Soemtimes you need to step back..... Her steal attempt right before the shot was taken was a fail and it didn't even seem to phase the young hufflepuff. In fact it possibly worked in the opposite, causing Jasmine to miss the ball. The blonde groaned again. The last game was violent but this one was just coming out bad. Once Vanessa caught the ball the keeper had passed towards her, she started speeding towards the goals. She wasn't planning on letting them get too far ahead.

The rushing wind in her ears calmed her thoughts, quelled her hearts greatest worry; failure. She stiffened her lip, she couldn't think of such, especially not in the middle of a game. So far, she hadn't caught a wisp of the elusive snitch, and as she tossed a second long look to her boyfriend across the field, he didn't seem to have it either. With the furrow of her brow, Belle dived back into focus, not a distraction filtered her mind as she sought out the tiny golden ball with wings.

Soemtimes you need to step back..... The little first year seemed to have no problem keeping up with her speed, though it wasn't hard since she didn't exactly have one of the newest brooms. She pulled her broom upwards wondering if height would make a difference like it had seemed to in the last match. Vanessa sighed and adjusted her grip as she straightened out from her climb. Her green eyes survayed the area to try and find the other slytherin chasers. She could really use help at the moment.

Dominic uttered an agitated sigh as his last shot missed, again. He was having an off game, he rationalized, but he had no idea why. Last game, he hadn't had a problem firing off round after round until everyone was battered and bruised, him included. He shook his head, thrashing his thoughts away as he finally took to notice the opposing chaser rounding up on Vanessa's free side. His eyes widened for a split second, he hadn't seen where the boy had come from at all. Ripping back on the handle to an abrupt stop, he spotted a bludger rocketing towards him. Steadying his bat, he swung his arm behind his head and powered forward aiming for Dhylan this time.

Soemtimes you need to step back..... In response to the younger male's attempt to steal by retreating towards her from ahead, Vanessa decided to swoop downwards. The fifth year speed up once again trying to close the goals. The game couldn't go mirrored to their last game everyone hit with only one score and snitch caught. Not if she could help it.

Another miss marred his record, not that he kept count, in any case. At least he seemed to be throwing the chaser of his game, he mused, especially with the added complexity of Vanessa's evasive maneuvering. After he fell back in formation, he circled loosely, from left to the right of Vanessa's sides, hoping to make the gap for a steal even rarer.
Another rogue bludger caught his sights and he raced for it, diving down to the grass where it coursed from one end to the next. He ripped his arm back and prayed for a hit.

Soemtimes you need to step back..... Another steal attempt came, so she darted to the left away from him. the blonde took a breath then pulled up on to the natural playing level. She was close to the goals. She had to line up now or else she would be blocked. With a soft smile playing across her lips, Vanessa adjusted her grip on the quaffle. Half her attention on the hoops that were so close the other half on the field around her as was normal.
Finally the fifth year was getting back into her normal self. She wasn't sure why she was so out of it the start of this game but now was not the time for her to ponder that. Now she had to focus on getting the goal and proventing a steal. To do that, the upperclassmen had to shake her tail some how.

Dhyl squealed as he ducked down, and even then, he could feel the wind from the bludger. Fifth Year/ Slytherin Quidditch Captain/ Beater
Quidditch Pitch/ Game Vanessa was close to the goal again, but the first year chaser still persisted in pushing for the steal. Dominic was doing his best to keep the boy at bay but alone he would have a tough time. With that Ronyo moved from his circling around Vanessa and pushed off and out to come around to one of the bludgers coming his way. With a quick twist of his hips Ronyo spun and then stopped his rotating momentum as his bat made contact. The spinning force amplified his swing and sent the bludger out in an odd spinning motion that had it curving out and around heading for Dhylan once again. It was one of Ronyo’s harder shots to pull off and one he tried not to do often as it put him in a slightly dizzy state and the bludger had a less accurate style but would impact from an awkward angle. With the shot fired Ronyo hoped Dominic would bring on the heat he had from the last game and cause the opposing chaser pause. “Go Vanessa, it’s all you! We’ll take care of the chasers you focus on the shot!” Life: 1, 2, 3

Soemtimes you need to step back..... Out of the corner of her eye, Vanessa spotted Dominic darting back and forth behind her. Then he launched a bludger towards the guy trying to steal the quaffle. She then noticed Ronyo calling to her. Her voice would be drowned out by the crowd, so she didn't verbally reply but instead focused 100% of her attention onto the goal posts. She returned back towards the right so that she would line up with the hoops. Bracing herself on her broom she took another breath and launched the Quaffle towards the hoops.
