[Stormie. You tried to tell me you was in London. Do many other Brits have dindins at midnight?]
Ranu thudded the ships barrier again, snarling slightly. His hands shook from the pure and simple urge to kill something. Unseen, by his left side, the sword was flashing slightly.

Kibo: Well, Rome was landlocked. They took over the areas around them on the ground before they had ships. The people of Fortunato don't even know what a ship is, let alone how to build one. They're an island, so they don't really have any outside influences. Well, except me, that one time.

"Ah so have seen a boat before!"
Storm grinned, in victory before making her way next to Ranu. She hopped up on the rail next to him.
"What'cha thinking?"
((Mes petites chouchou. As I have explained before, me da lived in the States for years. And, as I've said before, we've been pogoed around WE for sometime now. I'm only british by the fact that I've live here for ten monthes. All my habits are influenced by the other culutres. Including late meals.))

[Just seems strange that after 10 months, your tummy ain't reset to British time. Then again, my mother eats at 9, and has lived her all her life.]
Ranu clutched his right wrist keeping it still. "Just excited to reach land," Ranu grunted through gritted teeth, holding the sword against the wood. Lowering his head, his eyes fell on the sword, then he shook himself. "Brr." he muttered, "I just miss land," he said, standing straight again. The swords flashing had stopped.

Kibo: Alright. Just make sure- gah! My foot!
He crouches down, and itches inside his boot furiously. Secretly, he slid Claire from his boot to his sleeve. Ranu was acting strange, and the way he eyed his sword was almost unnerving. He wasn't sure what would happen if he just switched the position of his knife out in the open, so he disguised it as a furiously itchy foot.
Kibo: Whew. My foot itched really bad for a minute. Not exactly sure why...

"New sheath for your boot dagger?"
Storm shrugged. She turned her attention back to Ranu.
"Are you sure? You seem unaccountable anxious. Maybe the cardboard bread has something to do with it..."
She was merely musing aloud and new very well that it had absoulty nothing to do with it. Although, she had a fond hope that it was so, giving her a ligit excuse to get rid of the afront to all breadkind.

*A cannon ball misses Kibo by a hair, but the cannon ball crashes onto the deck of the Dagger. L' Espadon comes alongside the dagger as its captain calls out to all on board.*
Captain Arronax: "Admeral Kibo Botch! My master, Captain Don Miguel says it is time to play, but he has set some rules down, 1) No magic of an sort. That means no necromancy for you and he cannot use the book to help me this is simply My crew against yours. So now, CREW OF THE DAGGER PREPARE TO DIE!"
*The French flag is hoisted high below the Flag of Don Miguel.*

Storm slid off her suddenly percarious perch on the rail, smiling. She called out to Arronax.
"You dare to limit our abilites and shoot at us, all in the same breath? My, but aren't we a risky one. No, I don't think we will play by your rules today. Tell your lord to send himself next time, and not a leashed pup to do his dirty work; 'tis only the polite thing to do."
She turned, addressing Ranu, still at the bow.
"Ready the cannons. We have a game to play, and I don't like to lose."
She glanced at Kibo.
"Mister Kibo, Charon is hungry. Induge in him, if you will."

*Arronax became furious.*
Arronax: "I am no ones attack dog! Men! Ready the Cannons and fire on my word!"
*Arronax turned to his first mate.*
Arronax: "Send word back to Miguel for reinforcments."
First Mate: "What of the rules sir?"
Arronax: "What of them? It was never my intention to follow the rules of Don Miguel, now go!"
*the first mate hurries to write his captain's orders on a piece of paper and runs below deck to fetch a bird to carry the note. Arronax unsheaths his Rapier.*
Arronax: "FIRE!"

"Finally," Ranu said, his words coming breathlessly from the pent up need to kill. He drew his sword, tossing it into the air and catching it blade up, in an un-Ranu like way, then moved to his battery swiftly. "Alright you sea dogs. Lets have some cannonball. Aim for their waterline. I want to see a red ship." He watched them loading the heavy iron balls, glancing left at the French ship. "I do so hate the French," Ranu muttered, then he added, in a louder voice, so it would carry to the French ship, and his superior officers, "Boarders, get yourselfs ready. We'll have to show these magic users, and the French, how real men fight." He cheked the cannons were loaded, then raised his sword, seeing the French nearly ready to fire. He raised the sword high, letting the sun glint over it and casting a blue flash for a moment, then swung it down fast. "FIRE" he roared. His cannons fired, cracking like thunder, and aiming for the waterline.
[I'll let Kibo or Storm Rp damage. Its not my ship.]

*the Cannons of L' Espadon roared as the crew gathered grapling ropes and cast lines over to the Dagger Crewmen began to swing over weilding swords and pick axes alike.*
Arronax: "Leave not a man nor woman standing. Show them all that we are still the elite! For the glory of FRANCE!"

Storm smiled in grim satisfaction as the Dagger's volley cracked smartly into L'Espadon's hull and like wise with their oppenet's fire. She started barking orders to a few of the crewmen who were just stadning there lollygagging to control the fires and to tie off loose rigging that was blown loose from L'Espadon's fire.
Her voice died in her throat for a moment when she saw what exactly they were being attacked with. Storm shook her head in amazment.
"Leave it to the French to attack with pickaxes"
She grabbed a musket from a passing crew member, cocked the hammer and aimed for the departing messenger bird. A sharp crack and the bird plumeted out of the sky.

*Arronax watched as his call for help was literally blown out of the sky. Pulling his pistol from his belt he aimed at Storm and fired. L' Espadon began to fall back, crew above deck began to wheel cannons over and aimed for the helm. Crew that landed on Deck charged the opposing crew swining their axes wildly. One man ran up behind a crewman from the Dagger and slammed an axe into his back. Another Crewman ran up to Ranu weilding a sword and a pistol.*

Storm was turning, shouting order to her Helmsna's when she felt the pistol shot slam into her arm. She cursed humans loudly in her native tounge and in Common for ever creating an empire full of "cheese eating, wine sipping cravens." It took her a moment more to relize that if she hadn't turned, the shot would have torn through her chest and a moment more in praise to her Lord for his blessings. Afterall, he wasn't one to be relied upon for them.
Storm murmured a word of power and watched in satisfaction as she her protecive runes glimmered to life on her body and glowed in response to the danger around her. She drew her long sword and dirk and charge a crew man from the L'Espadon, brutatally cutting him down from behind.
