But if he did that... he didn't have any more free hands to grab the pig. He dropped his crook into the mud and continued the chase. He could get that later! He had to win first.

Quote: I'm getting trampled by a snoutbeast! Hurray!Total time: 50+40 seconds Tickets won: Running in circles, Poe struggled to get his hand on the snoutbeast. And without his crook, he couldn't really see where he was going. The disguised greenblood tripped over a pile of muddy hay, and heard the snoutbeast race past him. He made sure his disguise still covered his horns, and continued on.

I've added aaaall the ingredients I added the first time I did one of these. SO, they MUST come out PERFECT." Eridia had an obsessive smile on her face and it died quickly when she saw her batch of horribly crafted mooncakes. No matter what she did, they'd come out worst that the last batch. She closed the lid quickly and gathered up all her badly made mooncakes

Quote: I'm getting trampled by a snoutbeast! Hurray!Total time: 90+ 45 seconds Tickets won: This was not the time to slow down! Poe picked himself off the ground and chased the pig around the pen. He was really glad the woolbeasts were never this riled up when he had to chase them down. Usually they would just follow Lanata and not give him any fuss at all. He had to be wearing it down though! It couldn't possibly keep up this energy for long.

Quote: I'm getting trampled by a snoutbeast! Hurray!Total time: 135+40 = 175 seconds Tickets won: Suddenly, Poe had an idea. He scrambled in the mud for the discarded crook. Picking it up, he resumed the chase, and got in front of the snoutbeast. Using the crook to block the path, he managed to stop it long enough to grab. Poepoe straddled the pig and held on tight, and wrassled it into submission.
Sweaty and muddy, he took the pig back to the booth owner. "Boy, that was a bit of work, eh? I much prefer the bigger beasts. They tend to run less," he said. He accepted the prize, the stuffed snoutbeast, happily. Maneki would love it, he bet!

Quote: I'm getting trampled by a snoutbeast! Hurray! Total time: 0 + 25 seconds Tickets won: TBD It was good seeing Aerona again - she was just as full of energy as he remembered. Even after wrestling a snoutbeast, she was bubbling with excitement. She was different, however; something in the way she smiled was different, and she was also much much taller. She goaded him towards wrestling the beast. Challenged him, even. His eyes gleamed. " Do I ever," he uttered. Then he clambered over to get in line. Just before it was his turn, he shuffled to Aerona and plucked his lusus from his hair. " Hold Pops for me." He ran back; it was his turn to wrassle. As the beast came around, he whooped loudly and charged, grabbing hold briefly before the muck slipped it away. He fell face first into the muck, and the snoutbeast, squealing, scurried away. He rose, and began chasing. He was surprised he was as quick as he was; Aerona's workouts back in the day really did affect him. He focused in on his goal.

That, or underestimated the short fatty legs of the snoutbeast. It scuttled away from him and he tried to catch up. He barely kept traction as they wheeled about the ring for a steady half a minute.

Quote: I'm getting trampled by a snoutbeast! Hurray! Total time: 25 + 30 + 5 = 60 seconds, exactly! Tickets won: 17 Adamaz gritted his teeth. He was in the moment. He was the moment. His feet dug into the mud up to mid-thigh, and he pushed off the ground with as much speed as he could manage. He moved to head the beast off, and it turned around to avoid him. Instead of losing his momentum by turning, however, Adamaz kept going - straight towards the fence. " Parkour!" He shouted, stupidly, as he jumped onto the fence, dipping in with his legs, and then bounding away from the fence towards the snoutbeast like a rocket. He fell short of the pig, but slid on the mud straight into its chubby legs. It squealed as it lost balance in the middle of its turn, and fell on top of the child. Adamaz grunted, and flailed until he grabbed hold of one ear, and then another. As the pig rolled off of him, he rolled with it, and he was on top. Adamaz definitely did not plan that. He'd meant to land on his feet after jumping off the fence, to keep chasing. But whatever - the beast was his! He may be small, but his weight kept the pig from rising long enough for him to be declared the winner. Huzzah!

Quote: I'm potentially poisoning everyone. Quality increase: +2 Barter crop: n/a Tickets won: 1 Joining in the festivities hadn't originally been in the cards. It wasn't the crowds that turned her off, not really. Nahori felt a strange, uneasy comfort when surrounded by other trolls. As a lowblood, it was easy to blend in, just another forgettable face in the crowd. On the flip side, being overwhelmed by the gaggle of bodies was also a very distinct possibility. The orangeblood was no stranger to either feeling.
Regardless, Nahori hadn't planned on making an appearance at the festival, yet here she was, awkwardly bumbling along and decidedly alone. Guineamom still seemed to take issue with her going anywhere unsupervised, but she was older now, grown enough to watch out for herself, and strong enough to occasionally venture out without asking permission.
Occasionally wasn't saying much, but it was something. Nahori vowed the night of the gala that she'd try and she made some attempt to stick to that, even when it was hard (it always was).
Tucking her hands into her pockets, she stepped up to the giant, bubbling pot that had lured her this direction with it's sultry scent. There wasn't much she could offer, she hadn't thought to bring crops from home for this, but tucked deep in her pocket was a few sprigs of parsley from the dinner she'd cooked last night. How had that gotten in there? Shrugging, Nahori dropped it in. Hopefully no one would notice the tiny bit of pocket lint that went in with it.

Quote: I'm getting trampled by a snoutbeast! Hurray! Total time: 30 seconds Tickets won: This was not a good idea. Staring into the mud, eyes nearly glazing over, Nahori knew it wasn't. She was flimsy and scared and Guineamom would scold her for coming home filthy. Even so, she'd watched a few others wrestle the creatures and walk away with adorable snoutbeast stuffies... This was not a good idea and Nahori knew it, but something in her gut swirled with nervous excitement anyway. It didn't hurt to try, right? It didn't hurt to have a little fun, right? She squeezed her eyes shut and waded in.

Quote: I'm getting trampled by a snoutbeast! Hurray! Total time: 30+35 = 65 seconds already subpar Nahori Tickets won: This was way, way harder than it looked. Nahori was used to some manual labor, picking and peeling vegetables, cleaning the hive... This was nothing like that. It was slippery and the snoutbeast was wilder than she was accustomed to dealing with. They didn't have animals back home, after all. Still, she wasn't ready to give up yet.

Quote: I'm getting trampled by a snoutbeast! Hurray! Total time: 30+35+15 = 80 seconds Tickets won: It was hard to tell whether she was getting used to the game or whether she'd simply ascended beyond herself, but Nahori barely felt much of anything as she continued to flail in the mud. For a brief moment she wondered if these snoutbeasts enjoyed what they were forced to do here or if they hated it. The latter would've made her feel bad if she wasn't already in too deep.

Quote: I'm getting trampled by a snoutbeast! Hurray! Total time: 30+35+15+15 = 95 seconds Tickets won: These new cowboy boots she'd picked out sure felt out of place on her feet now as she slipped and slid and did very little to make herself look like a real rancher. Nahori might've been embarrassed with how much time had already passed if she actually had any concept of it. As it were, the only thing on her mind now was winning. She wanted that stuffie and she wasn't going to give up. She had to keep trying!
