Watching the vehicle pull away before following Brutus towards the cave; Palmy nodded, his footsteps smaller but slightly faster. "Yeah, heh, I need to get fit anyway." He smiled back.
The Initiate loaded his Desert Eagles and kept them drawn this time incase of danger as the two entered the dry but cold cave; shielded from the sun. "I hope that's the last we see of the Deathclaw though... I've really had enough of those things... Just look at what happened to the Doc."
Suddenly halting; Palmy leaned his head forward, listening. His vision was severely impaired by the lack of light as they got deeper; his hearing was all he had. Apart from the dull silhouettes of himself, Brutus and any rocks and objects around the place, nothing could be seen.
"I think I heard something... May have just been us though." Palmy expressed, beginning to step slowly forward before hearing the sound of many light footsteps once again. Ahead of the two, something appeared to be crawling quickly across the ground, hiding behind an object obscured by the darkness. The long tail, visible as it scurried past was a dead give away. Palmy pointed one of his Desert Eagles in front of himself and aimed carefully, hoping it would come out from hiding.
"It appears we have the refined company of rad scorpions." He said in a monotone voice.

"One way to find out..."
Brutus sqeezed his flamer's triggr and flames streamed several feet into the cave, iluminating the area briefly. In that short time Brutus saw the hide of five or six brown things scuttling around.
"I think you're right my brother. I think it would be wise to slowly back away and draw them towards the light. I dont want to end up frying you by accident."
With that Brutus took a few tentative steps backwards fairly slowly. The sound of scuttling buglike feet grew however and Brutus feared the worst.
"Palmy... I have grenades. Get behind me and run out of the cave."

Stepping backwards cautiously until he was behind Brutus, Palmy nodded. "Good plan big man!." He then wiped the sweat off his forehead with his arm.
The scuttling got audibly louder and louder after Brutus briefly illuminated the room and Palmy held his Desert Eagles tight, still aiming where he saw them last, fearing what may happen next. Only a few seconds after the cave was lit up a few of the massive arthropods left the cover of their rock and headed towards the two of them. Palmy began shooting while hastily walking backwards; blowing a leg off one of them and shooting the second one in the torso repeatedly before it thumped to the ground. The rad scorpions were still a fair distance from both of them and Brutus appeared to still have a clear shot with any weapon he desired; but only for another moment.

Brutus plucked a incindiary grenade from his belt and threw it into the cave. The hot explosive seared the rock of the cave itself and chittering was heard after clicks and high pitched whines. The now burning corpses of several radscorpions provided some light, but not enough to really help. Brutus felt a presence comming toward him, and before he knew it a tail lashed out at him. Reacting just in time, the swift attack missed his torso, and Brutus grabbed hold of the tail, minding to not touch the veom filled sac at the end. He whiped the thing around, slamming it into the walls of the cave and after one violent twitch, Brutus was content tht the thing was dead.
"Alright Palmy, we got what we came for, let's bug!"
He turned and ran as fast as he could (which was still fairly slow) dragging the bug's body behind him.

Darting out of the cave before turning to face it; Palmy waited outside for Brutus, covering him incase anything else managed to follow him out. Content that it was safe, Palmy laughed, watching as the dust and smoke settled from the collapsing hole in the earth.
"Whew... That was a close one! You sure that thing's dead?" He asked, watching for any movements in the scorpion's creepy looking legs.

Brutus got out of the cave with the insect behind him. Sucking in air as fast as he could he looked at the thing in his hand.
"Im pretty damn sure this thing is dead."
He poked it a few times with one of his fingers and then shrugged.
"I guess we should be on our way then."
Patting Palmy on the back and slinging the corpse over his shoulder Brutus looked into the wasteland and sighed.
"The see of sand, weeds and rock is a sweet mistress. Treat her right, and she'll give you all you need. Give her any ilk, or piss her off and she'll rip your d**k off."
Laughing He started forward.
"Come Palmy, let us go home. If we head this way it'll only take us two or three days walk if we stop to sleep a few hours each day.""

((Jeez kids, stop making up excuses. If someone doesn't post for say a couple of days, don't say you're waiting on so and so person, just continue the hell without them, move it along. Instead of messing around Twixi, you could of just drove back, getting Silver there instead of messing around, letting him die since you was waiting on Krista to post, which isn't even necessary for you to post, you just drive. This is exactly how RPs get ruined, someone claiming to wait on one person or another. If someone is holding it up, continue without them, assuming they're there anyways, just to keep an RP moving, let it drag with waiting for people, it fails. I know I'd do exactly the same thing that Silver did by moving it straight to the medical bunker with you screwing around on driving, claiming that you was waiting on someone else, making a whole chain of waiting, which is ridiculous. For example, with Palmy and Brutus, if Palmy doesn't post soon, Brutus could and should move it right along with them traveling through the wasteland back to base to at least get it moving and get them there instead of just waiting, dragging out a simple return to base for a week, like you was doing Twixi.))

((Blah blah blah.. Exuse me for being polite, and besides its a small RP its not like where making a bunch of people wait. And besides whats his hurry? If some ones not posting then time is literaly standing still in the RP. So its not like hes gona die just becouse im waiting for Krista to reply seeing how she was a part of the RP. And poping from one place to another is just stupid when the trip would take atleast a couple of hours i was just trying to make it seem like it actually took time rather then hitting the invisible warp button and magicly teleporting to the Medical bunker.))

((No thats quite alright Silver i'm simply arguing with the General.. I hold no ill will towards him or anything, truth be told i think very highly of him. But we dont always agree on some things and it doesnt help that both of us like to argue, so when ever our veiws clash att some point both of us rarely give up without atleast arguing about it. The only difference is he usualy comes out seeming more calm and collected while most of what i post when i feel offended or that he's being overly critical for no good reason i usualy come out looking like a screaming idiot flailing about childishly and screaming and crying att the top of my lungs untill i get what i want if you know what i mean. So it usualy seems like where fighting or that i'm being rude for no good reason and or throwing a tantrum, but you'll learn to ignore it like everyone else does eventualy xp ))

I also love to argue when i disagree with someone, both Ender and Twixi will know what i mean. I'd have to side with Twixi on this issue though, sorry Ender. sweatdrop ))
