From afar Seth watched the battle and he couldn't be seen by normal methods for he was spying from his home plane while his kids wear out trying to find people to train with. He was wearing nothing, but black boxers made of a strange fabric and his hair had wild jet black hair had grown quiet long, he had grown it so long for the extra weight which in ordinary human wouldn't do much, but he wasn't ordinary his hair seemed inhumanly heavy for the last couple of months and was growing quiet rapidly up until just recently. He reached into a bowl of popcorn and took some of the popcorn out of every once and a while, but strangely he would never put it in his mouth and the popcorn pieces would never be seen again, not even in his hands.
Seth waited for something interesting to happen while sitting in his black leather chair and reading a good book as he loved multi tasking. Now even though he seemed relax he never let his guard down. In matter of fact he had some tricks waiting for any would be attacker.

thump thump thump thump
The siege pig was still marching towards the square. Getting pretty close.
No doubt everyone would start to notice. Though, how they reacted was up to them. So far the undead didn't seem to have Dwarven-made siege weaponry walking around.
No need to start yelling for Arzhael, because he shouldn't have a problem figuring out who and what was looking for him.
----
All six armed men kept a smooth run through the system of alleys. Two pairs carrying a long metal box between them, and two robotic dollies rolling along the ground with metal crates bigger than the men on them.
No stopping for bats or even zombies. They were heading straight for the Deity Office.

And just before the siege pig reached the town square a second story window was thrown open and Arzhael jutted his head out from behind a pair of polka-dot curtains, his gauntleted hands resting on the windowsill as he leaned his entire upper body out of the window.
"Man! Took you guys long enough!"
He didn't really wait for any sort of response, whether the siege pig was still moving or had come to a stop, Arzhael launched himself out of the window and landed rather roughly on the construct's back. It was probably lucky the dorsal find was there, as it gave his hand something to find purchase on before he slipped off the side and fell rather roughly to the ground.
Then, moving up the length of the pig before straddling it with both legs, Arzhael would bend over at the waist and attempt to look to Dvalinn through the viewing portal.
"So, what's the plan now shortstuff?"

Psychofish There had been two people who came on that motorcycle, if Kchain had ever gotten a view of it. The girl might have looked as if she'd been set to ride alone, helmet and jacket on, but she had called for someone else. That man was not far down the street. And it seemed Kchain had picked the wrong one to fire at first. From down that road, toward the gate, but not far, the gunman was going to be treated to a perfect view of a man stepping away from a motorcycle, going headlong into a charge toward him, and roaring like a mad man. Chances of him noticing the dangerous projectile headed from the quiet man down a sidestreet were low, when he had a man plowing in a berserker charge toward him, but he had bigger problems anyway. Specifically, four feet of sharpened steel clearing the sheath over the man's right shoulder. There wasn't a great deal of distance between them, but enough that the man had time enough to level the gun at Kalis and take a shot or two before he had to worry about the b*****d with the b*****d sword. The blade fell, in a reckless style seen more often than good swordsmanship, to the near the man's right hip, sloping gently toward the ground, but not enough to skim it. Both hands on the hilt, he twisted his left shoulder foward, obviously going for the full wind up leading to the sort of swing that'd hack limbs off and plow deep into bodies. The heavy armored boots slammed loudly on the street as he came on full tilt, stones and dust from rubble near them flying away from the points of contact. In fact, if he took the time to look carefully and actually think about what he was seeing, Kchain might notice that the air itself seemed to move around Kalis as it did over hot surfaces steaming in the sun. The air itself was being pushed away from his body by some force, though the effect on his clothes was inpercievable since it was being pulled around from his running anyhow. This of course, could sufficate Kalis if it went on long enough, but there wasn't all that much time. Seconds before contact. Gunman had better act quick. "HRRRRA AAAAAAAAAAAGH!"Kalis could swing and charge and roar all he wanted. The inevitable outcome didn't change. Someone was about to have their s**t ruined. Kchain waited until Kalis would stop to presumably swing, and then take a quickstep forward, more like a lunge than anything else. He was inside the swing of the opposing mans sword, his gun-hand moving to halt it whilst his sword hand drove the sharpened tip of it straight through the guys ribs. Even if the funny air-moving thing could somehow prevent this, it'd be negated as soon as it came within proximity of Kchain. "Die." He moved his gun hand a little, and started firing, several shells emptying themselves into Kalis' ribs, shotgun style. Kchain fired four rounds, leaving him with eleven still in the gun. As for the toy coming his way, his interception of Kalis' attack had put him out of the target range. Who cared if it hit anyway? Those things weighed what, half a kilogram at most? Oh, and he was aware of Rains movements. Biggest threats first 'n'all, though.

Owle might have been worried when the link to Maximos was cut off suddenly. However, she was a little busy...
"Getting shot at!"
Owle sent back to Maximos when he contacted her again, in a slightly panicked voice. As the next few seconds wore on, though, and she heard the comforting roar and footsteps of Kalis, she sent out another message.
"It should be fine, though." Owle was safe, though Maximos would feel through the link that something else was not fine...there was a flash of an image of a dead man, and the sense that somehow this was Owle's fault. "Kalis and Rain are here."
The flash had been unintentional, a surface thought leaking through.
"How about you? Still breathing?"
The ball of scales suddenly melted, reforming into a black cat, who surveyed the situation quickly with emerald eyes.

Correction. Someone was about to be ruined.
Before anything else it would have to be noted that a fastpitch [edit]Magic[/edit]8 ball would reach him before Kalis came within reach of even his hand-and-a-half sword. And if he did take the object heavier and harder than a baseball to his head at fast pitch speed, he was going to be messed up more than a fast speed baseball would have. Which meant, assuming he were near human durability in the noggin, he'd be floored and wavering in and out of conciousness at best. Considering that baseball players did wear helmets to avoid being knocked unconcious by pitches of a lighter, softer object.
Assuming he did not get his a** handed to him by the pitcher...
Since, apparantly, Kchain could negate magic at close range, one would assume he could sense it some. In which case, he'd probably a good idea of two things as soon as Kalis entered his range.
First, that there was an impossibly heavy-thick, or powerful perhaps, if one preferred those adjectives- flow of energy flowing out of this guy producing the outward force.
Second, that the energy wasn't so much summoned and controlled, as let flood out. It was, in essense, uncontrollable, for anyone and anything, and beyond proportion to be sapped off, supressed, counteracted, or countermanipulated.
Chaos, pure force acting to create a change. All Kalis did was decide which flood gates he opened for the energy- when they didn't force their way out dispite him- and it did the rest, usually at his expense as well as that of his surroundings.
So countermagic was a no go.
The second mistake was reading the future, not his opponent. Kalis was not running as per normal, but putting his weight behind a charge. Which meant, as he came within that swing reach- where Kchain was spared Kalis using the reach of his two hand weapon to split the man near in twain before the single hand sword could get near him, without bothering to stop and negate the benefit to the swing's power from his charge of course- Kalis would begin to twist his torso, driving the right shoulder down and forward.
Moving to stab him where he counted on him being as he stopped, Kchain would be considerably late as Kalis didn't take the time to slow much less stop. If the sword were moving into the stab from downard, to the side, or any position it could be used for anything in, it'd be too late to put the point in him at that time, and would find it's side tapping lamely against the man's body as it tried to move sideways to turn to occupy the space Kalis was already in so that the point could go forward into where he was supposed to be. If Kchain had held the sword way out behind him, putting himself way off balance and leaving himself wide open like some sort of moron, he'd have a longer time, it would have been more of an awkward stab than a good lunge and had enough extra time tacked on for that extra space covered would put Kalis' shoulder in Kchain's torso before he got it around to the man too close to stab with a weapon that long. The best possibly result for him was that his blade was something light and really sharp such as a saber, which could stab while it wasn't ideal for it, and the blade were to be turned sideways as he tried to lunge for some impercievable reason, in which case the low horizontal force of the blade being adjusted into position to lunge properly would mark Kalis' leather riding jacket, but not go through, considering how well leather resisted slashing on top of the fact that it wasn't an intended swing.
The funny air wouldn't do enough to bother mentioning to the sword Kchain was driving at him except require him to swing a little harder if he intended to try slashing at Kalis after the failed lunge and immediate aftermath resolved, and he had time enough to pull it back for that. What it would do was act on any bullets he tried firing, thanks to the low mass of any bullet and the lack of a continuing force acting behind it such as the sword would have in form of Kchain's arm, the bullets would be pushed outward as they neared him, slowing so little they still would have pierced into him, if they were not thrown off course and sent flying off past him at odd angles.
Continuing on, just where Kalis was going with this was already given. He tackled his right shoulder into Kchain's chest, bulling the man backward with him. After contact was made, leaving Kalis' arms beneath Kchain's left arm thanks to the shouldr going into the tackle, Kalis would swing with both arm's straight upward, left shoulder jerking down to pull the right one upward and allow for the swing to go at maximum power, besides without the blade hitting the ground.
And the b*****d sword in the heavy swing would strike upward into Kchain's armpit, hacking through the shoulder, violently jerking the arm out of it's socket and hacking through most of the muscle and tendon, chipping the bone it struck, and continuing upward out of what had been the other man's shoulder.
The good news was that if Kchain didn't die of shock, and they staunched the bleeding really fast, he'd have a rather good shot at surviving.
And then Kalis would stop charging, letting the shock of the blow and the backward motion he'd shoved into Kchain's upper body knock the man over as he dug in his own heels to break, twisting around and readying to stick the point of his sword into the remaining right arm, if Kchain tried anything with that limb. Anything being an action not including dropping the weapon, grabbing the wound, and screaming bloody murder, since Kalis wouldn't want to kill him for following natural instinct.

((Okay.
1. What the hell kinda magic eight balls have you seen? They weigh like, 100g and are quite easily broken. Plus, they're like... the size of a grapefruit, not dense in the slightest. And they're nearly hollow! *Knows this, because he broke one against a wall as a child*
2. I'm not gonna get into a "No u" match about powers with you. Trying to negate a negation is a bullshit tactic.))
Fortunately for Kchain, he HAD put the sword out behind him, and he was a heavily experienced warrior, thus knew how to handle the balance offset, using the weight transfer to increase the driving force behind the stab. Kalis now had a sword straight through him, piercing both lungs and if he were unlucky, damaging his heart in some way.
During the attempt to blow further holes through his new opponent, when Kchain noticed the lack of damage, he stopped after the first shot, instead continuing to hold back the swing.
He was already slightly crouched over from the initial attack, so it wasn't too difficult for him to meet the shoulder barge with a quick burst of strength from his legs, stopping Kalis in his tracks.
There was a noticeably "dock" sound as the MAGIC EIGHTBALL hit him, but no other notable effects.

Rain had charged Kchain after throwing that fastball pitch with the Magic 8-ball. In case the magic disruption Psychofish mentioned was actually in play, its important to note that this is not, in fact, a magical 8-ball. Just a cleverly named product. However, he would see that attention was purely focused on Kalis, who he had not seen when he first initiated the charge. So his dart and dash was of little importance, so midstep, he changed tactic. After dodging to the right with his initial plan, he instead springed forward using the coiled muscles in his leg. Rain had briefly flashed before this, but if one were watching this in slow motion, they would see him more or less glow as he was shifting his body weight midstep. It was in fact his built-in electricity, his reservoir for the day thus far untapped, flowing freely with his natural life force, or chi. As he landed and sprung forward, he would shower the surrounding pavement of the street in a deluge of sparks. With his momentary boost in speed, he sprinted forward with unnaturally large stepping range of motion. He cleared the street seemingly as fast as his fastball. But in truth, he was moving faster. The 8-ball had not been a true fastball, having been larger than the standard baseball, and thus, his grip on it was not as secure. So it wasn't as fast as those recorded 100mph pitches, but it was still fairly up there, probably closer to 80-85 mph. And with it having a head start, Rain managed to catch up to it in an incredibly short span of time. Yes, he was that fast. As Kalis's swing would be making its way up, Rain would blur through the warrior's vision, and Kchain would feel the unnerving feeling of an extraordinarily fast body of mass passing by him in close proximity. Yes, he ran past Kchain, rather than at or towards him. Why? Because he had a train ball to catch. With a final step a few feet past the two of them, Rain's right arm had been making its way up, snagging the item from mid-air, pausing momentarily to allow for the cesation of momentum. It wasn't a catch to try to stop it's path entirely so he can keep the Magic 8-ball secure. No, he was cupping it in his hand, leaning far into his final step, before forcing his body to rebound back, spinning his upper body around and smashing the sphere into the right side of Kchain's skull. Not a regular blow, but a blow powered by rebound kinetic force along with his added strength, adding to the oomph. By this time, Kalis's sword would have traveled up enough where Rain's arm wouldn't be caught in the upswing, having passed through the shoulder blade already. If the bull rush itself had ended, the Magic 8-ball would have been brought around by Rain's right arm, and smashed into the face instead. "OUTLOOK NOT SO GOOD, MOTHER ********>

Kchain turned his head just enough for the ball to crash into the side of his forehead, past the temple. The ball, predictably, smashed, coating his head in the solution. He stumbled backwards, and consequently didn't follow through with his stab, perhaps only cutting Kalis a few inches deep. Nothing major, in any case.
"Ouch."
Now, Kchain was out of their immediate range, Kalis was probably a little injured and next to Rain.

When the man stumbled, the tackle Kalis followed through into even as the sword opened his side did the obvious to a man backing up- it sent him stumbling about even quicker backward. Kalis started the upward swing, but stalled it as the shooter reeled away from the multiple impacts. Instead, he held his sword upward in front of him, one hand on the blade and a second hovering nearby.
Instead of pursuing immediately, he shot a look back around for Owle and Rain. The girl seemed unharmed, as he spotted the black cat. Otherwise, Rain seemed generally unharmed, but...
Before the man moved forward again, he started sidestepping, putting space between himself and Rain. Obviously, he was moving to make it more difficult for the man to handle the two of them at once, but at the same time, he didn't force his hand, not yet. He wouldn't mind taking off that gun hand so he wouldn't have to worry about bullets for whatever they were going to do here, but he also didn't see any need to harm the man more than he needed to keep them safe.
Which left, what?
Rain was pissed as he was, but Kalis as soon as the contact had broken Kalis had fallen back to cool headedness, watching the situation. If the larger man attacked though, he'd have to back him up. He couldn't help but wonder, with a great deal of irritation though,
"What the hell is this about?"
Then again, he did know something had been attacking Barton. He just thought Owle had said it'd be zombies or robots. Or some other crazy s**t that wasn't supposed to come out of sci-fi movies.
Not that much seemed to stay put anymore.

As she watched the bullets richochet off Kalis's field, there was only one thought in Owle's mind.
Ahh! Bullets! Heading this way!
And the black cat became a ball of scales again, until the bullets were safely past.
Then the shapeshifter resumed her feline form, saw the standstill and started slinking. Quickly, quietly slinking with a cat's grace underneath the nearby car, figuring it was good enough cover for bullets should any come her way. While Kalis was talking, she began moving towards the back of it, wanting to emerge somewhere behind Kchain.
What she would do from there, she didn't know, but she'd be in an advantageous position to do something.

Since Rain was using the kinetic force of rebounding from his catch to smash the Magic 8-ball against Kchain's head, he had a bit of countermomentum going. He had been balanced on one foot to do this, so as he turned into the swing, he would lean to his left and downward as his right hand followed through.
A magic 8-ball typically weighs more than a baseball, but due to its build, was indeed much easier to shatter. Hitting someone with a baseball in your hand would do neither any good; but due to the hollow-ness of the toy, most of the force of the impact would be against Kchain's skull, very little against Rain's hand. The bandage he wore around his palm prevented any shards from burying deep inside, but blood began to leak through as a previous wound reopened from the force of the impact.
As the ball shattered, Rain's hand kept going, keeping the splatter of solution contained. Though, as a liquid, it would probably leak down very quickly into Kchain's right eye in a few seconds. However, the more pressing issue would be Rain's grip on the man's skull, and the force of the concussion and its follow-through would probably take Kchain right off his feet. He was stumbling from the blow, so he would hardly be in a position to be surefooted. Rain leaned all the way in, planting a steady foot in as his upper body would fall with Kchain's head, smashing his head against the concrete sidewalk and pinning it there.
Being on Kchain's right side, he would keep his left hand available to handle the sword if it came after him post-slam. He probably wouldn't have the time to turn the blade from Kalis to Rain until after the impact, just as Rain wouldn't have the capacity to counter it until afterwards as well, both bodies coming to rest at the same time.
