As Bobbi sat, contented to read on the bench, xyr eyes kept looking over to the antlers resting beside xyr. Others had certainly seemed set on dolling the Litch up for the season. After a couple glances here and there, Bobbi placed a bookmark and set it down, picking the antlers up again. After giving them a couple turns to look them over once more, smiling ever so slightly at the jingling sound they made, the Litch replaced them on xyr head once again. Giving a small shake here and there, satisfied with the small ringing in xyr ears, Bobbi had picked up the book once more. It wasn't until xe overheard someone else talking about bell earrings did Bobbi look up once more. Hmmmm... Rising from the spot on the bench, Bobbi wandered over and picked out a set of earrings as well. After giving xyr thanks, Bobbi put the earrings on, smiling as they jingled as well.
Matty watched in pure amusement as the other seemed to semi-freak a bit. It took a lot to hold back his amusement that was in laughing form. Though when the other guy looked like he was playing some sort of red light, green light game, that did him in and he laughed. "Oh man... You look ridic like that dude!" Reaching up, the Goblin managed to coax the fluffbug into his hands, and pulled them in close to himself. Yeah... he was totally gonna keep this one. Petting the bug he teased the other guy a bit. "There. All chill dude. She wouldn't have hurt you, anyways, but the freak out was priceless." Matty grinned, taking the chance to mess with the guy, flipping the back of his hair up with his free hand. "By the by. The boa looks fabu on you." Not wanting to feel out of place now, he reached over and grabbed up a pair of antlers, putting them on his head. "Though I don't think you got anything on me~"
It took some time for anything to really catch his attention as he walked about, sipping his coffee. If anything, the coffee itself was worth the trip. It was free and actually really good. It wasn't often that free and coffee were a good combination. Smirking at his own thoughts, Exodus actually stumbled upon an interesting stand of books. Needless to say he was somewhat embarrassed for something that seemed a romance novel to catch his attentions... but he really wanted to see what it was about. He took it up in arm and quickly paid for it, hopefully not being caught with such a thing by anyone nearby. Though, curiosity really began to get the best of him and he began flipping through and skimming some pages as he walked about and sipped his coffee.
And, even more surprising, as he was skimming his book, someone plopped plopped something on his shoulder before walking away. It was a bit startling... and warm. Turning his head, green beady little eyes looked up at him. "Uh... Well hello there." His eyes widened as the little creature just kind of stayed put. "Well, I suppose if someone was to be looking over my shoulder, you being said someone it's so bad."
Gly blushed and rubbed the back of her neck and then laughed in a nervous manner, being called on her flirty, which Gly didn't really mean. "I guess it's a defensive mechanism, I developed a long time ago to protect myself." Gly gave Dodger a real smile, less teasing. "If we're going for blunt and honest, then I'll try to drop the flirting with you Dodger." Gly nodded "Your a great guy, but I don't think in my current state of thinking that I'm ready for a boyfriend or girlfriend." Glykeria said psychoanalyzing herself again. Sometimes she thought way to much, covering it with flirting. Gly had never had someone hit the nail on the head, that the flirting wasn't for what most used flirting for. Glykeria smiled "Sure why not." Gly attempted to throw the ball to knock over the milk bottles but she wasn't able to knock them down. She was given a small bracelet as a consolation prize. "Oh well, your turn Dodger."
Cimara chuckled "I didn't mean it as an insult, I just amuse, most others I meet are university students or academy students. Not teaching, I teach Law at the university." Cimara blinked at her explanation for the plushies. "My goodness, with this many plushies, the freshling must think you are very lonely and depressed.. perhaps two sets of eyes will spot the child, sooner rather than later? Then you can politely decline the gifts??"
"I am sorry to offend you, and I don't mean to scare or upset you, some people get upset, just dealing with a litch, but I assure you that I am not here to steal your festival treasures, but I would like to make a deal with you. Your different than any freshling I've ever met and I would just like to talk to you and make notes for my studies, I'm an Enoch house student, I want to be a scientist when I grow up." Gwen in a moment of childish glee jumped up and down. "Once I figure out what you are, maybe I can research, others of your kind, there must be others!! Then I can make that my thesis!!" Gwen turned back to the girl and said "Since I'm still a freshling like you, I won't ask you for blood tests or tissue samples." Gwen said honestly "Maybe when I'm a junior or senior I can start collecting bio samples to examine!!" Gwen said excited by figuring out why some nightmares were born different from others. "Will you accept, a lollipop, bag of candy or candy floss as a down payment?? Or would you like these two plushies?? Researching you is more important than keeping them for myself." Gwen said so excited.
Odessa bounced as one of the fluffbugs followed her, buzzing around her head and shoulders. She bit her lip, her hands giddily clapping. "It's too cute!" She exclaimed, trying to think of names for it. "What do you think of the name Beelzebub?" She tilted her head to one side, looking at Kara seriously despite the pun that the name obviously was.
Kiessi couldn't believe their eye when they saw the little flying creatures from the Above. What were they?! Their little feet carried them quickly toward the booth, just watching them in pure amazement when one of the little guys came closer, flitting around Kiessi.
"Beelzebub...? Seriously?" Kara tilted her head and put one hand on her hip. Sometimes she wished she had a filter so she could spare her friend's feelings, but that wasn't like her. Seeing Odessa's look on her face, she just sighed, shaking her head to and fro. "It's fine, if that's what you really want to name it.."
Anara eyed her carefully, still very unsure. She nibbled her lower lip, not liking at all to be cornered and forced to converse. She almost looked like a deer that wanted to run, and probably would have if it wasn't for her loot being behind her. Her large ears twitched in an uneasy gesture. "What... do you... want to study about me.. exactly...?" She made a glance toward the pile of treasures. "You won't... tell anyone... will you..?" Not to mention she wasn't sure about even the physical aspects of study, it wasn't like she was a lab rat to be studied. Her strange physical attributes had caused more than a couple of problems for her in her lifetime and she was only a child. However, when the girl mentioned the candy and plushies, her eyes looked up. It wasn't as fun as stealing one of them, but still... free loot... was free loot.. "Fine... I guess... Just... don't get in my way when I'm getting more stuff.. And don't tell anyone..." She frowned a little but reached for the red kidden plushie and added it to her pile.
Rorie finally made his way toward the library booth and began searching though all of them. He was looking for a particular book, one that his parents used to read him before he came to the Academy. He frowned, taking much longer than he thought he would trying to locate it before his eyes settled on a familiar cover. "There it is!" He exclaimed, picking it up to examine if it were in decent shape. Satisfied, he went to the attendant and asked gently, "May I have this one, please?"
Leddi glanced around, tilting her head through the crowd to try to spot a booth or game to play. She pushed her way through as gently as possible when she found a cute little stand with some stuffed animals. She smiled, picking one up. This would definitely be a good second prize.

She tilted her head when he corrected a thought she hadn't spoke aloud, perhaps it was a look she gave him? She certainly didn't expect that he could read her mind. She shifted in her seat. "I graduated from Grendel a few years back, myself." She purposely kept the amount of time vague, she was a woman, after all, and she didn't want to reveal her exact age. "How is being a teacher..? I imagine it can be rather hard at times."
To the statement about the child she just half laughed, shaking her head slightly. "They seemed rather excited to give me the plushies, I don't want to break their heart. It was very kind of them anyhow." She stroked one of the plushies carefully, absentmindedly pulling some lint from it.

The Freshling continued to pet his bird, scratching it's cheek with a pudgy finger. "Now that we're all okay," the Geist announced, slowly getting to his feet as well. "We can do something else. What do you want to do Silas?" he asked politely, looking around to all of the festivities. The other had been holed up in the corner when Caper had found him, had he been able to really play many of the games from there?
Okay, so now she had a potted plant. And a fennekit. It seemed her life was about to get a whole lot livelier. Wyrdda needed something to bring her energy up--the crowd in the room was making her a little nervous. She made her way over to a cotton candy vendor and asked for some of the blue candy using her white board. She smiled at them in reply, flashed the "thank you" card and continued on her way, snacking on the delicate blue candy.
Anchriesel took some of the offered bark with a "thank you." They looked over the Litch, then tossed another couple hoops. "Are you in Enoch? Only, I think I've seen you around before." In fact, he was certain he'd seen them around before. Chries was very good at remembering people. This Litch's name was...Zala? Zanna? No... "You're...Zalir, right?" One of his rings caught the pole, and he won a bracelet as a prize. He picked the black and white snowflake one. It was different.
"You have a goat, huh?" Dad asked. "That's...interesting." Dad paused to look at the goat's butt. Xenophon wondered why he did that. Apparently goat butts had something to do with gender, because he said, "Actually, your Persephone is a boy kidden."
Xeno blinked. "How can you tell?"
Dad hesitated. "You can tell with animals. You'll learn how to do that as you get older. So, what did you think of Mr. Datura?"
Xeno thought about it. "I like him," he said finally. "Dad, you're dating him, right?"
Once again, Dad snorted. He recovered, though, as Xeno accepted a red necklace from a nearby senior who was giving them out. "I'd...I'd like to date him, Xeno. But I won't date him if you don't like him."
The Chimera tilted his head. "Are you asking my permission? Because if you are, then I say yes, you may date him."
Wow--Teo's plan had worked perfectly! Now the plushie cannons were in sight. Or rather, the plushie cannon. There was just one. And instead of stacks, there were boxes and boxes of them, each wrapped in plastic bags that were torn open and stuffed into the cannon. Talya took a deep breath and snuck over to the cannons. She reached a hand into one of the boxes and grabbed a purple fennekit in its bag.
"Hey!" a senior snapped. "Go on, shoo! Get one later!" Talya squeaked and ran back to the other freshlings.
"It will be more difficult than we think," she said matter-of-factly as she opened up the bag. Oooooh, the plush's fur was so soft...
"Hey, kid!" the senior shouted. Talya turned around in time to get hit in the eye with a bracelet. Her third eye. Talya yelped. "Oops! Sorry!" The senior rushed over, face chagrined. Talya rubbed her forehead. It hurt! She began to cry, pulling away from the terrified senior.
Oh no! Poor Talya! Lillian hesitated, but...well, the orange boy? Perigor? Was giving her a look, gesturing with his head towards the boxes. Oh--oh! Was this a distraction? Was it? She snuck past the sobbing Imp and panicking senior to look into the boxes.
Apparently they weren't really well organized--there were other types of trinkets in there was well, all of which had been tossed into an empty box. One such trinket was a book. With an Imp on it! And a Chimera? It looked scary. But fun! She bet the Chimera was the bad guy.
Evey gently brushed the senior away from her new friend. "It's okay." She hugged Talya, who was slowly ceasing to cry. Odd--Talya's forehead was wet. Evey brushed her bangs aside only to see--uh!
...Oh, okay, well, Evey wasn't one to talk. She brushed Talya's bangs gently back into place and turned back to the senior. "We'd just like some stuffed animals," she said. "We thought we'd come up here and get some, since you have so many that you're throwing them at people. They kind of hurt when they hit you in the head," she added.
The senior paled. "Um, um, sure," they said. "Uh, we've, we've got plenty. Um, what would you like?"
Evey thought about it. "I'd like candy," she said honestly. "But I also like blue plushies."
The senior nodded and handed her a bundle of teal candy canes and a stuffed vespercat. She smiled. "Thank you. Happy Solstice!"
Ved was lagging behind his friends--again. There were just...so many skyfish around! Looking like they were hurt! One of them he found attempting to swallow an entire candy cane. He gently pried the candy canes out of the fish's mouth, then looked around for his friends. Where were the--oh. Oh, right, the plushies! He stuffed the new fish in his sleeve and squeezed through the crowd. "Um, 'scuse me--excuse--um, my friends are--um, excuse me--"
Finally, the kids had gotten to the cannon, and it looked like they were making chaos. One of the seniors was handing out toys and trinkets, and another one looked like they were going over there to help. That left...three left on the cannon, and they were all watching the show. Throwing a tantrum, that was...not a strategy Kuni would have used. He picked up a bucket full of cold cotton balls from someone giving them out and slowly wandered over there. This was just the distraction he was looking for.
Oh! This Imp knew zem? That was, um... a little awkward, since zey didn't know him. "Um, yes, oh, yes, I'm Zalir. Yes. Um, I, um, don't...recognize you. I mean! I've seen you around, but I don't know your name." Zalir's cheeks heated up and zey accepted more rings to toss. Zeir rings mostly landed perfectly, and zey won a bag full of mints. That was, well, at least zey could cover up zeir breath...
Oriset found she kind of liked the basketball game. Maybe she was secretly good at it. She took another ball and tossed it to the hoop. She got three tries, but only got one in. Oh, poop. Oh well. Peppermint candy, anyone?
Quilo didn't really want to drag Ella around everywhere, so he suggested that they maybe sit down and talk. Or just...sit. He liked spending time with her. He felt different around her than he felt with anyone else. It was a nice feeling. Someone gave him a blue boa that he wrapped around his shoulders and, on a whim, wrapped a bit of it around her shoulders so that they were both wrapped up in it.
Time was passing more quickly than Guereda had expected. But that was alright. They had time to find another book they thought their daughter might like--a classic, The Little Voidmaiden. And what was more, they were able to catch one of the plushies that flew through the air. It was a blue and white vespercat--well, Evey liked blue, right? And would probably like cats? They smiled and stowed it away in their stash for Evey.
