"Zetsuei, what the hell do you think you're doing?! Take Maki now!"
Shinja tightened his grip on the handle of his sword as another burst of pain spread throughout his body, the vein-like marks of the tattoo not fading. "I don't care if Fira's right...I can't let you take her, Andr--"
Suddenly, Shinja was cut short as another burst of pain erupted in his body, sending his mind elsewhere.

"Thought you could get rid of me with some ink and a needle, did you?"
In Shinja's mind, the snarling, demonic voices of Darktail and the Orb echoed.

The young girl's heart was racing, everything was happening so fast and it scared her. Suddenly she bolted towards the balcony and jumped as far from it as possible screaming the only name she remembered. The only name that comforted her during her rebirth and the only name that seemed to have remained strong during the vines of darkness's memory wipe. The only name that made her feel loved even though she could no longer remember the face that went with the name. Everything was unfamiliar to her except that name which lies closest to her heart.
"SHIIIIIINJJJAAAAAA!!!!!" as she quickly fell towards the ground with her eyes closed. If her guardian was truly there he would not let her hit the ground.

"Shinja get the girl, I know who she is..... dont ask just get her and Fira dont let Andreas get her."
Zetsuei yelled as he ran and dove off the balcony at Andreas with his wings folded to gain speed. As he came closer to Andreas his scythe formed in his hand ready to engage in battle.

"That's what I was trying to do before," Fira called out as she dove off of the balcony her wings folding back against one another before the muscles in them pulled them down in a hard flap. It was all the phoenix needed to take off as her wings flexed outward and caught the air in downward glide before she pointed that glide up towards Andreas. In her flight flames engulfed her body and she morphed into her true fore of an orange bird.
Now Fira was like a flaming knife, cutting through the air towards Andreas, with tail like a comet’s trailing behind.

"I promised you before..."
Shinja looked at her as he held on tightly to her hand, his other hand gripping the handle of his sword, which he had plunged into the side of the castle in order to support the two.
"...I won't ever let anything happen to you."
His white hair blew to one side as the breeze softly brushed against the two.

andreas was taken aback by firas sudden movement at watched as she shot at him with tremendous speed, it wasn't something he had expected and the flames blasted right into him his speed just wasn't quick enough.
burning the side of his body as he was flipped back almost losing flight and crashing below he kept his balance and held his burnt side. he hovered like an injured bird and gritted his teeth.
"Dam you fira!" he smiled looking up at her "you've become more powerful. perhaps my tricky before helped motivate you into the strong fighter you've become"
watching the girl jump out with her eyes closed calling shinjas name andreas saw the man catch her. luckily for him her eyes were still closed and he rushed towards them before shinji realized it, placing a hand underneath the girl to lift her as shinji held on and putting his feet to the wall. he smiled lifting his hand to the mans face and sending a blinding flash right at his eyes. there was no real time to move and in that time andreas could pull away with the girl.
"maki, dont worry im here. its me shinji"

The young girl clinched her eyes shut but then a soft voice gave her comfort. Her skin gave a soft blue glow as she connected with Shinja. 'Is this my guardian? I think it is.' she said to herself as an old memory though clouded played in her mind. The image of a man and woman sitting by a fire sharing a flask. Then suddenly she was jolted upwards. 'Are we going back inside the room?' The sudden move made her whimper as she clinched her eyes tightly shut. She wasn't fond of heights to begin with and was frightened by the jolt, but then she heard another voice speak offering words of comfort. Though hesitant she reached up and hugged the man's neck, her eyes stayed closed. She didn't want to see how high they were. He claimed to be Shinja and though now it didn't feel right, she would not question him.

andreas felt the young girl grip on to him and with a smile looked down upon her.
"good girl,ill take care of you"
while shinji was distracted and the girl held on to him andreas propelled himself away and turned flying off. fira and Zetsuei would probably soon come after him again and try to snatch the girl back and shinji would probably jump in again. there was no time to be hesitant. with a quick glance andreas spotted yuki. his side and right wing still ached from firas attack but he could just manage flight enough for a soft landing.
"yuki i need a way out of this city can you bring us somewhere out of site"
andreas held the girl in his arms still watching around carefully. those pests would soon seek him out, they were relentless but he supposed for good cause.

Yuki shook her head at the rat-men as she saw them murdered without a chance.
She went to walk away when she saw Andreas of all people flying, Her brow crinkled up in bewilderment as she noticed the three men all fussing over the one little.
"Hardly even old enough to understand a crush and already she has three men fighting over her."
This was barely even an audiable mumble while she noticed the three trying to sway the girl's will.
Yuki Looked over at her one eared soldier and signalled him to leave the city and meet up at a rendevouz.
The sudden command of Andreas made her wince. Looking up she saw his damaged wing. She run underneaith him as she yelled up at him.
"staying Afloat in the air will only make them track you down quicker with your damaged state, Your better off Running with one of my speed scrolls."

as he stepped foot on the ground he glanced down, he could see the young maki in the young girls face as she cringed close to him. he smiled stroking her head and knelt down placing his palm on the ground to create a barrier behind them.
"hurry yuki! use the scroll we must make haste "
the barrier would not hold them long and to think all for this little insignificant girl, but if it got to them andreas was happy. andreas cringed as his wing fell limp. he was happy thou he had what he wanted and came for but he would still like to find out who that katrea was.
"here yuki take her to somewhere hidden, i will follow later"
he handed yuki the girl to hold in her arms as he waited.

Yuki Smiled as she took hold of the child, holding her like a mother would hold a new born. Chanting the speed scrolls magic she already felt herself lighten as she started to run, one hand placed on the back of the girls head and the other around her waist.
"Don't worry I wont let any harm befall you"
Yuki whispered softly into the girls ear as she ran, cutting through the wind and still being able to keep to the shadows.
Surprising herself she managed to dodge most of the guards as she slipped through Arvadia's gates.

andreas smiled and turned to the barrier he had made waiting for them to break through. he was badly injured but he could still put up a decent fight while yuki ran. while he waited thou he decided to work on healing his wing and conserved his energy letting the magic inside him feed the dark blood flowing through his veins. this would not doubtidly be orquid fight with all these against just him but if needed be he could always make a run for it and get lost somewhere till he could meet up with yuki again.
if they thought he would be a brush over thou they were sadly mistaken andreas had grown much in these past years training traveling gaia and building his strange from new magic. lifting his hood it was clear to see only shadow remained. he had evolved from a red mage into a red waltz and his yearning for power only grew.
this had not been his plan thou, maybe he should have left the girl and crept away easily with yuki but she intrigued him and that was a fascination he couldn't overlook.

Watching as Andreas took the young child from shinja, he became infuriated by Andreas actions so Zetsuei flapped his wings and followed him untill he came upon a barrier. Focusing his energy into his left hand, his all black katana formed.
"Andreas, you are gonna pay for taking the child"
He said as he pressed the tip of his blade against the barrier and slowly pressed harder untill a few cracks formed in the barrier. As the crack got larger Zetsuei removed the tip of the blade from the barrier and slashed at the barrier in a X shaped pattern
