Yes, Hmm... Atleast she didn't hit him...? Of course, things happened so very quickly, he had barely thought about how fortunate he was, before he flailed his good arm in order to stay on the bed rather than fall off onto the floor. Thankfully, Niima seemed to flustered to notice the embarrasing action... Well, she might have noticed it, probably purposefully did it. However as he 'oof-ed' and puffed to sit up, he had apparently been struck by karmic lightning, becaus now, he was stupified. Taikai...? Taikai was outside the door...? Taikai wouldn't leave him alone now!!!!

"Ah, yes Niima?" Taikai asked opening the door when she had said his name, a tinge of pink on the old man's face as he grinned his very best to avoid suspicion. "I was coming back, and as I opened the door I heard you calling for me-" Oh my, this lie seemed so very similar to some of Taizen's... Taizen looked away, still unable to look up, it couldn't be Taikai... Let it be Nayll! Let it be Fulgar! He could atleast try to look smug with Fulgar! But Taikai... Taikai would ruin every first impression with everybody he was to meet, EVER! He could have been held up to a statue and the similarities would be amazing.

She didn't look back at Taizen when he 'oof-ed'. In fact she purposely kept her back to him. Mostly to hide her face. She automatically gave Taikai the 'uh huh' look when he spoke his lil white lie, a hand raising to swat off his excuse.

"Yes yes. I'm sure you heard me so don't play senile. You aren't that old. I'm going to the kitchen to get us three something to eat." She seemed to splutter out the last few words as she scurried past Taikai and out the door, not giving time for Taizen or Taikai to keep her there. As she raced for the door she did pause long enough to retrieve her rucksack that Nayll had brought eariler on with the stuff to tend to Taizen's wounds.

Out and down the hall in .002 seconds. Niima was about ready to break the sound barrier as she turned the corner and nearly bumped into a pair of monks. She gasped and quickly bowed her head in apology, muttering 'Sorry. Sorry.' before scurrying on her way.

Bathhouse first. She would clean up since she still pretty much resembled a rag doll. She would make them wait while she took a quick soak..

"'Well endowed'?!'" He demanded as though he couldn't beleive him. "Well Endowed?!" He asked it again as though he needed to say it so that Taizen could actually grasp the concept. Taizen looked up slowly, "W-what're you doing eavesdropping...?! That's-" "I knew I should have given you some pointer's, at this rate you'll die young and lonely..." Wait, was he saying Taizen would die young...? Wait that's not the point(at the moment).

"N-Niima know's im joking!" "sorta..."
"Taizen, do not presume to know the mind of a woman... Especially one as intelligent as Niima... That was the beginning of the convers. By the end of it, Taizen was attempting to crawl out of the room with his one arm. And Taikai placing a foot on Taizen's back to stop him from moving. Perhaps Taikai's conversation had shifted from Niima, to the 'birds and the bees' and now, Taikai seemed to be talking about... Experiences...?! Taizen! Crawl! Crawl!!!!

She smiled to the female earth bender who soon left Niima to her own accord in a secluded bathing pool. Stripping she was quick to get into the warm water. Once the water was to shoulders she situated herself to soak, staring at her clothing. Torn. Shreded. Urg. Oh well. Nothing could be done now..And Taizen..urg. Endowed. Indeed. She grumbled and sank somewhat into the water until her nose was barely over the surface. Even if he was speaking of my skills, like Fulgar had, he knew he had chosen the wrong word. Unless he completely missed my reaction to Fulgar's respond! Or...was he..no..No he definately didn't mean that..Her face went red at that thought. In his own words. Him. Her. No. Never. She huffed against the water and sat up again. He frustrated her sometimes. But then again..he was Taizen..and it was..strangely enough...apart of his 'charm'.

After washing up she dressed into a white cotton juban and kimono. She took her time with the next item, a redish-orange hakama. Fingers drawing the front himo to circle about her waist, not once but twice before it would be knotted at her back. Her fingers then saught out the back himo, pulling them forward to be tied at her left hip in a neat little bow. She decided against a obi, since it obviously wasn't needed. But she would pull a pair of tabi, sitting on the floor to put the simple clothed fabric over her feet. She wiggled her toes and chuckled, looking at her clothed foot. Then was her hair. A small stretch of cloth was withdrawn from her rucksack and she unwrapped a pair of silver bira bira kanzashi. The silver had been engraved with almost painstaking detail of a lotus flower and leaves. From the end of each kanzashi was a slender chain which a small bell was attached. She smiled softly as she brushed her fingers over the surface before purposely disturbing the bells to hear the very light sound they produced. Taking her long titian hair she twisted and raised it into a semi-tight bun. Then she would carefully use the kanzashi to hold the loose bun in place. Since her hair was now very much uneven it looked almost like her hair had been collected and pinned into place with the tips unruly spread out.

Really maybe it was a bit..much...but besides the outfit she had been working on, this was offically her only other outfit. The yukata had been torn. Her old outfit demolished..She sighed disappointingly as she pulled out the last item. A pair of zouri which she would slip on and stand. Brushing her bum with one hand she retrieved the torn items into her rucksack with her other hand. Picking it up and sliding the rucksack over her shoulder. As she walked out she bowed her head to the earth bender. Her steps drove her forward to the kitchen, the zouri feeling much ..odder then her normal wear.

It would only take moments in the kitchen before she would be trucking back to the room with a tray in hand. All sorts of foods there for the three to enjoy. She would have to balance the hand as she opened the door, pausing to see Taikai hovering over Taizen..with a foot on his back..Taizen looked like he was trying to crawl his way away from the old man. She gave them both the 'you've gone crazy' look as she cleared her throat. "Stop that you two. Both of you are in no position to be horse playing around like a couple of chidlren.." Oh if she only knew what was really going on..Maybe she would of left Taizen to his fate!

Musei sighed, watching Fulgar and Kurai walk off. It was almost a repeating pattern in his life; he would meet someone that he could admire and right off the bat they would be gone. Whether by their own accord or someone else's wishes, they always left. He smiled. He just couldn't help it. He laughed to himself at the complete irony of this situation, and every one he had before. Maybe it's my destiny to have no one to look up to. He thought, turning around and walking away.

Musei walked back outdoors, and just stared into the sky. Sure, it was still cloudy from the rain, but it was a beautiful sight. What was it about the sky that made Musei happy? Was it the fact it was alone, free? Or was it because it connected everything together, like some giant network of threads. Everyone saw the same sky, the same night. Connected, even miles away. A world away.

Musei closed his eyes, trying to stop the familiar stinging sensation of tears. Every time I start something emotional, I start crying. Once assured he wouldn't start sobbing, Musei walked back to the middle of the fighting ground. He looked at every scorch mark, remembering the Fire benders. He passed to the puddles of water and the continually melting ice spikes, thinking of the Water benders. Crumbled steps and pillars, Earth. But he couldn't find any trace marks for an Air bender. Did they leave no marks? He sighed, sitting on an undamaged pair of stairs, and began playing with a stray leaf that came across his path; sending it in a cyclonic pattern, higher and higher. Then he bored of it, letting it slowly fall to the ground.

What do I do now?
PostPosted: Mon Apr 30, 2007 3:44 pm

Musei, after a long pause of contemplation, remembered the man who tried to kill Fulgar. Stupid idiot. He thought to himself. I should give him a piece of my mind. He stood up and walked back to the medical area. He quickly eyed the bed that Fulgar once was lying in, before looking for the one that tried choking him to death.

Because there weren't too many people in the room, Musei quickly found his target. He stood directly in front of his bed, and merely stared at him. After a few seconds, he stood on the edge of Taizen's bed. He then pointed at him with all the spite and malice he could manage, his face displaying the same. "I'm not done talking with you." He started, narrowing his eyes. "How dare you try to kill someone! Someone who's actually nice!" He was going to go off on that, but he kind of remembered something about Fulgar's alter-ego, Cain. "I don't care if that Cain guy terrorized you all. I'm sorry if he caused you pain. I'm sorry if he tried to kill you like he did me. I fear Cain, but not Fulgar.

Why let one man's action, though he's in the same person's body, affect how you view the true man? He's good, he's nice. Have you never made the time to get to know him?! I know he has probably done something to you, but why hold some petty grudge? That makes you weak, a coward. In the wild, grudges will get you killed."

((XD Taizen is going to have fun. <3 ))

Abruptly, Taikai released his hold on taizen, and helped him stand up on stiff legs. Taizen and Taikai looked very embarrased, and seemed to choose silence over arguing, apparently Taikai must have had enough sense to not make Taizen a blustering fool. "Thank you Niima..." Taizen said, with a stiff little bow that could barely be considered a bow with the craning of his neck. (he didn't trust his legs enough for him to actually bow.)

He promptly fell onto his bed sat down on the edge of the bed, his mjouth closed firmly so that the small 'oof' sound could not escape. He gave niima a small smile, his stomach rumbled and made a sound reminiscent of a very small lizard.(Like, 'hiss!') he smiled awkwardly, as though he were afraid to take some of the food, he then realized how very awkward it would be to have to feed himself with one hand... He reached over to the extra bowl of Water Niima had left the night before. unfortunately, much of it had evaporated, but there was still some, and with his good hand, attempted to bend it onto his right wrist.

It worked, but it didn't fly smoothly like it did the night before. Rather it looked forced, and sluggish. And the light that emitted from the water was dull, and forced. After the bit of water dissapeared. Taizen tested his finger's stiffly. He felt no pain, but it felt like he was wearing a glove, rather than his own skin. How troublesome...

He smiled at Niima, removing the inspecting gaze from his hand to Niima's face. Almost as though she were saying that his shift of work was over, and that he could go home. He thanked Niima again before reaching out stiffly with both hands, and took a small loaf of bread. It steamed and it smelled as though on the inside were cooked, and sweetened meats. He brought it to his mouth contentedly when an annoying, and higher than a normal man's voice. Made him drop the loaf onto his lap, his clothing was still ratty, and tatter'ed, Taizen probably should have changed when niima left to bathe. (She did.) But he was too preoccupied with Taikai at that moment. Now with an annoying child pointing fingers, and scolding him, Taizen really felt as though his current appearance suited the moment. He couldn't exude his aura of superiority over the boy if he was dressed like a homeless bender.

his stomach hissed at the boy, reminding Taizen that he was hungry, apparently Taizen was holding a deaf ear to the young boy, he picked up the bread and brought it to his mouth. And then the child called him weak... hmm... taizen needed a pointy object... For some reason, Fulgar's scythe was in the room, a note was next to it. somewhere inside Taizen hoped that the note and scythe were to note Fulgar's death overnight, and that since Fulgar didn't really have a will, Kurai had entrusted the scythe to Niima. Either way, he reached over with his good hand and plucked the scythe from it's resting place, it was heavy, and when he shifted it into his stiff hand he felt almost like it could drop any minute now. He swifted it back into his good hand, and turned to the child again. apparently his stomach was still angry, hissing at the boy to answer for Taizen before he opened his mouth. He of course, did open his mouth afterwards. "Your capability of forgiveness then, is great enough to forgive Fulgar, but not me?" His voice seemed almost a growl.

The cythe did not interest taizen, it was as good as a knife with which to cut his bread. but since he couldn't move his feet like he would like. and his right arm was as raspy an old glove. Perhaps he could threaten him with the scythe... Ah but Niima... what would she think...? Ruining all of Taizen's petty grudges...

Apparently Taikai beleived Taien's scolding as a given, and did not pay attention, taking a bowl of soup and quickly finishing it it in a matter of seconds, before reaching for a loaf of bread similar to the one Taizen had collected.(And still not eaten...)

It killed her inside seeing Taizen like this. Barely able to bend. And what looked so forced. She sighed a little but placed the tray where both Taizen and Taikai could take what they wanted. Food would do them both good. Boy...he was smiling alot. What had happened while she was gone?

Then came the youthful voice. She blinked and looked over to the stranger. She watched in silence for a few moments, even noting Taikai's silence. Her eyes where focused on Taizen and that scythe. She was giving him the 'don't even think on it' type look. But eventually she would look to the stranger.

"Young sir. Calm yourself. I agree Fulgar is a kind man. But he also swore to us that Cain would not hurt anyone in this temple. That his soul focus was Fulgar. He lied..Fulgar is unable to control Cain. And though it pains me to say, he's hurt more then his fair share. I doubt seriously Taizen would kill without a reason.."

She looked towards Taizen. Of course, Niima didn't know that Cain threatened to rape and kill her. To kill Taikai. Take everything that Taizen held dear. Truthfully she didn't see Taizen killing anyone without solid reason. Or even Taikai allowing it! Her lips pressed together as she tried to fit a puzzle together she didn't quite have all the pieces to.

Eventually she would look back to Musei, a small frown pulling her lips. "Shame on you for insulting like that. Expecially when you know very little of the situation or to whom you are spatting such insults to. To know someone for such short amount of time and go to someone whom you don't know at all, and insult like that, is very dishonorable. Not to mention entering the wounded's quarters just to insult them.." It was probably a good thing she didn't know the young lad was a airbender yet. She would of chewed him up far worst then she was. For someone so young to think they know everything and insult another like that was unheard of in her village. Irresponsible and dishonorable.

Looking over she noted Taikai trying to steal Taizen's food and her hand went out quickly to slap the top of his hand softly. "Leave some for the rest of us, Taikai. If you want more go see the woman in the kitchen. She misses you and I am sure would feed you till your eyes cross." She grinned playfully at the old man.

Musei only blinked. It was all his motor functions could allow at the moment. His whole body was frozen with shock. Sure, he was used to people talking, but no one had ever scolded him so. He honestly didn't know how to react. Should he be mad? Should he feel remorse? Should he walk away without a word? He just trusted it to his gut. "My ability of forgiveness reaches out to those who ask for it. You, mister, don't seem like the kind that would. So far, you've shown me that you can't."

He took another breath, ragged and shallow. The butterflies he had felt previously seemed to have multiplied and densed into one single point in his stomach. It was almost nauseating to breathe, let alone speak. The young airbender felt just about to faint. "And from what you have all said, and the way you all treat him, I suppose he hasn't been the best of people. I know that. I understand that. But...he's so sincere."

Then, he focused his childish rant on the woman. His youthfully sparkling eyes looking at her with the greatest amount of pity and scorn he could manage. "No. Shame on you for defending this murderous, arrogant piece of crap! I don't care if you think I don't understand! All I need to know is that he hurt people. People do that every day. This kind of stuff happens everywhere! What, just because you're a bender means that you can choose to hate someone forever? You immature jerks!"

He took another deep breath, trying to keep as much composure as possible without having his legs buckle underneath him. He was backtalking to two people he knew could very well snap him in half. But, right now, he didn't care. He just wanted them to...to...understand. Finally, he ended his rant with a final sentence. "You want dishonourable? Try this jerkwad..." He pointed to the man in the cot, "...who tried to kill an unconcious man."

He couldn't take it anymore. His legs began shaking uncontrollably. To hide it, he grabbed onto the bedframe. He knew this feeling, but the situation was wrong. Normally he felt this when being chased by some bloodthirsty animal. Not...just talking. Fear? Why is this emotion here?

Her eyes went wide when the lad turned his attention on her. And with such a disrespectful mouth. And once she got over the shock her mismatching eyes narrowed to daggers. "Hold your tongue young one! He is no murderer unless he's done the act, and as Fulgar still stands, he has not committed the act. And whom are you to be so ...rude to even step foot in the temple field when battle is going on? Or to burst into someone's private quarters like you are master of this temple!? Furthermore whom are you to set judgement on another when you know nothing of the situation? You where shown a few moments of kindness and you are ready to point finger in judgement of another. You have no control over how another holds grudge over another or not. And to call someone immature while using that language."

Her jaw tightened as she stood, her mismatched eyes bore to the child with such anger. Purely..from his disrespect and insult towards her.. This boy was about the same age as her youngest brother would of been if he had lived to this day. And she felt such..disgust in his words. And then had the nerve to call her immature?! She had to steady her hand to smack the child across the face. "You cross a line that best not be crossed, boy. You have no solid evidence to stand on when all you seen was a brief moment of what has happened. Look at Taizen..and think back to how hurt Fulgar was. Taizen is barely able to walk and has a broken arm. Fulgar was able to walk out of the temple most likely on his own after what rest he had. The fight between the two is not yours to judge, nor is it your right to say who a person can have a grudge on. If Taizen has a grudge towards Fulgar or Cain, or even both, that is his choice. Not yours. As for murdering...Fulgar still lives and I doubt seriously Taizen would of went as far as to kill him. Maybe scare him.. but not kill him. If we wanted Fulgar dead we would of never saved him in the first place. Now I suggest you take a moment to take a deep breath and reflect on my words before you spout anymore insults that dwindles away any of what respect I have for you left." Her last words came out as a snap, obviously quite peeved at the youth.

Taizen wasn't going to kill Fulgar. Cain maybe..but not Fulgar..Right? She looked over to Taizen as if he where going to ask the silently asked question.

That was all Musei needed. He knew he shouldn't have, and he regretted saying it all. He wanted to take it all back, but knew he couldn't. A stupid mistake. He tried calming himself down, but it wasn't working. Once the woman stopped berating him, all he could see or hear was his heart beating as if to burst from his ribcage.

Musei wanted to say that he was sorry, but all the words seemed to stick in his throat. He tried breathing, but his breath seemed caught up in the same lump in his throat. He slowly sunk to his knees, trying not to cry. He felt so horrible, but would a simple sorry make it all better? He choked on that lump, hiccuping a short intake of breath. Quickly it was followed by a series of muffled sobs; Musei was covering his crying face with his young and weathered hands. He tried to not cry, but he couldn't stop.

Through the gasps of breath, he tried to say "I'm sorry."

Taikai gave a little laugh, and Taizen sighed, placing the bread on Taikai’s plate, quite losing his appetite. Apparently, the ferocity of the child had prompted Taikai to gaze upon the Child, un-judgingly, Taikai it seemed, had the insight to see both sides of the argument. But did not speak up, it was such a deep shade of grey, that speaking would only muddle the mess further.

Taizen however, seemed to think that the child's ‘holier-than-thou’ attitude was so akin to his own, that it grated his nerves, how could a child be so presumptuous? Taizen was used to the Child's anger, and the child's scorn, it was nothing more than hero worship in Taizen’s opinion. A newborn chick will believe a turtle seal was his mother if it is the first thing it see’s. It almost struck him as funny that the child had been taken in by Fulgar, a sort of Irony one would read in scrolls of fiction.

Fulgar... The two-faced... One face would have nothing to do with violence, the other fed off of it. Taizen soon lost all apathy towards the child as he insulted Niima, Taizen had a deep wish to freeze the child where he stood. Of course, Niima would not stand for that, Niima was his leash, to keep him from exacting revenge on fools. But among the anger in the pit of his stomach, there was also fear. A small bit of fear that dared not cross Taizen’s face. If Niima never found out Taizen had attempted to suffocate Fulgar, the world would continue spinning, but now that this dangerous secret had almost became lose, the worl was slowing, and threatening to fall off completely from it’s axis.

He was of course, rescued by Niima, she apparently could not think him capable of murder. She even defended him, vehemently at that. And inside, Taizen felt pain replace the fear. Niima was protecting her new… Family… What if her new family wasn’t worth protecting? Was that what hurt Taizen? That he was not worth being protected by Niima? That she was protecting him more than the other way around?

Niima… Beauteous, kind… Pure Niima… What strange Irony that she cared about an attempted murderer… She wouldn’t care a thing about him if she knew the truth… Or would she? Would Taizen scar her emotion’s further? She created a new family after having tested these people far before trusting. What a horrible… Horrible… Then it was decided, if only to protect Niima, he’d tell her everything, every single plagued, thought. Perhaps he could cleanse his tablet with honesty, and Niima’s own purity…

The child, it seemed; was indeed just a child, and Niima’s words must have cut him deeply, for he bawled so. Niima… Every action he took was affected by Niima, or altered because of her presence… “Fulgar is a very sincere person.” Taizen announced finally, and inside he hated himself for saying that, but it was just one more thing he’d confess to Niima. “And Cain is his exact opposite, you’re right, What I did was wrong. And I’m wrong.” What else was he to say? He was better off just finishing it there. And he would, what else could he say until he and Niima were alone again…? Maybe, ‘I’ve gone crazy?’

Niima stared at the child for several..long..moments. Whaaaa?? Surely he was not expecting for them to take a verbal beating without retaliation. She sighed softly and moved over to the boy, kneeling down and wrapping her arms about his shoulders. Even drawing him lighlty into a hug to hopefully calm him down.

She nearly toppled over upon hearing Taizen's words. Her eyes rose towards Taizen with question. She felt her stomach tighten. He had..tried to kill Fulgar? But..why? Surely there was a reason behind it. "Taizen..?" Apparently she wasn't aware or going to wait for him to explain in private. Her eyes shot to Taikai like he knew something. How else would the old man be so calm like this! She was definately out this loop! She looked back to Taizen, concerned and conflicted.

She would wait long enough to she knew the boy was alright before she pat his shoulders reassuring then pulled away to stand. And she just ...stared at Taizen. Waiting. If he wanted to take her elsewhere to explain she would follow. But wait she would..patient as always.

Sometimes, Being near Niima felt like being near two people, whether it was from the two differently colored eyes, or from her ability to think twice as fast. "Niima... I wanted to talk to you... But..." He suddenly felt very self conscious of Taikai and the child. "Not now..." He finished. He didn't dare stare into her questioning eyes anymore, trying to figure out what she thought, and how that would affect him... He couldn't heal himself if she chose to leave... All he'd do... All he could do was hide behind his stern mask. His holier-than-thou attitude seemed stronger now, almost as though he were trying to make everyone around him see him as Justified. It couldn't work of course, and since Taizen had no intention of casting the look anywhere near Niima, it could not trouble her... More than the whole conversation had at the least.

"Do you two want to leave? I can entertain the child," He told Taizen and Niima, stooping to the child afterward. "Would you like that?" Giving him a friendly smile, this kid.. He seemed so much wiser than most children. True, it seemed like he was a bit Naive, but perhaps he didn't know better. He had high morals... That was for sure... Maybe they could just talk?

She was a smart gal. That's why Taizen liked her company was it not? Her right hand rose, beginning to rub at the bend of her left arm almost as if she where trying to rub away some bad feeling. The way he spoke..she had never heard him never just..tell her something. He was hiding something. And very well. Why..? Why suddenly the distrust? She wanted to blurt out 'but why..' but she remained silent. That was until Taikai's words fill her ears. It took a moment or two to register what he had said.

She tilted her head and looked over to Taikai. "Thank you.." Then her attention turned to the youth. "Please..allow me and my friend to leave without any ill will. We do need to talk. When I return, I would like to meet formally.." She offered a kind smile to the youth before addressing Taikai. "See if he's hungry too, Taikai. He may have my share of the food." Because quite frankly..her appetite disappeared some few minutes ago. Her stomach was so tight that she was worried about passing out. Both because she was..well..hungry..but more overly worried. Scared in fact. So her stomach was doing loop-de-loops and backflips through burning hoops.

She was giving Taizen no room to disagree with Taikai. She wanted her fear..her worry..to be quenched. She moved closer to Taizen but out of reach of the scythe he still held so firmly. She continued to feverishly rub at the bend of her arm, her attention fully to Taizen as if silently waiting for him to lead the way. Anywhere..she would follow..
