Luke looked over to Edel and James. The boy was still huggling his grandmother, and looked over at Luke with a "^__^" expression.

"James? I think it's time to go home." Luke said gently. And James nodded before being let down by Edel, then hugging his future-parents and future-grandma.

"Bye Mommy! Bye Daddy! Bye Grandma!" he said happily.

"Alright." Edel replied, leading the two boys out of the room. "Lets get you two back to where you belong. I'm sure you'll have something to talk about once you both get home, won't you?"

Adon chuckled nervously as he followed her out, taking one last, almost concerned look back at Luke and Alex before disappearing out the doorway.

"Yup!" James said as he followed his future-grandma and his brother out the doorway. Luke, meanwhile, had a huge grin on his face and looked to Alex.

"Wow..." was all he said.

"So..." Edel said quietly to Adon as they walked to the back rooms. "I assume everything...."goes well?" she asked.

Adon looked up at her for a beat. If anyone "knew"....it would probably be Grandma Edel. "....you mean as far as what's going on now? With us it did. I don't remember exactly how Dad found out....but he helped make everything better."

"Ah...well then, I'll see to it that things work out for the best." She replied.

Alex, meanwhile, was just staring at the doorway where the children had disappeared through. She....had kids. With Luke. More surprising she had KIDS. With her childhood, history, and personality, she figured she never would have kids.

But...that little boy.... he was so sweet. And he honestly seemed to love her. So...maybe... she wouldn't be so bad of a mother in the future...

She was so wrapped up in her own thoughts that she didn't hear or see Luke looking at her. She just stood there staring at the doorway with her arms crossed.

James blinked as he looked up at his grandma. "Huh?" he asked, not seeming to get what was going on.

Luke, meanwhile, figured Alex was pretty deep in thought, so he just let her have her space.

Edel turned her attention down towards James and smiled at him. With her level of magic...she was able to tell that the two boys were different the moment she walked into the room with them.

James was clearly a mix of his parents. Luke's pure hearted nature, physical abilities, and Alex's pyrokinetic abilities. She could tell that the boy possessed some level of fire based magic and abilities. He was clearly Alex's son.

But Adon...he was a different matter. He only had a few physical likenesses to his father, and his physical abilities. Oh no...he had much more of his mother in him. Dark hair and eyes...skin slightly paler than normal....and a very "unique" dark magical aura surrounding him. An aura she knew of only a handful of beings possessing. The Fates being one of them. More specifically...

"It's alright, James. We were just referring to what happened with Adon's side of the family during this time."

After a few long moments, Alex finally moved. Her weight shifted onto her other leg, and she awkwardly glanced over at Lucas. She....still wasn't sure if he was right for her. Er....rather.... that *she* was right for him. Not with her history and personality. But...if they had children in at least some reality...

Suddenly, there was a bright, blinding flash of green light. A deafening blast of sound followed soon after, knocking anything within a close proximity to the ground. Walls were cracked, glass was shattered, furniture was knocked across the room...
When it cleared, several members of the house were gone.

Edel
Location: The hallway of her home.
Company: Herself.
Status: Feeling.... odd...

// Everyone that was left in the house is now forcefully ejected from the house and sent to... wherever. The thread was dead when I removed my characters, and no one has moved any of their other characters. So I'm shoving them out now too. //

The Sorceress stood in the middle of her well decorated hallway. Green wisps of smoke trailing up her violet dress as she stood there. When she opened her eyes, there was a soft green glow along the outer edges of her black irises. After a moment, the glow faded, and she sighed contently. Leaning her head down, she cracked her neck and brushed her long black ringlets off of her shoulders. She felt... odd. The good sort of odd though. She felt as though she'd been re-energized. Invigorated. Better than she had felt in years.

She wasn't sure why though. Nor was she sure why she couldn't quite... remember what she had been doing. Couldn't remember what had happened today. She felt as though something big was supposed to have happened. Or... was happening. Did she have company? She felt as though she should have had an exhausting amount.

Perhaps that was it. Perhaps she had just had a large amount of orders to fill, and had just re-energized herself. That seemed the most likely.

Still... something felt... different. An odd sort of sensation.

There was a small disturbance on the edge of the property. Something magical was here uninvited, but it was something very small and very young. A dog sized dragon hatchling. Halo looked around as he walked slowly. He had to be careful because he was still young enough to trip over his own feet, and he still did so on occasion, no matter how hard he tried to avoid doing so. His body was without markings, and his skin was like that of an albino human: smooth and ghostly white. He looked around with curiosity, exploring carefully. But his inexperience was as obvious as his youth. An older wiser deed dragon would have stayed out of sight.

Edel didn't have long to contemplate why she was feeling so odd. The magic surrounding her home began to react to something that was moving about within it's field. Something non-human. Something Edel always took priority in investigating before the uninvited guest came too close to the house.

The fact that neither she nor the magic surrounding her house recognized the magical signature that was creeping closer... only made Edel more alarmed.

Quickly, the woman stood from her seat and towards the front door of her shop. She allowed a bit of her magic to flow from her, letting whatever was outside know that they were about to be approached if they were able to sense more than a human could. She did not want to surprise this creature... not knowing what it was or what it could do. Then she opened the door and walked straight towards the source of the problem.

Then stopped. Dead in her tracks when she seen what could have only been an infant stumbling around in the open. One with alarmingly pale skin and unusual colored eyes. From where she was standing, she hadn't notice anything else that was physically different about the child yet. She was however confused and slightly alarmed that something so young was just out and about utterly alone.

Little Halo walked along and as he did so he felt some kind of magic, but he was too young to comprehend or understand its meaning. All it told him, thanks to his inexperience, was that this was a place of magic. He continued his advance further onto the property and after a moment he saw a human in purple. He stopped as he noticed her and noticed that she was looking right at him. after a moment of looking at her, he decided to walk righ toward her. He stumbled as he tripped over his own feet once, but he tried his best to stay graceful, a difficult task for any hatchling, expecially for a male. As he moved toward her a small patch of his skin on his right shoulder began to glow with a red light as his deed was recorded. A small runic mark appeared on his skin, the mark red in color, and then the light faded. Halo took no notice of the mark or of its etching into his skin.

"Hello!" Halo said excitedly as he neared her. "My name is Halo!"

Edel watched in amazement as the child made it's way towards her. An emotion she rarely had given her five-hundred-plus years of experience studying magic and rare creatures. This... this was something she had never come across before. The ever eager to learn portion of her wanted to study this creature. The part of her that was overly maternal and had raised infants for years now, on the other hand, wanted to scoop the child up and bring it inside that minute to make sure it was alright.

As the marking was made on the child's shoulder, the studious portion of the woman took over again for a moment. Something she had seen once or twice, but... not for something like this. Not for an infant, and he certainly wasn't preforming magic on himself or creating a curse.

And then he spoke. Full, unbroken English. Something else she had never seen in an infant.

"I... Hello." she greeted, trying to shake her surprise. Not doing very well at doing so. "M-my name is Edel. What are you doing out here, Halo? You're not alone, are you?" she asked. She was honestly hoping he wasn't. She wasn't sure how horrified she'd feel if he was on his own. Stumbling around like this... seemingly so eager to walk up to strangers... and with her home being so close to the streets of New York? Oh, no. No, no. She wouldn't stand for him being on his own out here.

Halo continued his trot toward her and when he reached her he stopped and looked up at her. He had managed to not trip at all after his first marking had been made. He answered, "Nice to meet you miss Edel. I am alone. My Great Grandfather and teacher: Seraph died recently. My mother Heart and my father Hope were killed before I could hatch. I never knew them because according to Grandfather Seraph they were caught in a falling human structure..." The hatchling showed no sign of sadness, except when he had mentioned his grandfather had died. He clearly never knew his parents, he knew of them, but he'd never even heard his mother's heartbeat. He was truly alone, no family left.

It was at that point the overly-maternal portion of Edel completely knocked the studious portion out of the picture completely. "Oh, goddess..." she sighed shakily, bending down so that she was more on Halo's level. "How.. how long ago did your grandfather pass away? How long and how far have you been walking along?" she asked. If it were nearby, perhaps she could go back and see if there was anything she could do. See if there was anything she could collect or... or bring the grandfather back or give him a proper burial at least. After she took this child inside.

"Grandfather Seraph died today. His lair was in a human made tunnel. A side tunnel off a larger tunnel iron snakes with glowing eyes move through. Iron snakes that transport humans from place to place. Grandfather's lair was on other side of the city..." Then he looked toward the sky and said, "I've been walking since early this morning. It was still dark and the air cool when I reached the surface..."

Then he looked at her and a scent caught caught in his nose. He sniffed the air and moved to stand between her and her own house. He stood there as tall as he could without rearing up on his hind legs. He opened his underdeveloped wings and held them open with their undersides facing the house. And he slapped the ground with the tip of his tail. He was being protective of Edel. He could smell something dangerous in that house. He could smell another dragon.

It must have looked cute, but little halo was serious. He would protect miss Edel from the other dragon if he had to. Of course, he had chosen to spread his wings in a threat display, slap the ground with his tail as a threat display, and he'd tried to make himself look as big as possible in order to appear dangerous enough to deter the older dragon he could smell.

These actions were soon recorded as four new red runic markings were etched into his skin by a red light near the first marking. He still took no notice of the markings.
