I did go around raving like a maniac any time site integration was mentioned because I wanted it to be exactly like how this recipe is. And of course, I trashed the devs about alchemy like a mad maniac when it turned out it wasn't like I pictured it (and how they gave off the impression it would be).
Also, hat on top the fact I just kind of don't have anything else to do with the gold... Well, at least I can enter a race that isn't just "must get gold, must get gold, must get gold" where the finish line is set by a bunch of greedy assholes who can one day decide and tell me I'm half way there again.

I'm serious, I have a terrible marketplace experience with items I always wanted. They'd keep slowly trickling away out of my reach unless I stopped paying the attention.
Happened with embarrassed dreams, which is like, the epytome of what I always wanted out of a gaia item. When I finally got the 700k I needed at the time, it had a spike in price towards 900k 2 days prior. So I got some extra k's and it... blew to 1.1 million. I took my gold and bought demonic style and Nano-C instead. And anyone paying attention ought to notice I barely ever get rid of one of them.
Funny thing is the gold from Nano-C could probably buy an Embarrassed Dream for me now. But I for some reason, can't bring myself to sell it.
So I'll craft it. Just to give meaning to the item.
It'll take me a far larger time, and I'll have to give up both a Demonic Style and an Angelic Manner. It's a high price to pay considering how much I love both of them, but what matters to me is the path I'll have to take to get there. What matters is that for once, I bothered questing for an item in the strict sense of the word, doing different stuff, leveling to get there, the hard way, rather than playing Papa Saw over and over and over and over again until I despised the practice and everyone who did it.
