Skye of Thunder lol..we were only given the opportunity to start in 6th....But I assure you I took advantage of it hehe...Soo..have you marched clarinet before? no but i started in 6th 2 now im goin 2 7th

Ash Rail blackdragonwingz Miyoko Clarinetti fonbebbles male clarinetists are we better than girls...... blaugh kidding.....or am i? ninja ::glares evily:: actually in both our eighth grade band and wnd ens, the first chair is a girl hee biggrin . Currently, i sorta beat all the guys in band ^^ sort of sweatdrop i couldn't remember the whole chromatic scale and this guy play it all the way to G7 XP!!! Anyhoo I'm gonna try and get first chair this year in seventh grade instead of getting third chair like last year biggrin , comng this september 12th (or 13?) it will be the day i bought my clarinet and began to play it! It's only be almost a year eversince i started t play...i can't believe it xD -miyoko We've only got girls on our clarinet section......plus a boy, who always forgets his intrument.... gonk yeah... we only got boys in our... school Which means only boys in our band Which means we have one of the few all male upper woodwind sections ^ ^ That would make it kinda hard to have a female first chair, now wouldn't it?

Right. For awhile last year, or director's wife was going to play in the pit for the school musical.
She'd have been sharing my book... and taking my friend's picc solo.
Ok, so she smoked me on my flute parts, and the clarinet ones, but I kinda pwned her on sax ^ ^

Hello! (I'm new in this guild...but...)
I've played the Clarinet for 5 years now... This will be my 6th year. I'm a sophmore at King High School (Riverside, California). And I do both marching and concert... Marching for the fall and some of winter... concert for the rest.

hI. I'm a Junior at Portsmouth High School. Ive been playing clarinet for 7 years, and bass clarinet for 4 years. I play with Portsmouth High School Clipper Marching Band and PHS Concert band. We have been very succesfull in everything we enter. Last year spring break we went to disney and did our first compitition and we came in 2nd!!!YAY US!We do festavels, last year we got high silver. I love the band. Too bad i only have 2 more years with them sad

When do all of ya'll (sorry, it's a southern thing) start playing on actually horns? In elementary school all we got were recorders and didn't actually join band til middle school. And even though we were in band we never went to competions, we just had local concerts. Oh well, at least we're going every where in high school.
This is prolly the wrong place but does anyone else know where they're competing this year? I know my band is doing a BOA regional in florida and grand nationals in addition to a few local ones.

I wished i was in a marching band but to bad my highschool doesn't have one. But my school does participate in music festival called Kiwanis. I've played clarinet for 5yrs, drums/percussion 3yrs, and the flute for 2yrs. I heart listening to music and I also enjoy playing an instrument.
