7--Raiders pass on Matt Leinart Several teams are guilty of passin' on former Heisman Trophy winner, who went No. 10 to Arizona, but Raiders might have made biggest mistake. They took safety Michael Huff, who could turn into a star, but they have a huge hole at quarterback. Oakland thought it would be OK with either Aaron Brooks or Andrew Walter, n' that just hasn't been case. Now, Raiders will look at QB in upcomin' draft, but there won't be anyone in Leinart's caliber -- n' that includes Notre Dame's Brady Quinn.

6--Atlanta fails to fix WR problem Falcons have made several moves in last few years to bolster Michael Vick's receivin' corps. They've all been failures. Former 1st-round picks Michael Jenkins n' Roddy White have had way too many drops this season, n' Falcons traded for former Broncos wideout Ashley Lelie, who has also gotten a bad case of drops. This is hindsight, but Atlanta should have known better about Lelie, who was never that impressive in Denver.

5--Cardinals break bank for Edgerrin James This isn't a knock on James, who still has time to get his career back on a Hall of Fame track. But givin' a running back a 4-year, $30 million deal was not what this team needed. Arizona had holes all over, starting with offensive line, n' so it's no surprise James has been ineffective. James is averaging 3.3 yards per carry n' has had just 2 100-yard rushin' games.

4--Redskins overspend....again Every year Redskins spend a ton of money, n' every year their huge signin's are disappointments. This season they made Adam Archuleta highest-paid safety ever, n' he lost his startin' job. High-priced receivers Brandon Lloyd n' Antwaan Randle El have combined for 49 receptions n' 619 receivin' yards n' 3 touchdown catches.

3--Texans draft Mario Williams Before draft, Houston fans made it clear they wanted hometown hero Vince Young. Houston's front office opted for defensive end Mario Williams, who shot up draft boards after an incredible combine workout. Williams struggled at first, but has improved lately. Still, Texans appear headed toward another losin' season. They would have been better off startin' over at quarterback with Young or Matt Leinart, or by takin' excitin' Reggie Bush.

2--Raiders choose Tom Walsh as offensive coordinator Tom Walsh was runnin' a bed n' breakfast when new Raiders coach Art Shell picked him to be offensive coordinator. Walsh was Shell's coordinator in 1990s, n' up until time Raiders demoted him last month, he ran an offense many considered to be predictable n' one in which he couldn't figure out how to keep his quarterbacks from gettin' sacked at a near record pace.

1--Dolphins sign Daunte Culpepper Dolphins had a shot at Drew Brees n' Daunte Culpepper n' chose Culpepper because they thought he had a better shot at stayin' healthy. Didn't quite work out that way. Culpepper was ineffective in 4 games because his knee injury lingered, while Brees overcame a shoulder injury n' is havin' an MVP-caliber season. Again give your thoughts on what should be in, what should be out, n' other stuff
