Arch the Angel Arch glared over at the Seer before turning back to Ruby. "Nothin', dahlihn. Tihs ahlraihgt." The Seer sighed. "Before I go, know that the AOS is planning an attack on Phoenix." And with that, he was gone. Ruby frowned, "I know when you're lyin' to me, Angel." The cameras and spells checked by Merlin would show only a semi-cloaked Ruby walking on her own into the base. Even if she had been noticed by scanners, or what not, it would have let her pass freely. She had just been lightly cloaked to avoid any scene that could have taken place, and to give famine enough time to escape.

Tsukiyomi Morningstar Xeen Soldevi He chuckled. "Yea, let's go." She followed eagerly behind him, itching to see this shop. ((Eric's shop is part of the base)) They set out, when arriving, they found Eric's shop was a massive warehouse, about five stories tall and about seven or eight football fields square. Eric showed her to the door, stepping in, and hitting the lights, row after row clicking on, revealing what it was the shop housed- The skeletal frame of a gigantic mech, wires and hydrolic and phenematic rams welded and rivited to a huge steel skeleton. One of the arms was complete, a scythe-like bayonette with three gun barrels welded inside, one longer than the other two, stacked on top. Eric smile, looking to the machine he had been building. "Taken me awhile, but it's almost done. I need to get armor for it from one of Jerhic's factories, and salvage more power supplies and focal crystals from Pheonix mechs to finish it."

Hattie was amazed by the shop even before the lights were flipped on. When she heard the lights begin to click on, she watched as each row lit up. She was in heaven here. There was much, much more here than in her garage, and there she thought she had a pretty sweet set up. This put her to shame. And everything was in better condition, too.
She looked at the mech and took a step to it. She ran her hand over the cool metal almost as gently as she would an animal. Her mouth was slightly open in awe as she ran her finger around a rivet.
"This is amazing, mate." She said more to the mech than to Eric. "Need an extra hand?" At this, she actually looked at him.

Ruby asked, but she wasn't awake enough to comprehend any answer. As he started humming the tune she relaxed, her eyes slowly moving closed. "You have to sing me the words to that song someday," She mumbled with her last spark of consciousness. She curled towards him, pillowing her head against his knee, and made a few soft noises as she slept, something that sounded a bit french, and then ended in russian.

"Thaht ah doh." Arch smiled. He sat there for a while before he slowly stood up, making sure the door was locked, and went to go take a shower. He smelled like blood and sweat.

Ruby's sleep deepened and deepened, but after a while it began to take effect. The inside of herself was slowly trying to repair itself, and mend the book back together. There were a few moments she went into something close to a seizure and at one point came within inches from breaking apart entirely, but within an hour she was sleeping peacefully, and the magic binding the book had healed itself up, if not temporarily patched the damage.

Arch came back, the internal conflicts of the book not setting off his emotional sensory. He had a towel around his waist as he sat down next to Ruby again, gently stroking her hair.

I'm building a second one, because when we march into Pheonix, I need a wingman. Herbasis hasn't gotten back to me on it, so I can build a smaller, quicker one for you. Savy?"

Arch the Angel Arch came back, the internal conflicts of the book not setting off his emotional sensory. He had a towel around his waist as he sat down next to Ruby again, gently stroking her hair. ((...as a bored ED decides to entertain herself by turning this into an unnecessarily long post. And she needs the practice too.....*sigh* getting so rusty in my old age.)) Ruby's gray eye peeked open again, the other one staying closed at first as was her usual pattern of waking. She smiled and her other eye opened up as well. She looked up at Arch, and it was evident she was finally thinking clearly. She took a deep breath, and held it for a moment before letting it out. "You smell much better." She took another breath, smelling feather shampoo, wet feathers, a pinch of spicy smoke, and that subtle underlying scent that was unmistakeably his. She arched her back slightly as her arms stretched up and over her head, her fingers wiggling at the end. Blood flowed into her limbs waking them up, and she relaxed onto her side, with her torso slightly twisted, and her hip raised up in a playful curve. She gave Arch a thoughtful look her grey eyes reaching to hold his gaze. Her head tilted and the red curls all rushed to one side and over her shoulder in a long shiny red waterfall. "Sug, now tell me what's the matter? Why've you been yellin'?" She reached up with her left hand and brushed her finger against the silver peace medallion worn around Arch's neck, sending it moving like a pendulum against his chest. "I love how you feel the need to shelter me, feathers, but I ain't about to let you suffer anythin' alone." Her eye lids slightly lowered as she met him with a steady gaze. "An', sug, if you don't cooperate, I'll be forced to use alternative methods." She grinned, a grin that was slightly wicked, and gave a small warning tug on the corner of his towel.

in the corner of the room on the fourth floor below ground a slight distortion of the light spreads and forms a shadowy figure leaning in the corner with a black wing and a skeletal wing wrapped around its body.

Ruby thought about it for a second, "Lori an' I went to go free some folks, there was a bit of a riot, but you came an' got me an' brought me home." Ruby nodded slightly. She remembered only up to Arch threatening Brooks until she was handed over, the rest of it was either fuzzy or a blank, but she just assumed that was due to exhaustion.

She had wanted to embark on such projects in her own garage, but thanks to this War, yeah. Plans thwarted.
"That sounds wicked, but I've never Piloted anything like this before." Hattie replied.
