Matt the girl Hi, I'm not sure if this is a little off-topic, but does anyone here know if there's any official fluff out there as to how long Kroot live? I know that it says about Tau in the Codex, but I don't remember reading anything about Kroot anywhere... well the tau live 40 years. so i probly say 80-120 years xp

Samulin Anyone know the stats on the new battlesuits. i dont think they are listed..... anywhere. new battle suits bieng the: xv89, 84, and 81. Those are Forgeworld suits, so they require opponent consent to use. According to FW's site, the full rules will be in the upcoming Imperial Armor 3: The Taros Campaign.

Kroot= Perfect Demons.
They can be any Demon type you like, depending on how you paint them, or maybe convert them, but they are Awesome as Demons, and then you can also use them as mercenaries as well!

They had found this plant that would make them regenerate and become young again after eating it, but then Imperials and some others found that, and wanted it. They had a war over the plant. What do you think of that campaign idea? **

Well, in your post, you said "Tau live 40 years" and that's what I assumed he was referring to, since it's not as if there's a generally accepted age that Kroot live to.

Yahiko_Meoshine DarkElf27 is it true that their basic rifles have strenth 5? Yeah. Tao are all about long range. So all long range that they don't have a single power weapon in their army. It's unnerving actualy because I took a full hand-to-hand army against Tau with Eldar and before I got to them I was gone... They're so completely about long range that a railgun has strength 10 with a 72" range, and they can be twin-linked. I love TAU exclaim

I love TAU exclaim The downside to taking Broadsides to get the twin-linked Railgun is that they essentially become stationary turrets for the majority of the game. They can only fire on the move if you take the twin-linked Plasma Rifles instead of the awesome Smart Missile System. Best use for Broadsides is just to put them where they have a good LOS across the board in a couple areas. Other folks just get afraid to put thier tanks in the path of tank-killing weapon as effective as the Railgun, so you end up denying them manueverabilty for much of the game.

A quick random rant by the Thief:
I Love my Broadside. the last game I played, I shot down a rhino and a dreadnought, and i rolled 6s on the penetrating table BOTH times, so I blew up both of em! I just keep my Broadside in the back of my army, and pick things off as they come by.
now to go in the total opposite direction:
I HATE MY KROOT! Every game I've played with them, they end up running off the table in turn 2 or 3. The most they've ever managed to kill is one Space Marine. I'm probably going to just stop using them and make an all Tau army.

Also, check your opponents dice, and make sure they have not been tampered with.
