Brother Felix Ok I nead help. I just got started on an Eldar army. I need advice on what to get. So far I have: 24 Guardians 1 Falcon Grav. Tank. Yes get a Farseer as your HQ. Also then start to build up your aspect warriors as they are an important part of your army. It also depends on if your using a craftworld... some need more things than others. Then no matter what get a full unit of dark reapers... they slaughter space marines... and once you can slaughter space marines you can slaughter anything

FlashbackJon neo1592 Whats wrong with having a Farseer lead your army... if an Aspect leads your army that might be crappy. The Exarch only have one wound so it's death pretty easily. I would Still stick with a Farseer... and Mind War really comes in handy against big foes. For a lot of people, it's simply a style thing. I don't play Eldar, but my favorite part of the Eldar is their Aspect Warriors and Exarchs. I couldn't give two craps about their phenominal psychic powers. Aspect Warriors, in my mind, are the defining characteristic of Eldar armies, and if I could field an entire army of just them, I would. (That might already be possible, I'm not sure.) Ummmm yes if you use Biel Tan all aspect warriors are troop choices so you can take 6 units of them.

Either way, I'd play 'counts as' Biel-Tan and paint them in my own colors and make up my own backstory... Or I'll just make a killteam. Whatever.

I really like the aspects right but... their kinda fragile. I wish that they all had S4 and T4 and had 2 attacks and the exarchs have 3 with 2 wounds. Then they would be a army leading unit. I find swooking hawks are pretty good. Put Sustained assult on the exarch with WS5 he hit pretty good. Sustained Assult makes any attacks that hit you make another untill you miss, you get 2 dice, chances are your gonna hit like 5 times... really can help.

Use as many gaurdians and a striking scorpion exarch as a kill team. I won the Xenos Hunt at our game shop with that kill team.

Actually, I can use Aspect Warriors in my killteam regardless of which list I use, as I'm allowed to use any non-HQ single-wound non-vehicle unit. In fact, I could include one of every Aspect Warrior if I felt like breaking one mutable law per model. Of course, their weapons might also break laws... not sure.

Yes I can't wait until I get my unit of Swooping Hawks... ahhh with sustained assult. WS5 2 attacks(3 cuz i'll probly be charging) wich could total to unlimited attacks if you roll lucky. And then all I need to complete a tournament 1850 army is a unit of dark reapers.

The Dire Avengers are awesome if they werent so damn expensive I would scrap all my guardians and take alll them. The ecarch with a dire sword can hit up to 4 times with each of his2 attacks. *REMOVED BY MOD BECAUSE OF BREACH OF COPYRIGHT RULES.They also get an exarch that is significanly better and for only 4 more points so their worth taking. When I'm rich i'm gonna try and get 3 units of them.

Unless you make your own, the only way to get a Dire avengers exarch is through the "Classic models" area of the GW site. At least to my knowledge. I plan to get one though. Then the fact that I will have 9 dire avengers.. will BUG ME! Because I hate uneven squad numbers.
-EDIT- It is plus 14 points for an exarch in the Dire avengers.

There will be plastic Dire Avengers soon enough, with an Exarch or whatever the hell the pansies call their squadleaders.
