Raine wasn't much watching where he was going. As a result, he was almost stepping on Saria before he even realized she was there. He stopped short, looking up at her with startled eyes before putting it together. Multi-colored hair, nice to look at . . .

You . . . must be Saria he said, not conscious that his tatooed arm was in her full sight.

She looked at him with her pale grey eyes and they caught his tatoo. "Hello..Yes, that would be me... You smell of Draco, are you his?" she said simply.

Raine nodded simply.

Yes . . . I am his . . . he said, suddenly distracted as a cloud formed over the Shadowdome; the next match was about to begin. Excuse me . . . I must go he said simply, walking away from her.

Aiden had passed Raine without a single comment. He wasn't sure what was going on, but his cousin had become increasingly moody. He was, himself, still tired from his battle and not able to go a moment without worry for his mother. He approached Saria and tried to keep up his spirits.

I . . . I'm sorry I had to leave you. I was trying to get my stupid cousin away from Dassan and then my match was called and . . . he broke off, not wanting to get too much into darkness. And then some other stuff happened he finished lamely, the pain clearly visible in his eyes, however. He was quiet for a moment.

But yeah . . . it's your match against my aunt now he said, staring at his feet. He liked her but . . . it was so hard to be flirtatious in times like these.

"I see.. Well then I must attend. I do hope the loser escapes the fate of Adele.. My friend Future has told me what she saw because she feared it too much for my little borther." Sarid said getting up. "Lead the way Aiden. Lead the path to fate.." she said as she steped towards him awaiting him to lead her.

Aiden stopped dead in his tracks, putting a hand on her shoulder to stop her.

My mother? What has happened to my mother? he asked, trying to remain calm even though there was fire in his eyes. His black markings stood out on his body once again as they did any time he reached any point of emotional excitement.

"She had been.. Well, I shall say only that you now have a half brother.." Said Saria looking at him with pity.

Aiden stared at her blankly, not comprehending what she meant for some time. Horror then splayed frankly across his features as he suddenly understood her. His fists clenched, a small trickle of blood being released from one until he unclenched them. He turned, walked away some distance, then walked back.

Does Harry know? he said, referring to his dad.

"I don't know. But he must, by now." Said Saria. She didn't seem to feel anything about this whole matter. "Aiden, the match. I must go..." She started to walk off leaving the shimmer drake behind.

Aiden was too dumbstruck to accompany her, but in the dark of night, the yellow and black sparkles springing forth from his hands lit a path for her much more beautiful than the first, the yellow marbled with the black, much as his own skin was. At every step she took, the section of path she had just vacated turned into butterflies of the appropriate color, fluttering around her for a minute before moving fanning out behind her like the train of an elegant gown.

Saria looked at him and smiled. "It's beautiful Aiden. See you later." She said sadily. She felt strange when she looked at him. She know that his aunt would be her opponient.. and his dads mate... Oh what a cruel web ot fighting you have created Dassan, she thought as she walked to the shadow dome to begint her match.

Midknight circled down toward the ground of the fields. He didn't enjoy the idea of being ordered by someone who was not his bonder to be a pack horse. No one but Destiny could summon him, but it was the urgency in the silver wind drake's voice that brought him forth.

Finally after a while they touched down near the lake. The air was gentle and silent with the churping of crickets. Apex slid off of the alicorns back and landed still holding onto Hanna in a crouch, he stood up. "Thanks." He said and gently laid her down next to the lake, from his pouch he pulled out his extra bandages that he was suppose to use to keep himself healthy, but Hanna needed them more than he did. Slowly dipping the bandages into the clear clean water he gently began to bandage most of her wounds. "Just rest, Hanna... I'll try to heal you as much as I can..."

Hanna smiled up at him weakly. He really was quite handsome, if you got to looking at him. She sighed, more out of exhaustion and relief than anything else.

Apex . . . can I ask you something? she said as she watched him bandage her worst wounds.

A dragon made of heatless fire landed some distance away, not even within sight of the first pair. Harry dismounted and slowly sank the dragon back into the earth, allowing Adele to no longer be on it without him having to touch her. This was killing him more than anything in the world could have. He was terribly confused, distracted, and hurt, not by what had happened, but of her current treatment of him. He hoped it was all only a phase, and that it would pass.

He didn't even realize what he had been doing until a rattle was in his hands, made of heatless fire. He gave it to Malvado without giving much thought to it. He glanced up at Adele, almost afraid of her certain move.

Um . . . I can go, if you want . . . he said, trailing off, trying not to show the pain her reactions were causing him. He was the one that had to be strong for her now, not weak. He inwardly cursed himself. Why couldn't he handle this?!

"Of corse. Go ahead..." Apex said, trying to make his growl like voice sound more gentlier. "Don't be afraid to ask me anything." His fingers were nimble as he applied the bandage, very careful not to brush against anything.

"No, no please, don't go." Adele reached towards him, but as soon as she touched him, she released him as if he had burned her. She looked at her hand and winced a little before looking up at him. She gulped and hung her head with a deep sigh. "I-I'm sorry...but the thought of touching..." She trailed off again and shifted Malvado, who had recently awoken and was now distracted by the rattle, so that he was comfortably laying in both of her arms. "To be perfectly honest, you scare me. You're so strong, and I'm so weak, and if something ever happened to you...if Dassan or something somehow got into your head and changed you, I-I...never mind, I'm rambling now. I don't have anything to say." She turned away from him, looking over the fields. The place indeed held many memories for her. This was where the bet had been made. This was where Harry had crafted a statue of her and expressed his affections for her. And now...now this was where she was hurting him so that she would not hurt herself. "The thought of you somehow changing scares me, but I can't be alone...not now...not with Dassan like he is...not with...not with what..." She gulped. She couldn't say it. Not now.

Harry sighed, looking her up and down still worried. Gingerly, he took the baby from her arms to give her some sort of relief. He looked down at the face and managed a weak smile. He . . . is kinda cute, I suppose he thought to himself. He glanced back over at Adele.

We'll all be fine. Aiden's won his match and . . . we're all gonna be okay he said, not too sure what to say about much of anything.
