Omega: Catalina - Why don't men listen?

User Image
"At least you're a cute sack of potatoes," she said with an amused grin up at him, Jack's peck on her lips making her smile. He finally put their hands to rest, laying them over his heart. Their hands, intertwined together, caught her attention, her head never leaving his shoulder as she looked at them, resting on his bare chest. For some reason it drew her attention so strongly that she almost entirely missed him speaking to her again. Seconds later she caught his voice, the redhead turning her gaze up to his face once more, blushing slightly when she realized he was staring at her again.

"Hmm? Oh, later. Well, I don't really have any plans…you've seen how my ability to make plans has turned out," she said with a slightly chuckle, nuzzling his shoulder with her head as she stifled a yawn. Jack mentioned something about a nap - that didn't sound too bad. Her eyes closed of their own accord, the feeling of his heart beating underneath her hand rhythmic, albeit a little frantic. She felt him pull her closer to him, her body curling into his ever so slightly to eliminate whatever inches of space were between them. Her mind was starting to wonder, just hitting that happy moment before sleep took over, when she felt a finger poke at her stomach. Instantly, her eyes snapped open, finding him just as he started to prod another area.

"What are you doi-AHHA!" It was involuntary. She let out a completely uncharacteristic squeal, squirming under his touch, which of course would have to be interpreted by the male brain as an invitation to continue tickling her - that stupid male brain. There was nothing she could do but laugh as he started tickling her, the redhead trying to throw her body away from him with little luck, considering how close they had been moments before. Her hands tried to grab ahold of him anywhere she could, hoping to get some sort of leverage. Problem was, she was laughing, thrashing about and yelling "stop" so much that her focus wouldn't let her get a good enough grip. However, the longer the tickling went on, the less amused she was, mostly likely the effects of KillJoy starting to wear off.

"No, seriously-," she managed to choke out through a laugh, one particularly powerful flail causing her elbow to connect with Jack's nose. The moment she hit him, she felt a little bad about it, though KillJoy-affected Kerri would be more mortified than she felt at the moment. After all, she told him to stop…

She inwardly nodded when Gideon sent back his response… He felt far more possessive than he usually did. More of the...animal was alive and well in him. At least, that she could remember. Who was she to really judge though, when earlier she couldn’t really remember him… Just that the sound of his heartbeat made her head spin and her body hum. It sounded ridiculous enough…But it was true. Her thin form rest delicately in the crook of Gideon’s side, not hanging all over one another—It was simple nearness that calmed her.

Unknowingly that feeling of contentment calmed the randomness of the KILLJOY, just slightly. Though instead of feeling ecstatic and jumpy like she had earlier, she was starting to feel tired… Like she had done a week long binger on nothing but alcohol and caffeine pills. Even the warm salt water couldn’t help the aches that were slowly coming into her… Also, unknowingly, this was a result of the KILLJOY starting to wear off…It was an effect everyone would soon feel no matter how long they’d been exposed. It was timed to correlate perfectly with the amount left in the air, so that eventually the infected parties would want to rest around the same time, give or take.

The only ones that may prove less affected would be healers, or those who had some kind of resistance to foreign intrusions. Still… The sun was starting to go down. Sleep wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing.

They also might start to notice how wrecked and in disrepair the once lovely condo now was…The kitchen looked like a warzone had pulled through, various holes in walls, cables ripped out of ceilings, some rooms without electricity, barely any food in the fridge, chunks of sand turned to glass, thick cracks in walls, windows broken out…

It really was an awful mess.

She gracefully danced over the fact that it sounded like Dimitri had been trying to ask her out… A, she wasn’t sure if it wasn’t just her cloudy head lately… B, Bella didn’t want to put him or Gideon on the spot like that.

“Logan isn’t always like that…”, Isabella defended, immediately feeling the need to stand up for one of her mentors… And then her thoughts turned to the fact that Gideon was made from a piece of Wolverine—And as always she felt heat rise to her cheeks. It was out of embarrassment, because the first thing she’d thought when she’d been told was that if she loved Gideon, she must be in love with Wolverine too… And that was just too weird for words. “But yeah…Just like that… Except I’ve never heard Gid say ‘Bub’.”

Bella beamed when Dimitri mentioned his power, her face lighting up with her usual dazzling smile. “Magma is pretty cool… I can’t wait to see it in the danger room… Ooo… Maybe we could all play mutant ball or capture the flag again sometime…”

She fairly bounced on the balls of her toes—Considering her team had won the last time they’d played a game like that.

Though she stiffened at the mention of Cissa, a frown crossing her lovely features.

Narcissa was one of her least favorite people—What with the way she kept running the Alpha’s down all the time. Especially when ninety percent of it wasn’t even true…People just seemed to believe whatever came out of her mouth without question. And here, Bella had thought her voice was persuasive.

“No—Thank Dios she’s not an Alpha. She’s the Omega leader…”, Bella suppressed a shudder. She always had felt bad for the former Omega leader. Giving orders to Narcissa must have been like sticking his hand into a hungry lion’s mouth, covered in fried bacon, and expecting it not to bite it off. “And it would be in your best interest to try and stay on her decent side… similar power or not…”

Even infected with KILLJOY, there were something’s that were permanently etched into her memory. One, was the sound of Gideon’s heartbeat. Two, her Alpha’s… Three, the danger that was Narcissa, to her Alpha’s. There was no one she had ever met, save Emma and a handful of the senior X-Men, who could drop the nasty blond before she caused some serious damage…

Bella felt her tummy grumble, and she giggled softly—Embarrassed by the sound. “I guess that means I’m hungry… I’m not sure what’s left in the house, but we should check it out.”

“And I’ll find you some clothes…”
, she stated with a smile to Dimitri, leaving the safety of Gideon’s embrace to wade past them in the water. That is, before she turned around and threw her arms down, sending a concussive sonic wave into the water. It threw up a massive spray of water in the air, aimed in their direction as she took off towards the condo.

She saw Bianca standing near a dark haired male she wasn't familiar with and laughed-- Waving.

Narcissa felt something akin to distaste run through her. The last person she had seen, actually felt, her supposed lover with, had finally decided to make an appearance. The golden haired girl still wasn’t sure if she should hold his absence over Evelyn’s head or not… Or if she should simply damn them both. She was leaning towards the later. Truth be told, there was probably a lot more to the story than she could properly recall… But at the moment, she regarded Thorne as Eve, tempting Adam.

Of course, she conveniently forwent the thought of the snake.

An absent boyfriend, was a guilty one. And Evelyn loved a challenge…Loved a game, loved a prank, just as much as she did. She was always guilty of something.

And Narcissa was beyond asking questions—Simply coming to her own conclusions.

“Call me Goldie, or anything of the sort and I’ll repeat the kitchen drama, and blast your bloody face in. Then I’ll watch it heal—Rinse, and repeat.”, the sun goddess returned without skipping a beat, her voice calm, except for a razor sharp lining. It almost could have been taken for teasing…Except that it wasn’t. When someone took something from Narcissa, like a petty little thief… There was nothing left but fire and ice.

Her sweet smile turned to Aren, though her eyes were closed for a moment. She was swallowing the light, the irrational anger. She reasoned… That she didn’t know what exactly happened. That she didn’t care what happened—That she couldn’t read either of their energies like an open books. That she hadn’t been up all night, talking to Gideon,—Her mind elsewhere.

When she opened them, they were normal—And she tossed her liquid gold hair over her shoulder in an act of carelessness, knowing that her hair was near breathtaking, distracting when it moved just so. The light caught it, and it gleamed like something silvery ran through it.“Listen closely Aren, love--- This is one of those people you can beat the hell out of for a good time. They get wasted, and they heal off damage just as fast as the alcohol. No harm, no foul.”

Her eyes followed Dominick when he walked out of the kitchen… They’d barely gotten the chance to speak. The sun goddess would rectify that at some point, soon.

Hold the phone-- Was it cannibalism for Jacen to eat Tuna?

“Don’t worry Thorne… I haven’t killed anyone yet. Yet. And if spiders and drugs are the worst someone can do? Bring it on…”, she trailed off, shrugging faintly as she let her fingers walk up Aren’s arm—Close as he was. He seemed distracted by Evie’s ink… And she enjoyed undivided attention… Though she could rarely return the favor. She remembered a time contemplating getting tattoo’s herself. Until she realized the ink would probably burn out of her skin... What a waste that would be.

“Coffee is disgusting too. Tea wins, hands down.”, Narcissa added in, snickering faintly about the new boy’s whiskey comment. Truthfully…If the sun goddess could get drunk… She would carry around a diamond encrusted flask. If anyone was looking for an explanation, she shrugged elegantly and gestured towards herself. “British. God save the Queen.”

“And you are entitled to punishment … As your Mistress, I shall decide when, and on what form I see fit. Sometimes the wait is punishment in itself—So don’t be too eager.”
, she teased back to Aren, not really minding his spirit. He could hold his own with her sense of humor, which was a nice change of pace—And not push his own agenda so hard that it just pissed her off. Though now, she would have to think of something awful to do to him—Without being so awful that he wouldn’t enjoy part of it. After all, she didn’t actually hurt her Omega’s.

Not against their will.

She was glad…Actually feeling a sense of gladness, that she had managed to make someone laugh. That she had done something other than kill… It seemed like it had been forever since something like that had happened. What was it, about the remainder of the demon in her head that vexed her… That would never leave her. That made her take a small amount of pleasure in simply…Existing. Of being in control of herself.

“You can hold me to whatever you like… A promise is a promise… It’ll be perfectly hidden.”, she returned, letting her fingertips slide down his arm, heating just over the pulse on the underside of his wrist—A minuscule touch that drew a coquettish smile to her perfect lips. Aren was still playing a dangerous game… And she was quite sure he knew it. Though her mark would eventually be with him, this brand, it was metaphorical…But he certainly didn’t have to know that. All Omega’s had it, even if they didn’t acknowledge it…The day they didn’t, was the day they were Alpha. Some things were deeper than ink, than a branding iron, than physical changes…

Would he be disappointed when he found out she didn't brand her name into his left buttocks like a piece of USDA steak? Perhaps... But all disappointments could be smoothed over with the right touch. Or several of them.

“And don’t worry…Blind or otherwise, Aren—You’ll always be able to see me.”

Alpha: Dog Day Afternoon

Evie let Narcissa's words roll off her back. Nothing from this day was worth carrying forward because it was unknown where the lines of truth and the lines of being drugged lay. She tended to believe that even when drunk most people were prone to behave in ways they wouldn't in their right sense; however, most actions were also something that the person wanted to do deep down.

If Cissa had a new found problem with her, that would come out. Before Evie had left the Institute for a time, Cissa was a friend. They hadn't spoken since her return more than the words Evie had spoken to her in Limbo. Things would play out as they would, but Evie wasn't about to buy into anything on this day.

She smirked at Cissa's pointed comments at her and responded rather as her mood dictated: It didn't bother her. "Now, Narcissa, you might be able to torch me, but landing a punch on me is another story all together. Not worried about spiders and drugs since they're a lame way to get to us... but I can guarantee the question of why is going to eat at everybody's mind once the effects wear off. As far as the other matter goes, unlike Bells, I'm not worried about you killing anybody. I'm more concerned about the other team members."

Picking up her bottle and tipping it towards them as a wave goodbye, "Good to meet you, Aren, welcome to the X-Men."

Evie walked out the door with a yawn to make rounds of the floors. She really wanted to be sure there are no injuries by the time this drug wore out. If she was the only one who was out of this, then it was her responsibility to make sure that they got through it safe. There was never any rest from being an X-Man. That she knew and she was okay with it.

Bianca looked on as Dominik gave a slight chuckle at her words on his smoking as he didn't seem to really mind at all. Perhaps he had heard the question and people telling him about his smoking many times before. At his question Bianca shrugged since she supposed it was true for the most part.
"I guess. It is what makes us who we are though as well. If somebody can't love us for all our good habits as well as bad habits then perhaps it is not meant to be? Right?" That was the way Bianca viewed it at least. As Dominik waved off her statement on his smoking saying it was fine she noticed he blew the smoke away from her something she was thankful for. Cigarette smoke was not something she enjoyed not to mention it was supposed to be pretty harmful to breath in. "At least you are thoughtful with your smoking. That has to say something right?"

Giving him a smile she nodded at his introduction of himself enjoying their conversation. "I know I heard you in the kitchen. A pleasure to make your acquaintance Dominik." Bianca briefly wondered if he was perhaps new. He didn't seem as comfortable as some of the others though that could have been just her imagination. She certainly didn't feel completely comfortable yet unless Bella was involved. Perhaps Gideon as well considering despite initial doubt he seemed to be quite nice actually. The words he offered in the kitchen gave her the impression he would tell anybody off for giving her a problem though it could have just been her imagination. Bella simply being near her made Bianca feel at home though really why was a mystery. Looking the man over for the first time really she supposed he looked what most would consider cute. She herself had never really looked at guys or girls very much in that aspect until now.

By her standards at the moment though he was cute as well which may have brought an almost unnoticeable amount of pink to her cheeks. Hearing his question however brought her out of her daze and to gaze out at the three by the water with a renewed smile.
"Well to be honest I was just assigned to a team today so I am not entirely sure. Yet Bella the woman is wonderful in every aspect of the word and incredibly beautiful yes? We are friends I would say." Though at the moment Bianca wished for a little more she would have to be blind not to see Bella and Gideon were together. "Gideon the uh man beside Bella is nice though perhaps a little bit less so than Bella. He was kind to me at least so I would like to say yes to him as well. The other guy uh I can't remember what he said his name was as he just arrived right before I went to get something to eat. We aren't friends though I was only around him for a moment or two."

Suddenly remembering her apple in her hand she took another small bit smiling at Dominik as she watched him smoke. He was nice to talk to for some reason even if he didn't say much which was fine with her. Being the silent type suited him just fine in her opinion. Some people could just pull it off and he certainly could. "How about you any friends? Sorry if I am talking a little too much for your taste. Just trying to get to know people is all." Having forgotten about the beach for the moment she waited patiently for his answer taking in his appearance again for a moment or two. Then a laugh drifted towards her that made her heart and stomach do a little back flip. Turning towards the beach she smiled sweetly at the approaching Bella giving her own small wave. Perhaps she could introduce her leader to Dominik? Get her first impression of the man.

Turning back to Dominik Bianca kept her sweet smile as always though it didn't seem to reach her eyes very well. Her eyes was always the one thing about her that seemed devoid of things most notably being light. It was almost always the first thing people noticed about her.
"You want to meet Bella? She is coming towards the house for some reason or another." Taking another bite of the apple she made it a little larger after realizing if she kept taking tiny bites it would take forever to eat it. Then came the yawn which shocked her into realizing how tired she seemed all of a sudden. Putting her hand over her mouth she looked to the side noticing a bench and had a seat.

"Sorry just feel really tired all of a sudden for some reason. Want to join me? Kind of hard to talk to someone when they aren't looking you in the eye." Patting the bench beside her she waited to see if he would accept. The action was not meant in anyway to be a romantic thing as she had seen it used that way in some movies. Though she was definitely very tired for some reason. Travel could do that to her though. It would still be possible to introduce him to Bella if he wanted given that the bench wasn't that far from the stairs. Either way she didn't want her surprising fatigue to stop her from continuing the conversation she was enjoying. Not to mention there didn't seem to be any pressure with the conversation which reminded her of her conversation with Bella. It was just an easy and enjoyable thing. Even with the man's silence. Perhaps they could be good friends.

"I don't know about rich, but my parents worked really hard, so it works out in the end. I mean, the cost of living is so much higher out there, so people have to make more money to have the same standard of living as more middle-class people here," she explained, hoping it didn't come off as an underhanded comment. She never really thought of her life with the McEwans as a rich one, at least not monetarily, but they made sure she and Katie were taken care of in terms of education and expenses. Raine listened as Billy explained his life, her smile brightening as he mentioned cobbler.

"You know, I might have spent most of my life in the Midwest, but I know about cobbler. I got my mom's recipe box after she died, and there was a recipe in there that will knock your socks off," she said with a laugh, walking forward to catch up to him walking down the stairs. He looked at her, asking if they were going to the beach, the brunette nodding her head. She was secretly glad that he decided to come with her - with Sophie and Christian doing their own things, she didn't really feel like being alone at the moment. Besides, it was always in her nature to be nice to the newcomers and make sure they knew where to go. Her involvement with school organizations and functions necessitated a helpful reputation - she was the girl to talk to.

"Glad you made the right choice," she said with a chuckle, falling into step next to him as they headed towards the entrance of the condo and to the beach beyond. They chatted idly about their lives, comparing stories, the firefly speaking where appropriate and listening when it was better for her not to say anything. Before they hit the sand, she slipped her shoes off, holding them in her hand as they set out. She placed him between herself and the water, subconsciously, that way he could get wet if he wanted to, and she could retreat from the approaching waves if they got too close for comfort. This aspect of her power always made her a little sad - she missed the water.

"So, super speed, huh? Seems pretty cool," she said with a glance in his direction, interested in learning more about how his power worked. Other people's powers fascinated her, mostly because she liked to compare her own gift to theirs. It seemed that their powers were the same as everything else - you always want what you can't have.

A smile furrowed at the bite to Cissa's voice as she spoke to Evie. She was cold to the other woman, the strings of disdain marking clearly her feelings on the girl. Funny, that one little blonde remark had her on edge, he'd been calling her dawn, sunlight, blondie, and she seemed to shrug them off as nothing, just a quirk to his personality.

But as much of a seething tone had laced her words, it seemed to melt when the sun goddess turned to face Aren. Once again, he couldn't help but feel special. She flippantly tossed a curtain of gold locks over her shoulder, and took a moment for him to refocus, something like, "ooh, sparkly" running rampant through his mind. Attention problems much? When she invited him to beat the hell out of the tattooed lady, Aren couldn't help the shake of his head, as though he were taking it to be some very harsh joke. Though, a small part of him heard the notes of sincerity in her voice. "Unless you're a copycat b***h, I don't think I'll be so inclined to hit a woman." Though, by the looks of how much ink she had permanently stained into her flesh, she might enjoy a little roughing up. He'd not be the one to administer that type of play, he was sure.

The warmth of her touch as her fingers tiptoed up his arm was distracting, moreso than the light catching her hair, far more so than Evie's ink. Aren shrugged once again, not having a preference to the choice in drinks. "We mostly drink juice on the rez... but tea is often a common thing for afternoons." The native remarked absently, his mouth watering at the memories of strawberry juiced drinks. A laugh erupted from the size shifter's chest as Cissa made the stereotypical remark about the queen. "All for tea, eh? Though the origins of that accent are lucid now." Figuring Cissa out was like a brand new puzzle; Aren couldn't wait to see the finished product. But for now, he was still, like most he assumed, working on the edges.

"Aww... you'd have to have something really amazing at the end of that wait to make up for it." He stated, flashing one of his best smiles, this one suave, what many girls might consider savory and altogether flirtatious.

Not that Cissa had given him any sign that she wanted him to back off, and what with the funky feelings that were intermittent through the day. And what with her being so familiar with him, he took it as an invitation to continue, somewhat in a mock interest, somewhat in an actual one. "I think I shall make sure you live up to that promise, ki'sómma." The word "sun" just fit her perfectly; it was exactly what she reminded him of. "So long as," He struggled for the right phrase, one that would be ambiguous in meaning, and settled on a prediction of warmth. "áaksikinniiwa."

Evie left, and the hand that wasn't in contact with Cissa's trailing fingers waved an absent goodbye, and he lifted his chin up at her so that she'd not think him rude. "You too. I guess we'll be seeing each other around." After all, there were only two teams. It was a fifty percent chance that they were on the same one. And if not... the Alphas and Omegas often did assignments together, right?

His eyes fell to where Cissa's hand was trailing his skin, leaving the spots where she had let her fingers brush him with an evanescent heat. Call him vain, but part of him thought that Cissa was deliberately trying to maintain his focus; he was growing more special all the time. Kudos for him. "Careful with what you tease, though aapinákosi," His hand flipped rather rapidly in effort to gently encircle her slender wrist in unison to him leaning forward, his mouth close enough to her ear that, as he spoke, they'd just ever so lightly come in contact with her earlobe. "Or I might just become fond enough of you that you'll regret it, as I can be a very persistent personality when I get stuck on something."

He pulled back then, grinning like a school boy who had just gotten his first peek at his new school teacher. "Then my days on the team will be filled with waahkanaapinako (sunlight), if you'll always be so easy to spot."

Maybe being on the teams wasn't such a bad idea after all.

“Punching is idiotic— When its so much easier, and more efficient just to just light something up like a roman candle.”, Narcissa responded automatically to Thorne, the small smirk she wore unwavering. For some reason, today, she was very sure of herself. More sure of herself than she had been since coming back from Limbo. More like her normal self, actually. It unnerved her, to some degree. The joy of her power, was that she really didn’t need any skill, finesse, or aim—Though it was certainly wonderful that she did have those things. If she wanted something dead that badly enough… Though there might be a swath of destruction cut by her path, it would indeed be dead.

Or at least beyond recognition.

The sun goddess didn’t say anything else for a moment. She wanted to tell Evie what was on her mind… What bothered her. But it wasn’t something one could bring up in polite conversation… So she would settle, and leave it alone… Let it stew. For the time being. This wasn’t the KILLJOY just working its magic…Narcissa wasn’t actually affected as everyone else one. It made her calmer, kinder, but not insane. She already knew the answers. The absence. She just didn’t want them.

“FYI—You’re in the wrong line of work if you don’t want to hit a woman.”, she piped up, finding the comment amusing. She had a feeling he would make necessary exceptions…But half of the Omega’s were women, and he would be training with them. They would be fighting against women, and men—And god only knew what else. “We offer equal opportunity hitting. None of that sexist crap. If we’re sparring, and you don’t hit me when you get the opening… You’ll never set foot on the field.”

“And yes—All for tea. Not that bloody American pre-packaged tripe either…”
, she went on, the laugh that had erupted from him surprising to her. Maybe they really were drugged… She didn’t make people laugh. But Evelyn was at least partially wrong. Narcissa wouldn’t regret feeling like herself again—Even if it was drug induced.

Aren’s
suave smile made her pause. Was he actually flirting with her, or had her radar just flipped sideways. Nevertheless, she preferred to see it as a smile…An alluring one at that, and gave one of her own. It at the very least matched his in sensuality. “Are you saying that I’m not amazing enough?”

She let Aren say goodbye to Evelyn for the both of them… She didn’t know entirely what to say to her still. Actually—She did know what to say. It was whether she actually deserved it or not.

“I’m hurt…”
, she faux pouted, her cerulean eyes seeming to shimmer as her head tilted a little, the expression charming on her aristocratic features. Again, he called her things she didn’t understand… She was British, that meant that she spoke proper English. Not… Whatever it was that he was speaking. Even if she rather liked to hear him say it. She was almost apprehensive when he encircled her wrist however—Her body’s first instinct to fiercely counter it. Few had touched her since her return from Limbo… And she’d forgotten why she’d been the one to initiate it.

It was another face, a red one with horns that replaced the attractive size shifter, grabbing her wrist not gently—But nails digging into her flesh, throwing her against the armoire… The sun goddess blinked, her blank, pained face unseen by Aren, as he was currently murmuring things in her ear. With how close he was, it wouldn’t have mattered if he’s just said eggplant five times slow. The sound of his voice, feel of his breath still tickled her, and sent a shiver down her spine. “I keep my promises…”

“I should be careful?”
, she responded back to his words watching him pull back—Her eyes completely serious as they regarded him a little differently. Not cruel…Just careful. It seemed that neither of them would know where to draw the line. Usually, she moved between them…Blurring lines for her amusement. But somehow she doubted he did the same. “You’re the one playing with fire.”

Narcissa wanted to respond in kind to his repartee—Would have, except, what if Evelyn was right… What would this poor boy say tomorrow… That his newly met team leader took advantage of his drugged state? He didn’t strike her as that type of person… And she genuinely felt like she liked him. At least, as far as a team member went—Enjoyed his company. It was strange, usually she couldn’t stand newbie’s for at least a week.

“You’re persistent, and I’m bitchy…We’ll be perfect.”, Narcissa teased, seeming to let his move slide—Her mind setting off warning bells, signals, that anything more would be improper. Though since when had she ever cared about that? Certainly not now… But things seemed to be going well. She didn’t want to ruin it by acting out the scene that was running rather rampant in her head.

So she changed the subject.

“You keep calling me things. Saying words, I don’t know what they mean. They sound…pleasant. But so does kariola… And I’ve been called that before. It’s Greek, for a woman in the town that sleeps with every man except her husband.”, she explained, her head tilting almost curiously. He was still holding her wrist, and for the moment, she let him.

Narcissa felt a wave of tiredness sweep through her. It wasn't even very late...But suddenly she wanted to be in bed.

Odd, because Narcissa didn't often sleep.

User ImageGideon stayed near Bella just enjoying being near her. This up and down of things was certainly getting old. Like with the spiders earlier it was like one minute he was himself right mind and all. Then the next he wasn't and even then he didn't like it but most off he just didn't care when what ever it was happened. It was just strange and nonsensical. What could effect him like this his healing ability took care of any foreign things that attempted to invade his system. Hell it worked so well even intentionally ingested ones like alcohol were burnt off before he even got a buzz. Which is why he never understood why Logan drank like he did they needed to ingest gallons in very short period of time to have it really effect them. And that was of hard hard liquor not the beer that Logan drinks. Man must just like the taste since to him it would be as if drinking a soda for someone else. Why was he on this train of thought? Oh yeah thought of foreign substances and others talking of Logan.

He could feel Bella getting sleepy next to him. He wasn't overly tired would admit more then he normally would be at this time with the level of activity he had done. But then again he didn't sleep the night before so that could be it, even if he could go days on end with no sleep if he chose to. He listened to Dimitri make a comment about saber-tooth tigers and them being a better date the Cissa. But the boy was just going on others word about the omega leader. "Well I am sure if you ask McCoy nicely he would program you up a date with two saber-tooth tigers in the danger room if you really wanted. Candle light dinner under the stars and all." He said jokingly to Dimitri.

For some Cissa wasn't that bad. And Gideon was one of those people even if his girlfriend detested the blond. Something he still never really understands. Given Bella's nature and how she gets along with everyone mostly why is it that she and the omega leader just don't. He knew it was something from before either of them came to the academy and often wanted it to change between them. Or at least be nicer between them, heck he put up with Scott cause Bella asked him to, even though he has a perfect reason for hating the man. Not to mention if the two leaders did get along things would probably be better between the two teams. Gideon was one of the few that didn't judge those on the other team just by that fact no by there actions. He may be gruff and hard to deal with for many but the man was fair when giving folks a chance.

Then the sound of Bella's stomach growling was heard by Gideon and it in turn reminded him of his own lack of food consumed that day. "Food sounds great." He said with a smile. Then Bella slipped out of his embrace and moved toward the shore. As soon as she spun around to face the two still in the water Gideon saw that mischievous glint in her eye. She was showing off again. Bella used her powers to propel her to shore and in turn send water cascading at Gideon and Dimitri. If she wanted to show off then so could he. Shaking his head Gideon allowed himself to sink under the waves. As soon as he feet touched the sand of the bottom he kicked off quite hard. The force of his action sent him flying out of the water. And to show off more he did a double twisting flip landing perfectly on the shore. What was with him showing off? Really was not something he did so why all of a sudden. He wasn't even conscious of his actions as he gave a small bow towards the condo as he saw two people on the porch not to mention Bella was not far in front of him. Sure it was quite an impressive jump far beyond what anyone without enhanced abilities like himself could do. But it was still no jump like the Hulk. Maybe one day if his powers developed that far. Not that he thought they would ever but he certainly wouldn't complain if they did.

He easily closed the distance and caught up with Bella. "Oh I see why you were waving now." He saw Bianca was one of the ones on the porch normally he would of noticed that fact sooner. But some strange reason his senses were not as alert as usual. Maybe it was from his lack of being on edge encase something like the phantom spider attack happened. Oh well no worries nothing bad was happening at the moment. He turned back to the water to see if Dimitri had made it to the shore.

Omega: Chicken of the Sea

Jacen’s hand reached out before he himself was even aware Dominik had thrown it. Agility and stuff was kinda his shtick, Reflex was his middle name. Jacen ‘The Reflex’ Reilly. Like the song except better. He bit into the sandwich as it’s maker left the room, for which Jacen simply gave a wave good-bye, chewing as he sat on the counter.

Then Evie had to go- Whoa, when’d she get here? he started, having been completely oblivious to the black-haired ex-alpha leader’s entrance. She said something about drugs, which was utterly preposterous. “Why would someone drug us?” He asked, raising his eyebrows as she continued on. “That seems kinda far-fetched, doesn’t it?” he said, managing a yawn.

Continuing his scan of the room, he turned to Cissa and Aren playing flirty-flirtflirt with each other. He rolled his eyes, finishing his samich and bouncing of the counter, brushing his hands together. “Alrighty, you two love-birds have fun.” He said, moving around them and into the condo. It seemed quieter now, no doubt thanks to the lack of hallucinogenic spiders. He moved along the halls, coming upon an open door. “Hey Maddy, toa-vale” He said, in reference to Madison and Blair respectively. “What’s Kraken?” God he loved that pun.

Oh, and in answer to an Unspoken question of cannibalism, har-de-bloody-har.

Omega: Ramble On

Petra found herself doing more of what she had been doing all day. She was meandering around. Follow this butterfly. Follow this mutant. Get distracted with this pebble. Find something else to eat. Ramble on. Ramble on.

Tired.

Fatigue of the day started hitting her. She didn't think she had ever gone this long without talking to somebody... without having some type of connection even if she didn't speak their language well. Maybe the house, the kitchen, would have people she could connect with for a moment before going to sleep. Petra didn't really have her paranoia anymore about people taking the metal she coveted. She just wanted connection.

She passed by Cissa and just avoided looking at her. Avoided communication. She felt agitated near their leader for no reason. She didn't like being told to learn to speak English well or else. That didn't settle with her then and definitely didn't now. Yawning again, she moved up into the hallways she saw random teammates floating about.

She muttered towards Jacen, "Is anybody else tired? And does leader lady always look like she is going to eh... domainte the boys of the team? To tired to think of right words."

Alpha: All My Friends Say

Evie passed through the halls without a word to anybody. Her goal was to make sure everybody was accounted for and mostly alive. The complain of fatigue seemed to run rampant across all team members. She felt that this was probably a side effect of the drug. There seemed to be a lot of effects of this drug. Some folks were unhinged. Some distracted. Some like her wanted to eat and had their fears heightened.

Jacen's comment didn't fall on her ears deafly. When she passed by him later in the upper hallways she put a hand on his shoulder and laughed, "Jacen, I'd tell you we have a list of enemies that counts higher than the tattoos on my body but then folks may call me a doomspeaker. Instead I'll tell you that you have the best code name for puns ever."

Carry on people. Carry on. Evie yawned, nodded to the newly arrived Petra, and walked back towards the lower level of the condo. Heading back out onto the porch, she looked at the crew near the waters and only shook her head at Gideon showing off. There were things afoot at the Circle K for sure.

"Gideon, you better watch out before your hurt yourself showing off the goods like that." She folded her arms and smirked knowing that he would never stop slight showing off to a degree nor would he hurt himself. It was like telling her to not pull any stunts. They both knew that would never happen. But ragging on Gideon was like teasing the brother she didn't have. It was their nature and probably always would be.

Alpha - Nighty Night

Jack was simply entranced by the reaction of what he was doing. So he kept doing it. He was beginning to get more and more tired, but this was keeping him awake. Despite her protest he couldn't help himself, he never thought a tough as nails military brat like her could be ticklish. All fun and games until someone gets hurt, or nearly. He was doing a good job of weaving from her flailing but dodging wasn't something he was good at or capable of doing for long. Size issues and all. Still, when her elbow surprised him he managed to turn slightly, avoiding a broken nose. He still wanted abit of fun and it did hurt. So he laid face down on her stomach without moving, as if knocked out.

He even held his breath so he'd be as still as possible. With all his weight on her it wasn't long for her to complain about it. He wasn't moving and she even tried pinching him. Motionless, and throbbing on the side of his face, this act wasn't easy. So when she struggled to roll him over to see if he was okay, he grabbed her and rolled so that she was directly on top of him, a grin on his face from having heard concern for that moment. " Well Scarlet, I'ma be knocked out regardless. I dun think I'ma make it to my room. Besides, it's nice to hear ya laugh."

He stretched his amrs over head and yawned, stretching. She looked about the same now, and it wouldn't surrpise him considering the days events. He rolled over again so she was underneath him and smiled with a small kiss to her as he grabbed the bed sheets to pull them back. Despite how natural it felt being with her all day it felt just a tad awkward now for some reason as he crawled under the sheets and fluffed a pillow. She too seemed abit uneasy as she crawled and snggled up next to him but smiles all around.

It still felt warm and wonderful but somehow awkward. Jack of course wasn't aware of any drug in the air, nor it's effects. To him the awkwardness of this situation was just how unexpected, and off note it was ending.

Dimitri looked at Bella for one quick second in confusion until he realized that he had just said what was supposed to be a thought only known to himself and noisy telepaths. This drug was getting out of control; if it got to the point where he couldn't even contain his thoughts, then this vacation was only going to get worse. But since Bella heard the negative things about logan it was only right she heard the good things as well.

"I know he isn't always like that." Dimitri said. "He's a good guy even though it may be difficult to get him to say that. One of the best guys to have on your team, and one of the worse to have against you."

But things seemed to calm down, switching the topic from Wolverine to Dimitri's mutant power, which Bella seemed to enjoy a lot and wanted to see it in the danger room, or perhaps during a good game of capture the flag. Dimitri didnt' want to burst her bubble, but he knew that there was going to be no chance that she was going to see his powers at all. He rarely used his powers during games; so rare it was safe to say not at all. As for the danger room, he never used his powers around anybody so the only time he used them in the danger room was when he was by himself and someone else was on the controls.

"I don't know..i'm more interested in seeing you guy's powers in the danger room and during games."

Gideon make a comment on the tigers, saying there was a way to arrange that, which made the playboy laugh a little while Bella gave the good news that she was in fact, the leader of the Omega team; that even though their powers were a bit similar, staying on her good side was for the best.

"Similar powers, aw now it really seems like we're made for each other..but i'll take your advice thanks." Dimitri told her.

The three lingered in the water a bit more until they were all feeling a bit tired and hungry for some reason. It was actually the KILLJOY drug going through its last stages, it's last few moments of tweaking the emotions and demeanor of its victims before its farwell. That meant that they were going to be back to normal; Dimitri would be himself once more.

"Sounds like a good idea." Dimitri replied regarding the food and clothes.

Bella made her exit out the pool a bit different than just swimming or walking out of the water; using her sonic wave to propel her towards the condo. Dimitri turned to Gideon to comment but saw the man sink on purpose down to the bottom of the water. Dimitri wasn't sure on what he was doing but he took a guess and his guess was correct. Gideon and Bella left Dimitri in the water being showered with small droplets of water; as if the clouds were brewing and it decided to rain.

Dimitri shrugged his shoulders and got out of the water the normal way, swimming a lil bit to the shore and walking out. Once he was out of the water, he jogged lightly back towards the mansion, where he would see Gideon, Bianca, Bella, and the guy from before when he first arrived. Once he arrived, he would follow Bella into the house, which he had no clue what it looked liked and was praying that at least a sandwich or some sort of meat was in the fridge, followed by good fasion sense by Bella.

Omega: Catalina - Well, these are going to be some weird dreams...

Jack's body slumped over her after she hit him in the face with her elbow, the redhead taking a few seconds to catch her breath and hoped that her ribs would quit throbbing. She felt a little bad about hitting him, that any residual guilt she had faded when she thought of how many times she asked him to stop. Tickling was one of those things she didn't really like - that feeling of spiders or bugs crawling over the skin was not what she considered pleasurable contact. There were plenty of other things he could have done - why was it men always went for tickling? Maybe it was a power trip…they could be really stupid, sometimes. When he still hadn't moved a few seconds later, Kerrigan glanced down at him, tapping the top of his head lightly in an attempt to wake him.

"Alright, you can get up now," she grunted, attempting to shift his weight off of her to little avail. Taps turned to prods, which quickly turned into pinching - it might have been concern for him, or it might have been that his weight was starting to restrict her lung capacity. So, as he grabbed her and rolled over so that she was on top of him, the redhead was simultaneously glad to see she hadn't caused any real damage, but also glad for the free flowing oxygen that filled her lungs. Breathing was nicer than most people gave it credit for. Chuckling as she looked down at him, the redhead slugged him on the shoulder again shaking her head.

"You're an a**," was all she said before he invited himself to a nap in her bed. She remained perched on top of him, looking down as he stretched his arms over his head, the redhead not really protesting considering how good a nap sounded to her as well. Her body far from protested as he rolled them over once more, pulling the sheets down with a kiss that she returned. He took his spot to the right of the bed, Kerrigan curling up on the left, the slightest bit of hesitation as she turned her body into his when they were both settled. While she was glad that they spent the day together, and even happier with how it ended up turning out, her judgment was starting to slowly return to her - her inhibitions beginning to chatter in the back of her head. A smile still graced her lips as she nestled her way into his arm, head resting on his shoulder, but it was not nearly as exuberant as it had been in the afternoon. Thankfully, she didn't have much time to lay in bed and think about it - her eyes closed of her own accord, and the redhead was out like a light.
