"I'm checking the residential area now. There doesn't appear to be anything of note...huh?" Gin's eyes went wide as he neared the Dojima Residence, his local family's place. In truth it was the reason he'd taken the mission to patrol this area, but he hadn't expected to find anything unusual. And there were no Megrez Buds at the time, but there was something more surprising, emerging from the front door...an Obariyon! And it was wearing Seta's jacket! Were demons stealing all his clothes, and raiding his closets? "Hold it right there!" Gin shouted, sprinting after the demon as it took off in a huff down the road! He wanted to get the clothes back, sure, but there also had to be a reason that it was stealing from him. There had to be...right? What was going on!?

Faust parted ways with Nix at the base at this, before walking on.
Honestly, I'm glad she's safe..but, I hope I don't have to go do any more rescues anytime soon.' he thought, closing his eyes. A shift in the wind, and he barely drew his weapon, the energy impaling a Frost demon that tried to get too close. Without missing a beat, he continued to whistle and walk off, indifferent to yet another attempt on his life.
"Demons.."

"Hold it right there. I know you want to take them back to JPs...but hear me out." Just as the battle ended,a voice cried out to Gin and stopped him from returning to the Headquarters with the defeated in-tow. Turning to take a look at the voice's owner he spotted a man with brown hair and a blue, fur-lined coat. And out of the alley appeared Ronaldo Kuriki, a serious look upon his face. "I know how JPs might look on the surface, but trust me, when you get to the heart of the matter, it isn't justice that they are after. It's control. And there's one man responsible for the injustices visited upon the people by JPs...that man is Yamato Hotsuin."

"What are you talking about, injustice? And who are you?" was Gin's automatic answer, not taking this man at face-value but not dismissing out of hand, either. He would listen, but he wouldn't simply take his word as gospel. As easy as it would have been to walk away and finish the job of taking rioters to be locked up by JPs, there were human lives in the balance. That required paying attention to every angle, every bit of information to be heard. It was only fair. "What has Yamato Hotsuin done to make you say that about him?"

"Yamato Hotsuin does NOT care about the people of this country! He only cares about those with talent, those who are loyal to his ideals, and anyone he deems expendable gets trampled under his foot! And that's not all," the man was obviously struggling to contain his anger at the subject of the conversation and had to cut himself off to avoid getting worked up and ruining his chance to make Gin see reason, "My name is Ronaldo Kuriki, and I am fighting on the side of justice! We can talk about the specifics more another time, if you are willing to open your mind and listen. But for the moment, will you at least consider what will become of these people if you lock them up while the world is falling apart like this? Hotsuin won't give them a second thought, just lock them up and throw away the key. So I'm asking you, just this once, let them go...give these men and women a second chance. And I promise you I will do everything in my power to make sure they don't do anything this out of line again. Agreed?"

He had to consider the options carefully, but if he was completely honest, the man raised some good points. At a time like this, prisoners could be forgotten, and he didn't know the full truth about JPs, the Calamity, or anything just yet. Was it right for him to simply allow these people to fall to judgment the first time that he had stopped them? This man was asking him for a favor, and promising to talk about it later...he didn't seem entirely beyond reason. Could he really trust him to keep his word?

"Just this once, Ronaldo. But if there's a second time, I can't just let it slide," he conceded at last, releasing the people to the direction of the man in the blue coat, "In return, I want you to tell me everything you know about JPs and Yamato Hotsuin the next time we meet. Agreed?"

"Agreed. Farewell...for now."

Faustus Necromonium
Faust was pacing around the Base once more, before he saw a single one of the strange cone things standing outside..Looking like it was going into the base.
"Looks about..40 meters." he called, licking a finger and holding it up.
"No wind inside...probably a mild breeze outside. Juust...need to aim...here."
He drew an arrow and let it fire.....
A few moments passing, before the being dissipated into the air...Right after the JPs agents arrived on the scene.
"What the..Where did it go?!"
