The Phanpy was out like a light, crushed under the weight of the ice. Still, his little trunk blew the frost away from him, so there was one less body Argyle had to worry about.

(20-6)+(9-11) = 12 DMG! Farfetch'd is at 7 HP! +1 to Maddie's attack accuracy!
The Blitzle, who was perfectly happy about her new name, pranced cheerfully about at the sight of her wonderfully-landed blow. She glanced back to Alice, who she know considered her personal cheering section. >Didya see that? Huh? Huh? I know what I'm doing!<
Alice sighed, baffled but pleased by her newest acquistion. "You did wonderfully, Maddie," she praised the Blitzle, running her fingers through her hair. Alice preferred to fight defensively, as did Vorpal, but she'd need to work with this new Pokemon. "Could you, um, please go on the defensive? Please?"
Defending? Maddie tilted her head to the side, glancing between herself and the bird in front of her. It was so boring... so she wouldn't! Ignoring her trainer's command, she instead aimed for a counter with another Quick Attack!
Surprisingly enough Argyle would actually snap his fingers. He'd been hoping for a corpse....for....reasons. Oh well, another time he supposed. Plenty of time to commit atrocious unnamed able acts and all. Deciding to finally recall Sybelle, the boy would chose to search out the boat on his own. It had to be nearby.

The Farfetch'd was in for a shock as he went tumbling back, loose feathers fly as his body finally caught on the thick grass surrounding them. After a bit of confused flailing the Pokemon would right himself and give a disgruntled quack! ">Dun get cocky lil miss! This fight's just gettin' started!<" the Guardian yelled, brandishing his leek which abruptly began to flow a bright green. He'd learned a lot of things out here amidst the grass, and one of em was how to cut like the edge of a leaf! Bolting forward, half flapping his wings, the Flying-type swung his weapon as he aimed to dish out a Leaf Blade!
Argyle found find himself on the shore, probably a very welcome sight after everything he'd been through. A familiar Lumineon floated off ths shore, her fins glittering in the air. She turned her head and smiled to the boy-- she recognized him. With a flap of her fins, she pulled forward towards him, bringing the boat around.

Kiani glanced down at Korbin, "I'm going to leave it up to you Korbin, since I won't be able to understand her answers." Kiani said. Korbin nodded and moved slightly towards the Litleo in a non threatening manner. "> Good day ma'am. My trainer and I wish to know if you would like to join our team. <" Korbin said, getting right to the point. If she said yes, then it was fine, if not, then he and his trainer would most likely continue on their way. But not before trying their hardest to get her to join the team.
Heaving finally reached his destination, Argyle could clamber into the boat with a heavy sigh. He'd be glad to be rid of this place. With that in mind the boy would give a sharp salute before they cast off. Were he an ill mannered lout, he might have even considered what some referred to as the one-fingered-salute.

Since the Bidoof wasn't inclined to bother Alexander and his group, they were not inclined to bother him, either. The trio continued onward through the bog, with the pokemon at least being certain they wouldn't have to worry about that part for much longer. Alexander wasn't so certain, but he shifted his hold on the pawniard egg he carried and kept pressing forward through the muck.

Alexander felt like he needed a bath as he continued onward through the bog. There was mud everywhere, and even though he never actually fell into the mud, he felt like he was soaking wet. Then again, it might have just been his imagination. Still, the area was not comfortable for him at all.

Alexander blinked as it seemed that he had finally reached the edge of the bog. On the one hand, that meant he only had a bit further to go and he could say goodbye to all of the mud, sludge, and water around him! On the other, he still hadn't seen hide nor hair of the evolution-causing stone. That meant he'd have to keep moving, and that was not a comforting thought at all.
{{OoC: Low number, no whammies! Just one more post!}}
As Alexander and his group continued, it would seem they had finally reached the end of the first ring and found the entrance to the second. It would seem like it was a peaceful transition as no pokemon approached them as they took their first step.
Thundering Meadows
Thunder cracks, heralding your entrance into this place. Lighting flashes to show the way. Keep your eyes off the performance in the sky though, and look ahead. The grass grows taller here, wet from the near constant rain. One wrong step and you might find yourself falling on your backside, or straight into the nest of a none-too-happy-Pokemon. Keep your eyes sharp, watch your step, and remember... a rumble doesn't always mean thunder ahead.

It seemed that Alexander would be getting that bath after all. Or, more accurately, a shower. The change was immediate as he was hit by a curtain of water from the sky. The sudden sounds of thunder made him and his pokemon cringe. But, he still had to press onward. That rock was out here somewhere! So, stopping only long enough to recall the barboach, Alexander used his wooden sword to push away the tall grass in front of him as he began to make his way through the meadow.

The Litleo stretched as Korbin talked-- it may not have seemed like she was listening, but she was just a busy little cat. And after having woken from her nap, she was quite curious. She admitted her interest was piqued thanks to this offer-- but they'd have to make it worth her while. >Maaaaaaaaybe,< she said teasingly, wiggling her tail back and forth. >But I don't go with just anybody, you dig? This is a nice rock, and I'm not about to leave it for just rando.< She hopped down, delicately landing in fron of the Wooper. >So let's play a game!< The Litleo pointed to a rock across the stretch of land. >Let's race! Whoever reaches that marker first wins. And if you win, I'll come with you!< She bounced on her toes, looking at Korbin with curiosity. >How's that sound?<
[EVENT!] [Race: each participant will roll 1 D20. It will be added to the Pokemon's speed. Whoever has the highest total wins.]

(18-3)+(9-11) = 13 DMG! Farfetch'd is at -6 HP!
>WOOOOOOO! GOAL, GOAL!< Maddie cheered, bouncing on the toes of her hooves. She pranced around the Farfetch'd unconscious body, clearly pleased by her efforts. On a blink of an eye, she bounded up to Alice, preening happily in front of the girl. >Didya see me? I was all nyoooooooooooooooom, and he was all AUCH NO and I was all in your faaaace and--<
>She can't understand you,< Vorpal remarked, rolling his eye.
Indeed, Alice merely smiled awkward in front of her new Pokemon. She definitely felt proud of her newest acquisition, but well... what happened if the Blitzle kept ignoring her? She needed to be a sterner trainer, but she was only used to Vorpal, who never had any qualms with listening to her. "You did really well!" she began, hoping praise would make things easier. "But... next time, would you please wait for me to give the orders? You're my Pokemon now, and um... well, we need to work together. We're a team." She tried to inject some strength into her voice as she lightly patted Maddie's neck.
The Honedge, meanwhile, was far more forward. He'd been resting on Alice's back, watching over her shoulder, but now he needed to act. Vorpal was actually quite impressed by Maddie's show of strength, but he wasn't sold on her just yet. Too impulsive, too noisy, too... much. Someone needed to lay down the law. He floated around, lightly slapping her with his tassel. >Listen to her, you ditz. You need someone to help you think stuff through, or you're going to get hurt.<
The newly-dubbed Maddie blinked, trying to take it all in. >Is... is that how this all works?< she asked. When the sword nodded, she tilted her head to the side. >Weeeeeell... okay. I can do that. Mostly.< She ignored the sighing Vorpal, and bounced up to boop her nose against Alice's. >Don't be sad! I won! And I'll listen! And I won!<
Though she couldn't know what her Blitzle understood, or what had occurred between her two Pokemon, that bit of affection seemed like a good sign. "All right, you too, let's get moving. You can stay out of your ball, Maddie, but you have to stay close to us, all right?" That established, she and her group took off through the wind and the rain.
In the wake of the defeat of the Farfetch'd, and their all too eager retreat, the child would manage to miss the Pokemon losing it's grip on the leek it carried. Much larger and sturdier than the average such onion. It was more of a Stick than a vegetable, but that hardly mattered now did it?
Far afield Alice would spot another Blitzle, this pone slowly chewing on grass. It didn't seem particularly interested in more than eating...although it seemed to take a step away when it noticed Maddie.
