The divine shield was unable to stop the bullet to the shoulder, but it was able to stop himself from getting hurt when his mana sword seemed to just crumble after the intense amount of force used to sunder it. The floating sword was not a force to be ignored, however, as it made its way behind Fischig and slammed into his back, insuring that he opened up his armor much like a canopener carved open a typical can.

That is it would have had Fischig not swung around at that moment, as his blade sunder Jay it carried through tell it blocked his other. Sending out a burst of will the blade shattered. "What's a sword that you conjure up to one that is physically here. NOW REPENT!" Completing the turn he drove the sword into Jay's side, he would part flesh and blood would run.

"That's it...get nice and close" Jay said with a grunt as he felt the blade drive into his side. He quickly reached out to the man's face and made sure to get a good grip, sending blast after blast of holy mana into the man's face. His other hand would grab the man's hand, making sure the sword didn't go in any further to him. He felt a tad faint as he felt his warm blood rushing, but then the adreniline ran though his body and gave him a second wind.

His sense flooded with a feeling of pure extasy, but it was a lie, this man who used the power of god was a mockery no better then the fallen one. The cackle of lighting arched along the wound as it parted flesh, Jay could try to stop it, maybe even slow it, but it wasn't going to be so simple. "YOU WILL FALL HERE!" he shouted and the light of lies faded as his faith sheilded him. He was blind, but what did that matter to one who was already half blind. A force rippled through the air and with the concusion blast of it moving so swiftly it lifted Jay and threw him back. Blood ran from his mouth. Quickly he radioed for the others to prepare for the last fight, he would finish this fight and join them later.

Jay screamed in pain as he was sent back, blood oozing from the wounds as he slammed against the wall hard. He began coughing up blood. Lots of blood. He also felt vomit coming on as well...but he tried to keep it down. This was turning out to be a bigger massacre than he was expecting. He'd lost his speed and was now running on sheer grit. His angelic eye focused on his target now and began to glow. His body seemed to just rise up as if he was possessed. He wiped his mouth and continued to come at Fischig, his boot-clad blood-stained feet making their way to his target. He was breathing heavily, but he made sure he wasn't going to charge in like Gallahad like he'd done before.

"Playing it safe this time are you?" Releasing the remainder of his clip he filled the air with the sound of gunfire. After he tucked it quickly back away. "That won't do you any good this time around." Rushing to meet him he held his sword before him, to lance him upon the blade, "See why I'll never see Heaven."

He swept his hand, sending that familiar gust of wind at Fischig as he watched the bullets come to a hault before him. He continued to walk, brooding. Thoughts of revenge came to his mind as he watched his opponent charge in on him. From his angelic eye came a single beam of light. It focused on the forehead, like a light on a sniper rifle, but unlike a rifle...this one was starting to burn through the center of the head. He continued to walk forward, a force that was gaining momentum. He grit his teeth, making sure he wouldn't be thrown back again. He saw the attack coming in and moved to the side in a circular motion, continuing to focus on the head.

His head was heating up, but most of the damage was bled away due to his shield. Despite all this blood seeped from his empty socket. As Jay moved away he shifted his weight to swing the blade into his side opposite his already wounded. Using the force he slammed his body into Jays.

He would grunt, jumping back to avoid the blade, but was knocked off of his feet with the sudden slamming of Fischig into him. He reached his hand back and caught himself, pushing himself back up to his feet and focusing his the beam back to his head. He would summon every scrap of mana inside of him, every bit of energy in his body into both hands and send it directly into the heavens. The beam was still going, however, and he was dipping into the portion of energy which reflected his own fatigue, and as he shot that beam at Fishchig, he began to grow weaker and weaker until he had to call the beam off.

Grunting, he would continue to move...now getting a bit sluggish in his movement.

His body conditioned to handle the strain of combat. Under normal circumstances he could be expected to go run a full day before dropping, but these were far from normal circumstances. "Blood of others has been spilled by my hands, adding your's means nothing to me." Holding up his last grenade, "Remeber this." his eyes drifted for a moment over the burning castle and with a smile he drove once more at Jay before catching him, holding the grenade against him untill it exploded in it's flame. Fischig had errected a shield but it could not protect his hand and it had been seared off as he was thrown back. Staggering up he coughed blood before he made his way. Leaving Jay there alone to have the napalm eat away at his body as it did his house.

Jay's eyes widened as he looked at the grenade explode, casting his body out towards the house. His face and body was almost completely drenched in blood, but before he passed out, he guided the intense amount of mana he'd shot up directly downward onto Fischig. The beam seemed as if God himself had sent down the beam of energy. It flashed a blinding white light, it blew leaves off the trees, it uprooted bushes, and it sent the ground from which the target was standing on to crumble.

Jay began to cough, and before he passed out...and suddenly the pain from the battle kicked in...and damn did it ever hurt.

Luckily, his loyal wife Pale had managed to cut through the fire and douse the flames. She was carrying Illiana...and it seemed as if she didn't have a tough time making her way through the flames. He breathed a sigh and passed out...wishing he knew if he dealt the death blow or not.

Pale got there after about an hour of jogging and running from Aes's office. The eye had to be somewhere around here. Maybe it could have some healing powers, but that was probably more wishful thinking than anything.

Lo' and behold, in the corner of the courtyard where a giant chunk of the brick and stone were missing, lie a circular object at the bottom of all of the crater. It was glowing a pale green, similar to the color of Jay's good eye...but once Pale came into focus, it seemed to turn to her natural eye color and stare right through her.

They'd gotten the eye, a mysterious figure had repaired Jay up nice and new, saved his life and Pale and Jay went home. This takes place about four hours later, Pale's suffering insomnia.
When had she had time to drink the damn tea anyways? Everyone in her clan was busy getting themselves in a near-death situation, the urge to run around like a chicken with her head cut off was much more tempting than being rational. So how could she be expected to remeber what to add to breakfast?! "It doesn't matter now, though," she thought miserably to herself "Knowing my luck we are going to have to deal with the consequences...I wouldn't have minded...if we didn't have this mess....everyone's in danger...and now I might be..." turning away from the sleeping Jay, she kicked at the blankets listlessly.

Jay felt a disturbance in the sheets, his angelic eye opening, followed by his regular eye. He let out a soft grunt as his head turned to see his wife. He sat up in bed, giving a yawn as he rubbed his eyes tiredly, asking "Can't sleep, love?"

He saw her expression, seemingly a panicked one. It was hard reading her expression, because typically people who were nervous were pale, and he'd been accustomed to seeing her pale white skin all of the time. He gently kissed her cheek, saying "You look like you haven't slept a wink. Is there something you want to talk about?"
