “Di? Is that you?”. He practically rose from his seat and laughed “Wow! How is my favorite gunner girl? How many corpses did you bury this time?”. Diana chuckled “Believe it or not, none. No one seems to piss me off too much. So whaddya got for me? Anything new?”. Spike beamed and spoke “Oh yeah, I think you will like the new ones. Sweet and heavy fire power. Just the way you like it.” He glanced at the back of her shoulder and saw Kai and said “This your boyfriend?”.
You could have sworn several veins popped in Diana’s head. Biting back a snarl, she clenched her fists “If you don’t want to be the 1st corpse I buried in around 3 weeks then I dare you to say that again and you won’t be in just deep s**t right now”. Spike held his hands in surrender “Ok, Ok! No need to pull the gun on me! And I value my life thank you”. He hurried to open the door and Diana followed him inside.
It revealed to have around a gallery of guns. All of them had some kind of tank attached. Spike hurried with a black gun with silver thunder streaks designed on it. “Here is one of the new ones. Angel AV4. This baby is made use of a linked hammer and bolt assembly, which permitted the use of a single solenoid to actuate the entire firing sequence by controlling a piston that powered the hammer/bolt assembly forward, simultaneously chambering a paintball and releasing the propulsion gases at the end of the hammer's stroke.”
Kai blinked, put off by this 'Spike' person's remark. He rolled his eyes at the idiocy of jumping to conclusions, just relying on visual information. How easily and quickly people misinterpreted what their eyes told them. Any adverse reactions to having been pulled into another of Diana's 'dark aura portals' - was there any better way to describe them? - were out the window with those three words. But seeing as the brunette had taken care of the ponytailed receptionist, he pushed all thoughts of hitting the guy to the back of his head, and followed the two through the door, getting inside to hear the tail end of Spike's explanation of what he guessed was a new paintball gun model.
Diana practically beamed. “So you’re saying this one is fast and has a lot of fire power?”. Spike grinned
“Couldn’t have said better myself.”
Diana took the gun from his arms and tested it’s aim. “Sweet. Give me a training room. Need to try out this awesome piece of metal.” Spike practically skipped and took out a key to a private shooting booth. Stepping inside, Diana put on her mask and earmuffs, loaded the tank and took aim.
Several cutouts started to move and constantly back away from shooting range, but Diana was an experience assassin, so this were not a problem for her and fired. Several already were covered with splatters yellow, blue and red paint. Firing and switching to automatic, in a few minutes every target were hit with splatters of paint in various areas but mostly in the head.
Meanwhile, Kai took to examining the different guns mounted on the wall of the gallery. He'd never seen so many in one place - except for gun and ammunition stores - ...and these are all used in paintball...? Barring the tanks attached to each model, they looked like fairly ordinary guns with various designs on each one. This sport wasn't looking like it would be too hard, really...

"Gah! Not good enough!" Kei exclaimed, catching her blade as it flew out of the stadium. Her three companions glanced up from their card game.
"What's not good enough, Kei?" Hiromi asked, leaving her current hand face down and walking over to the deep purple-eyed blader. Kei attached the dark blue blade to her launcher, and then inserted the ripcord before answering her friend. "The maneuver, that's what," she said testily, yanking the cord out and away during the last part of her reply. The blade zoomed into the dish, circling counterclockwise at the same level thrice before starting to climb the slope, still in a counterclockwise motion.
"I have to find a way to get from this defensive maneuver into an offensive one, without knocking myself out or giving any hint of the offensive technique," the brunette explained after a while, catching her blade and putting it to the launcher once more. "So far, I can switch easily enough; its the follow-through that's throwing me off; Gogyou keeps getting knocked out by its own speed... but then I can't lower the speed anymore because that would compromise its attack ability, but then without doing that, I risk knocking myself out..."
The brunette frowned when her brown-haired companion started giggling. "What?"
"Kei, you're worrying too much," Hiromi answered, laying an assuring hand on the other girl's shoulder. "At least you've got one part down; maybe you're just approaching the other parts from the wrong angle...like...perhaps you're trying too hard to up the offensive capabilities of your blade. How many defense moves do you have, anyway?"
"...just one, but its both attack and defense..." the brunette replied, fingering her blade's attack ring. Both were silent for a while, conscious of Nia's and Ruri's eyes on the two of them. "I think I know what you're getting at, Hiromi," Kei said at last, inserting the ripcord, ready for another shot. Hiromi just smiled, turning to go back down the platform and back to the card game, only to be stopped by Kei's voice, asking another question. "What were you laughing at, anyway? You didn't answer that yet, y'know..."
"You're starting to sound a bit like Kai, as a blader, at least..." the auburn-haired girl said, still smiling. "He doesn't voice his thoughts about his training, but he must have done this, too; he certainly trained a lot and he had high expectations of himself... just like you, just now - berating yourself for not managing to get a technique down pat and all." Kei frowned slightly.
"So I spend a lot of time searching for the perfect balance between blade and technique; any serious blader would. And if I sounded like Kai just then, what of it?" She turned to the stadium, pulled the ripcord again. "You know its not just a game to me..."
"Yeah... just don't overexert yourself, okay?" Ruri called, absently picking a card from Nia's hand. "We don't want to have to carry you home and stuff, if you collapse..."
"Gee, thanks for the concern, Ruri...you're not exactly a lightweight, yourself..."
"Wh-what was that?!"
"Nothing..."

Diana shoved the gun in Spike’s arms and told him a quick “get my gear ready” and walked towards Kai. “So you picked one yet? There are hundreds as you can see.” Then Diana blinked and took Kai’s wrist and led him to a gun on the left side of the hall.
Taking a hanging gun off the wall, she faced Kai “You might wanna try a Shocker. This is another one of the sweet guns. Not that fast like the Angel, the one I used awhile ago but really heavy fire power. It even has a Sensi ball detection system. Think of it has having automatic sensors that enables the gun to automatically reload so you won’t have to grope for your ammunition and get shot when your hand is half through the ball tank.”
Placing the gun on his hands, she placed one hand on his shoulder and led him to the shooting booth. Taking another mask and a pair of earmuffs, she gave it to him “Come on, try it”.
"'Shocker', huh?" Kai muttered, taking the mask and earmuffs from the brunette. The gun wasn't that heavy - by his standards, at least - and from Diana's description, it was the type of gun he'd have wanted to use. Not surprising, given that Diana could read his mind whenever she wished. "All right then; I'll give it a shot."
He walked into the room he'd seen Diana enter earlier, taking a 'ready' stance, one finger just touching the trigger. The cardboard cutouts - splattered from Diana's earlier trial run of the gun she'd handed Spike - began to move, side-to-side and back and forth. Well, well, well...moving targets... the crimson-eyed teen thought, smirking as he brought the gun up and began to fire.
After less than three minutes, he noted that he'd hit each target at least once, and usually in a vital spot - either the head, the chest, or the stomach. He liked the feel of the gun; it wasn't too heavy, he could maneuver it with ease and it wasn't awkward. Best of all, it was powerful. He stepped out of the room, the mask and earmuffs dangling from his left hand while his right one held the Shocker.
"It seems all right," he said nonchalantly as he approached Diana. "So...what now?" It was his first time there, so it was understandable that he didn't quite know his way around or know the procedures that well yet...

Maria Sayka’s soul immediately came back to her body making her breath fast as her body’s way of making up from all her stress and energy spent. She didn't even knew the time. She fell down in exhaustion from all the training she had with her special machine. She tried to beet her earlier record when she sang but she was milliseconds away. A hand came to her belonging to Keiji her long time best friend or friend as he did even when she came to Boris’s care.
Flash back Just as she came to the secret base, she was immediately put for experimentation. She was afraid at first. She was trained easily just because of her ability though at that time her body had very low stamina so she would collapse some times. The others would pass her by and she had a hard time standing up. He gave her a hand with a bright smile that she hasn’t seen on any one of the people around and even brighter than anyone else she has met. She gave a smile and took his hand. “Hey you there run” one of the guards shouted to them and they continued to run. Then another boy collapsed just like her and very soon he was taken away never to be seen again. Maria looked back and Keiji soon took her wrist so she would continue to run. She soon found out why she and he were not punished because of their special ability and that there were somewhat similar other than the fact that he was Boris's adopted child. She guessed from his odd voice that he was gay.
She took his hand with a tight grip and stood up.
“Ouch not so hard” he said releasing her hand to find a red hand.
“what are you talking about? I’m fast I am not that strong.” She said putting her hand on her waist.
“Still too tight come on you’re a girl.” he said blowing his hand.
“what ever” she said laughing thinking that Keiji was even more feminine in truth. She then took again her shuriken launcher and attached her beyblade and on position.
“Hey aren’t you going to get some rest?” Keiji said noticing her at it for a very long time.
“Not yet I can still go on.” She said having a strong feeling that her chances with Kai was slim but she was determined to get stronger and still persistently continue.

((OOC: Look, Sayka, Kana and I are getting really tired of you always mentioning Kai is great or whatever feelings you have for him (never mind that you didn't in your recent post), and getting jealous of whoever seems to breathe the same air as he does. It's getting irritating. Seriously.
You seem to enforce stupid rules, too. I don't care whether you're the RP creator or not; the rules still apply to you. For example, you say 'no god-modding' yet in some posts you still do it! Don't bother retorting or defending yourself 'cause it's true, so save your breath. And also, your character...she needs an attitude adjustment, plus she's nothing but a Mary Sue!
Oh, yeah... regarding that little flashback thing you have up there... you stole Kana's flashback font, dammit! YOu think it isn't obvious? Ha! Sorry, girl, but you thought wrong. It's blatantly clear that you copied Kana's part of our joint post in the previous page, 'cause you used a different flashback font a while back. In fact, there was no difference between your normal font and your flashback font; you just put the words 'Flashback' and 'End flashback' at the start and end, respectively, of the sequence.
I know you told me not to post stuff like this here, but hey, I've had enough, and so has Kana. Besides, its too much trouble to go my mail folder and PM you, so deal with it.))

Diana then gave a sly grin “Now for a field test, wanna go up against me and some other players? We are gonna play an elimination match. Last one standing without any paint on their vitals wins.” Spike came back with face masks, thick gloves, boots, some knee and elbow pads and 2 dark blue jumpsuits.
“Here ya go, Di. One for you and your friend.” Diana took the equipment and gave a nod of thanks and place one of each pair to Kai. “Here, you need all the protection. Good thing the eye mask is glass so we can see. Last time I went to one of these places their masks are like sunglasses. Barely saw a damn thing.”
She turned and cocked her head, indication to follow her. Going to another door, there were several gadgets and other stuff, most likely to be more gear. Taking 4 fat tubes filled with red balls, she attached them to a belt and gave them to Kai “Here are your ammo, you might want to get a Squeegee before you put those on.”
She took out a long rubber coil with red and green swabs “Attach this to the tank and connect it to the barrel. It cleans out broken balls so there is more room for new ammunition.” She took out 5 tubes, this time slightly smaller and not a canister for balls. “Paint grenades. Self-explanatory. Pull the pin and throw it. Unless you wanna go looking like a tomato or an imported banana. Or a blueberry.”
Then she took another coiled cable, this time with a connector. “Remote Line. This allows you to move more freely while your marker is attached to you. Handy and practical.” She placed it on Kai’s arms and shoved him inside a dressing room. “Just wait for me outside when you’re done.” With that, she went to nearby dressing room just next door to the one she shoved Kai into.
Balancing all the gear on one arm, Kai used the other to make sure the door was secured; the crimson-eyed teen didn't want anyone getting a look in. He started with the most obvious component of the outfit - the jumpsuit. He slipped it on, followed by the elbow and knee pads, then took off his shoes and replaced them with the boots. He decided to put the gloves on last. Looking around at what was left, the slate-haired blader picked out the belt with the four ammo tubes attached to it, and fastened it around his waist; he was pretty sure they went there. The paint grenades were another matter; where the hell did you attach them? Ah, what the heck... Kai thought, moving on to the marker - he took the word to mean the paintball gun - doing as briefly instructed by Diana.
It took some doing, but the pale-skinned player emerged from the dressing room fully 'equipped' - sans mask and gloves (he'd put those on later, when they were soon to start this 'elimination' game - marker in hand. Diana was no where to be found as yet, so he leaned against the nearby wall, waiting for her. He'd presumed, of course, that the brunette had meant in this room when she said 'outside', since he could see no exit to a play area or any similar thing.

Diana came out already equipped and saw Kai already waiting outside. He was holding the paint grenades. Obviously not knowing where to put it, she took them for him and clipped them on the back of the belt “here ya go. Ok, let’s go to the field then.”
Diana held the mask and went walking straight in the hallway until she pushed open a door, revealing a giant stadium filled with obstacles. Many players were already shooting, loud bangs and shots echoed through the walls. Spike was already standing near the stands “Hey you guys made it! Well better check to see if your items are secured before you get into the mayhem. And Di, see if your friend knows the rules before he enters. Obviously this is his first time”.
Diana gave a nod and turned to Kai “Here we are at the playing field. First thing you noticed are those gigantic log shaped obstacles. Those are bunkers. There are lots of shapes for them sometimes even pyramids to tunnels but those cylinder shaped are the most common for field play. But sometimes we use the forest for the playing field. The name would be called “Woodsball”. The extra challenge to it is that it has trees, logs, grass, insects and dirt.”
Diana took out a black scrunchy and started to tie her hair “I don’t think I wanna discuss to you about safety measures since obviously you should know the face is the most vulnerable to hit. That’s why there are flaps on the ears and around the neck area since sometimes amateurs are getting blind and couldn’t shoot straight. We can’t use cushions for the ears or nose since you won’t be able to hear too well and you won’t be able to breath.”
After successly tying her hair into a low ponytail, Diana resumed “The rules of the game are usually different since there are 3 types to play with. But for now, we are gonna use the Elimination rules. As I told you before, eliminate all the rest and win by being the last one standing. To eliminate, the commonly used tactic is to hit a player with a ball. But there is another way to eliminate without firing a ball. Tap a player on the shoulder with your barrel and the player has to surrender.”
“Before each player begins, we need to measure our markers by chornograph. Because if we don’t, the high velocity of the marker would be very risky to you and the rest of the players since the marker uses highly-compressed Carbon dioxide and Nitrogen in order to shoot the balls. So expect someone to yell “Phase Change”. But we are just gonna go for around an hour so only one will do. You could also ask if the player hit is valid. Just yell “Paint check” and the referee will decide. And also, if you are eliminated, you need to yell “I’m hit or I’m out”.”
Diana sighed and gave a small smile “So, you ready?”
Even while Diana was explaining the rules to him, Kai was observing the other players on the field. He could see several players running from bunker to bunker, dodging 'enemy fire' and such. Running and dodging, he could do; same thing for shooting at a target while stationary, even when said target was moving - proven when he tried out the marker Diana had picked out for him. It was shooting while he was on the run that he wasn't too keen on; launching a Beyblade and shooting paintballs, while essentially dependent on the user's accuracy, were still two different things.
However, the slate-haired teen figured that he couldn't just sit back; who knows, this little 'exercise' might prove to be beneficial, in that it would improve said skill (shooting while in motion). Besides, his training might just be useful and carry over into this sport. So when the brunette asked if he was ready, he gave a curt nod, looking determined as he was about to pull the mask over his head. "Yeah, I'm ready."

shinja tried to explain that every thing he does will not matter, because when he is the best every one will have to respect him. shinja quoted a ancient saying while sho put his cloak on. kill one man, you are a murderer. kill a hundred, you are a king. kill a million, you are a god. sho left his the apartment going to the elevator using shinja's telepathic connection to see the buttons. he sent the elevator to the top floor sprinting out as the doors started to shut. a girl came to the elevator as sho was waiting a moment. she barked "that's just my luck" only to leave in a tantrum down the stairs. not hearing anyone else, sho bashed in the door with a batto-jutsu air cutter. jumping down i-beam to i-beam sho was rationing a brick of c-4 into 4 parts. landing in the basement panting "ok lets get this over with shinja!" turning to the I beams holding the build of about 200 of boris's troopers. a blade buzzed by his head making him drop the primed blocks of explosives. a voice echoed in the empty basement "report Sho! Have you found out any thing, if they are going to betray us, or any news on kai? i Quit in a soft unechoing voice. hat is your news, haa. if you make it out of here alive you will be hunted like a dog. but you know that. when i assassinate boris i will be honored, respected, revered, and if you think you can take it from me you are mistaken. right, haa. you can barely stand you bag of bones and you are weeeaaak! even weaker then before you worm. i am a wyrm, the meanest dragon you ever seen! drawing his sword at the normal blinking speed, he had to kneel. launching his blade laughing as loudly as possible. the merc flipped then tackled sho while he was defenseless with all his force.

Diana just raised her smile by a few molars and went to the door connected to the field. Putting on her mask, carefully tucking in her long dark hair inside, she went in. Kai can go inside if he wanted to so no need for her to wait for him. Since once they were in the field, they had to be on guard. Spike blew a whistle, which made the other players froze. “New players! Everyone stop until they are both secured!”.
Diana immediately went to a bunker and checked her ammunition. Tank full? Check. Paint grenades on the right? Check. Squeegee in place? Check. Helmet not slipping? Check. Full Alert of postion? Check. Now she was ready. Putting her hand on the trigger, she awaited for Kai to choose his location.
Unknown to Diana, Kai had followed her right after she went in, also crouching down behind one bunker after making sure he wouldn't be fired on almost immediately from that particular position once they resumed play. He'd seen his dark-haired companion attach the paint grenades to the belt, so he knew they were there; nevertheless, he checked them and, satisfied that they were indeed hanging where he could get at them easily, moved on to inspecting his marker. Tank, full...squeegee's in place...helmet secured... Kai went over the 'checklist' mentally, resting his finger lightly on the trigger, and his free hand resting on his left knee.
This certainly feels different... Kai thought, glancing up, trying to see where Diana was; he spotted her, also tensed and waiting to spring into action, after a few seconds, crouched behind a bunker similar to his just a few meters away. He'd decided that he was going to take his cues from her; she was the 'expert' in this game, whereas he was the 'novice', as much as he hated to admit it. At least it wasn't to anyone but himself.

"Maria that we need to talk now!" Keiji suddenly said before Maria had launched her blade in a voice she has never heard before a voice of a boy unlike his usual gay voice and serious.
"Keiji?" Maria said but before she could speak any further Keiji Lauched his blade and transfered his soul to it then left out of the room. Maria followed him as he did with her blade. 'Souls could speak to each other but only at a small distance so it would be a perfect for a private conversation.' Maria though following him, 'but that voice is it really him or some voice he uses in his missions?'

Spike noted that both players were in place and then pressed a button and a screen appeared. All players looked up and saw their faces and names on the left side. On the right, were the color of paintballs they were carrying. Diana looking up saw her name and face. Her paintball color was Orange. Kai’s was red. Spike then took out a small pistol, raised it up and counted for 3 seconds…and fired.
The game was resumed. Diana immediately took her marker and fired 3 shots. 3 players were hit on various spots on the shoulder. She darted to the next bunker, slowly advancing to a group of 5 players hiding on the bunkers. Anticipating the angle of where they were quietly crouching, she unhooked one grenade from the back of her belt, pulled the pin and threw it hard. Hiding behind the large bunker, she heard the loud explosion and examined the place. All 5 were splattered with different amounts of paint.
Some got only their arm or a portion of it. Some were looked like fruit. Trying to hold back her laughter, she continued advancing and managed to crept behind a player and tap him with her barrel. Looking at her, he stood up devastated that he lost easily and held up his hands. The surrender rule. Now she waited how Kai was progressing since there were still around 25 or so players.
For about a split second after Spike fired his pistol, Kai was confused. But only just then. Diana hadn't said anything about the starting signal, but since everyone started moving after the shot, the crimson-eyed teen knew that it was time to eliminate or be eliminated.
He straightened up, fired two paintballs each at the first three 'enemy' playesr he saw, noted that they found their target, then ducked back down as several paintballs hurtled his way. The sound of paint splattering on inflatable plastic told Kai that this bunker would get 'hot' if he didn't move soon, and he didn't want to allow that. After a few seconds, he stood up and let rip with his marker. He got around five people with that tactic; he wasn't sure it was one he'd want to use a lot, though, as it was a waste of paint. The slate-haired blader then went off in the opposite direction, towards a triangular-shaped bunker; perhaps he'd have a better vantage and firing point from there.
Around halfway there, Kai was forced to settle for a soda can-shaped bunker - this one was standing, as opposed to the ones lying on their sides - when three or four players (he wasn't sure how many, due to the speed at which he'd ducked for cover) opened fire as soon as they saw him. He reached for a paint grenade, pulled the pin, and threw it at the advancing group. The explosion, and then he peeked around the bunker. Two of the players looked like they'd been hit with a truckload of rotten tomatoes; the other two got tagged on the arm, shoulder, or leg. Darn... Kai thought, a bit disappointed that he'd eliminated less people than he'd been aiming for. Oh, well, at least he hadn't been hit...yet.

Diana managed to count 12 people that she managed to shoot. “This is way too easy. I dodge real bullets. Why should I have trouble trying to dodge paintballs?” Diana smirked mentally. She admits she was acting way too cocky. One should never underestimate their opponents but these guys just don’t have what it takes. She was slightly smaller, she was female and her feet practically gave her an advantage because of her training since childhood.
One did almost manage to shoot her. But she ducked and ran to his side and tapped him on the shoulder. As the rules say, he has to admit defeat. Diana decided to look at how many players were left to eliminate. 7 maximum since Kai had his share of shooting. But then again, she could let him try to get them on his own. This is his first time. But that doesn’t mean she won’t defend herself from getting eliminated. As her sensei will say: “Everything is a Battlefield.”
Another one eliminated from play. More and more, Kai was finding this game to be easier than he'd expected. He'd had to dodge worse things - flaming Beyblades, for one - and avoid potentially more dangerous people than guys in jumpsuits with paintball guns. However, it was proving to be a good training exercise, by way of testing his agility, awareness, speed, and a host of other abilities gained through training.
3 down... five more to go... the slate-haired teen thought, including Diana in his count. The brunette hadn't said they were to look out for each other, after all. So she was fair game as well. Then again, she'd been 'nice' enough to not target him - of course, that could have been just because he was a beginner at this compared to the other players - but...
Ah, what the heck... The crimson-eyed teen decided to leave Diana for later - if ever - and concentrate on the others. He peered around the edge of the bunker, ready to fire, but pulled his head back just as quickly as he'd poked it out, narrowly avoiding getting hit. He peered around the edge again, and got off two shoots before having to duck again. A mad dash from one bunker to the next, dodging and returning fire took care of two more players.
How many were left now, besides Diana and himself?

Houka turned a corner, took a few more steps down that particular street - whatever street it was - and suddenly found herself facing a department store. She stood there, looking at the sign, then the entrance, wondering whether to go inside or not. You see one department store, you've most likely seen them all.
Oh, hell... the sea green-eyed teen thought, pushing open the door and stepping through. She had cash; she definitely had the time to go window shopping, at least. Besides, she needed a few new shirts, and maybe another pair of boots. After this shopping trip, Kurozuki, you're heading to the BBA HQ for training...
-----------------------------
She was close to getting it. She could feel it. Too hyped up to stop just then, Kei attached her blade to her launcher for yet another go. She'd noticed a definite pattern during what was most likely her fourth trial run; the last three launches had confirmed what she noticed. And now she was close to perfecting what would be her first purely defensive technique. By then, Ruri, Nia, and Hiromi had tired of their card games and had joined her on the platform for a closer look.
The brunette yanked the ripcord, and true enough, the blade began its weaving figure-eight motions as soon as it hit the stadium, varying its speed every now and then.
"If you ask me, I'd say that technique's just about completed," Ruri spoke up, playing with several strands of blonde hair.
"Well, good thing I didn't, because you'd have said the same thing around two trial runs earlier..." Kei replied, lightly teasing. "Anyway, I know it looks done and ready to use in competitions, but believe me, against world-class bladers, this technique wou - Heads up!"
A blur shot out of the stadium, stratight for Ruri, who let out an "Eeep!" before ducking and covering her head, while Kei leapt off the platform and went to retrieve the blade - for that's what that blur was. She was back shortly, Gogyou resting in her palm. "Sorry 'bout that, Ruri," she said sheepishly. "Still need to work out a few glitches, it seems."
The grayish blue-eyed girl shook her head. "Don't worry; no harm done... but I take back what I said about that technique being complete. Kei chuckled.
"That's what I was trying to tell you earlier, anyway..."
(...and now what's with the white text, Sayka? Suddenly ashamed of your post? That's just sad...)

Diana managed to fire down 2 more down. That was it; everyone else was eliminated now. Looks like Kai handled himself pretty well. He seems to be natural in the sport, even if it was his first time. People sometimes lack the physical strength and agility. But Kai had been trained in that hell hole for god knows how many. No genius need to write it down just to know Kai was going to good with this kind of sport. But she had to admit, she couldn’t eliminate him at first try.
Usually she fought dirty. But this time, she didn’t strike the weakest out of all of them. Guess she is growing a conscience now. Still hiding down from her bunker, she looked at the time and saw that 10 minutes was left.
Don't tell me we eliminated them all already... Kai frowned slightly. Of course, since Diana was the only person he could see still on the playing field - besides himself, that is - that could have been what had happened. The phoenix blader was disappointed; the game had posed little to no challenge to him, if this was the case.
His mind flickered back to Miki, who was still in the apartment. Diana hadn't said anything about her being in danger, so he wasn't too worried. The slate-haired teen wondered, though, if perhaps he'd bring his twin here...would she enjoy it? He felt he had to somehow find a way for the ice phoenix wielder to enjoy this well-earned freedom, not to make up for all the crappy things she had to go through, but to affirm what it seemed the girl knew all along: that beyond the bad, life was still good.
But enough of life philosophy or whatever. He couldn't allow his mind to wander just yet; only he and Diana were on the playing field, and from the glimpses of his companion's performance that he managed to catch earlier, the brunette was a formidable player. He couldn't allow himself to get caught off-guard if she was still standing.
