Aludra Yvette... Aludra couldnt help but to overhear the younger students conversing about dark magic. She listened intently and didnt want to speak, not matter how great the urge was. Dark Arts were always something that she had been interested in but didnt really get into. She had books and notes of some magic, but that was all locked away tight. "Dark magic is taboo because they are created for nothing more but harm and cheating death. Would you rather we teach unforgivable spells to you and have Cruciatus target practice on ickle firsties like you?" ...6th Year Slytherin

The silky voice of Alurda Yvette sounded from behind like a canon. It sent a shiver down his spine. "That would certainly get the point across." But he knew Alurda wasn't being serious. Probably. She was decent. The english definition of decent, not the american one. He was at least glad to know the answer on why it was taboo. He wouldn't mind knowing dark arts either. The more knowledge the better.
His eyes wandered to Dorian. So far some what shy, he was interested to know how he'd take it.

Yet another arrival. This classroom felt more like an airport with all the comings and goings. But wait a moment --- "Ah. You're Chibi, right?" Nam waved at her. "The teacher gave the instructions quite a while ago... I believe you're practicing rennervate?"
He got a bit closer to her and picked up a few of her stray belongings. Then he said in a quiet voice, "Callysto has missed you very much."

Nam paused. He leaned in to answer. "A bit." He gave her a significant look. "Wouldn't hurt to give some extra love next time you see her." He didn't want to elaborate too much. Callypto may not want that.
He cleared his throat and fiddled nervously with his personal effects. Then he pulled his wand out of his pocket. "You know, it's weird, she and I have very similar wands. Both 13 and 1/2 inch walnuts." This information was probably about as valuable as a pebble to any one else, but he felt it had some meaning.

"Yeah, it's pretty long. Mine's dragon heartstring. I believe hers is chimera scale. Whoa..." He looked down at her stuff. "Yours is really something!" He noted the fine detail. A lot of love went into that wand. It looked loaded for bear. "You didn't get that from Ollivander?"

"Hahaha! He kept you waiting for half an hour just so he could complain about some one else's wandwork, huh? Ah, such a proud old man. Either way, you're both prettier and more useful than that wand." He meant it as a compliment but it didn't sound like one. He wasted several minutes trying to think of a way to correct that. He gave up after a bit and figured if she wanted to slap him for it, she had his permission. She seemed too pleasant and smiley to do that though.
"I'm from the states too."

"I just came back from a stint in the States actually. The weather is much more temperate there." she commented before she lost her nerve. She had seen Chibi around before and thought she seemed like a friendly enough person.

Not where I'm from! It's wonderful in the summer, but it's really cold most of the time. Winters were terrible!
But the Witches Institute was nice. I think they charmed the weather into submission.
