Xennified Neopopulus Xennified Neopopulus Bleeeh. Trying to download a 4 gig game at 12.8 KB/S. I hate satellite internet. Wow, that sucks. I thought satellite internet was supposed to be really good. o.o I usually get 600kb/s but sometimes my computer decides it doesn't want to connect to the internet any more so I use my phone instead. Can't really download much on that though, not sure what speeds it gets but it's slow. Well, data has to take at least a 10 second round trip because of that whole speed of light thing. Then there's the horrid, 250 MB daily download limit I have on my plan. Not to mention that it's crazily expensive just for that. And it's all I can get out here because I live in the middle of nowhere. Half the reason I'm excited to go to college is that, for a few hours a day, I'll be able to actually use the internet. Ah yeah that makes sense. I guess that'd completely kill online gaming too, 20 second ping would be just insane. Yeah. I just wish that Obama had actually gone through with that "Fiber Optics for everyone!" policy he was thinking about.

It is not feasible for fiber optics in large countries. If you want fast internet you will have to move to a major city that already has the infrastructure.

But there should be some way to get high-speed internet everywhere that's actually use-able. I can go through 250 MB in an hour.

But there should be some way to get high-speed internet everywhere that's actually use-able. I can go through 250 MB in an hour. Haha I can go through 250Mb in less then a minute biggrin As for usability. Sure more lines could be run, but that would drive up the cost - or if it was subsidized then that would drive up taxes.

I've been getting so much motivation to do stuff lately, maybe by the end of summer I'll actually be able to draw the 999999999 characters I end up creating. xD

Not being productive, that's what. I should get my notebook out since there was something I wanted to try drawing. I'll probably fail but at least I'll have tried.
