[Kyla:LoD: Throne Room>Palace>Imperial Courtyard]
With their partings said, Kyla finally appeared out of the throne room, the long walk out of the palace seemed somewhat disappointing. In all honesty she wanted to explore and experience China a little longer. The sights, the sounds... she wanted to see China ever since she was small, and it seemed they had been cheated since the only thing they got to see was the interior of the throne room, and a heck a lot of fighting!
"...and Jafars ugly mug." she muttered.
~ You got to see me though too!~ Tyue ( Carbuncle) chimed in her head. That brought a smile to Kyla's face. " Indeed..I did. and what a sight you were. And this time everyone saw you."
The cool breeze blew in from outside as she approached the palace doors. Giving a small bow of her head to the guards, the bookly armed earthling left the palace and walked down the long long stairway towards the group gathering below.
A meek and shy grin plastered to her face as she groaned, " I hope I didn't keep them waiting..."

Bahamut's appearance actually surprised Alan, although only someone who knew him very well would be able to tell from his countenance. The Bahamut?
Slipping into more formal mannerisms, Alan bowed his head in greeting to the King of Dragons. "Nice to meet you, Bahamut. It's an honor. If you don't mind me asking, what does the King of Dragons have to do with Jon's Dress Sphere?"
Alan was just a little disappointed by the news that the spheres didn't let people change classes.

James couldn't help but chuckle at Jenny's reply. He knew that she was right regarding the ramune. Though that usually wasn't the case. He laughed as he stood up and made his way back to the fridge and grabbed another bottle and made his way back to the table right as Jenny blew into her nearly empty bottle and as he sat back down he picked up his empty one following suit, the pitch from his bottle just a little bit lower due to being empty. Laughing as he pulled the bottle away from his lips. He had often done the same thing with empty bottles when he was bored.
"Yeah I used to do that all the time when I was bored, and I'm aware I could get another one, I just did. I am just used to saying that because I usually just can't get more. Just a funny little spin off of "Why is the rum always gone?"

As everyone left and said their goodbyes, the Emperor nodded to them all, giving a light (yet weary) wave as they turned toward the exit. Some had said things to them that were... interesting.
As they finally made their way out, the Emperor glanced to his guards with a look of intrigued confusion.
"... have I ever met them before?"
The guards shook their heads, returning their own confusion with a light shrug. The Emperor did the same before sitting back somewhat in his throne a hand massaging the bridge of his nose. "First, I need the family names of the honorable guards who gave their lives today..."

"Well, think of it a...catalyst, for the awakening of the connection between a summoner and their summon." the Dragon explained.
"Really? That's how it worked?"
"Yes."
"Huh...I was wondering about that. Well, I have the dress Spheres, but I'll wait till we're not moving before I hand it to you. Might as well give it during a point of rest." He saw Kyla come down the stairs and waved.
"My presence will probably hinder movement more than help, so I shall take my leave. If you have more questions, once we're resting, Alan, feel free to have Kichi re-summon me." And with that, the Mini Dragon King vanished.

"I see. Thank you, Bahamut. I'm sure I will have many questions, later." Once more, Alan bowed in farewell. Then, his aspect almost instantly changed back to the casual air with which he had spoken to Jon earlier. "Um," he said, "if it's possible, I'd like to have it sooner rather than later. Frankly, I don't relish the prospect of walking through the city in this . . . " he glanced at the ragged clothes he was wearing "Outfit."
Alan shuddered to think of what he must look like now - some sort of unkempt hobo, probably.

Kyle was somewhat shocked at Dawn's first 'test', immediately attacking Louis. Did the enchantment have the unintended consequence of sending them into a berserk state? That would make the Faith portion of it useless! However, as she began to apologize, he breathed a sigh of relief- she was just an airhead. Fitting.
"Well, next I suppose I should try it on you," Kyle said, rolling his shoulder somewhat as he walked forward. "Now, if you feel any discomfort, or if it starts to hurt-"
"I'll cut it off if I feel the Light acting maliciously," Ultima interrupted, remaining right where she'd been, still smirking somewhat at Dawn's accident. "That's why I'm still here, since I'm the source."
"That's... somewhat comforting," he responded before repeating the process, holding his arm out and palm open as he cast the spell. The Seraphic Heart would this time appear on his chest, underneath his clothing; a dim glow could be seen underneath the layers of cloth.
"This one's magic enhancing. Do you feel any different?" he asked, looking quizzical and worried at the same time. Louis would feel an increase to his magical attributes, but not nearly as significant as Dawn's, due to the conflicting elements.

"Oh-ho-ho-hohohoho! Fancy!" Kefka said, appearing behind the duo without so much as an announcement of teleportation; he was just there. Twisting himself somewhat, he turned around and bent backwards, looking at the trio upside down with a look of chaotic joy. "I knew I kept you guys around for a reason! I hate hate hate HATE having useless toys!"
Once again, without warning, he was behind the first of the Black Waltzes- the muscular one with an ice-like aura. Bending around to see its face, he poked the thing in the spot where its cheek would be; then, he was behind the second one, which radiated heat, whose shoulders he pinched; finally, he was behind the last one, where he pulled lightly at the wings that protruded from its back.
"Very nice indeed," he added, his voice suddenly dropping to a much more lethal sound as he appeared between the duo. "And I think I have just the jobs for them."

Louis turned his attention away from Kyle and Dawn, and over to the dummies. He knelt down on one knee and concentrated with a palm to the floor, in the space between his hand and the floor, a dark portal formed. The portal grew outward, but didn't suck in the two others, instead it released an upward force.
The darkness warped, and by his command, drew back in to his palm, following upward as he stood and drew his hand to chest level. The orb shaped mass of darkness floated beneath his palm, then, with little accuracy, he threw the concentrated ball at the dummies. Missing by a hair's breath, the ball flew right past and seemingly vaporized.
Louis stood there for a moment, and sighed, "Figures." Louis looked back to the others, "My aim sucks, so much for a test." A convenient lie, "Shall I try again?" Mid-question however, the place where the ball had completely vanished, like a delayed time bomb, a large sphere shaped portal opened, engulfing the dummies tearing them to shreds as it took in their forms piece by piece. It finally vanished without warning, after only a lone second in the world, taking with it the dummies and a large portion of the floor, which immediately repaired itself.

'Thanks, not as if my hair wasn't messed up already....' Dawn thought with a pout at Louis. Than her mind wondered to what he said about surprise was the best tactic. She couldn't help but be taken aback by the statement. To use such moves, just didn't seem right to her. It wasn't honorable.... Though she did use the same tactic when she attacked Louis just then. But that was different... right?
Dawn's attention was soon drawn away from what was said to watch as Louis tested out Kyle's enchantment himself. Her eyes widened at Louis's first spell. It was incredible. Though it missed it's target, it was still cool. Then Louis resummoned it or something. The dark ball reverted it's course and not only turning the dummy to dust, but taking out part of the floor as well.
"Holy crud!" Dawn practically shouted, "That was amazing! I am glad you used the dummy and not one of us. Though I wouldn't of blamed you if you did attack me, seeing how I surprised you with my cheep attack. I mean seriously, wow! All I can say is, I am glad you are on our side."

Louis smiled nervously at Dawn and replied, "Ah, thanks. But I'm really not that good. It must be thanks to Kyle's spell." He answered modestly, paused, then answered the rest, "I'm glad I'm on your side too." He smiled warmly, "I'd hate to be up against you guys. I might be able to handle one of you, but to take all of you on would be impossible. And even then, only one of you would be unlikely." Louis laughed and shrugged, "I'm a strategist by nature. I'm not one who excels in battle anyway. My talents lie in the battle before the battle... if you understand my meaning." Louis paused again to think then finished with a short story, "Back home, that was my job for awhile. My position was that of a mid ranked strategist for a general. I prepare for my opponent, giving us more of an edge, and my opponent plenty of weaknesses to exploit. I was good at my job, but I left when I realized my... less aggressive style went unappreciated by the higher ups. And- Oh, haha, I'll shut up now. You're not interested in my life story. If I'm talking to much , let me know. After all, we're here to train, not chat."
"So what now?"

Kyle nodded as the two spoke, even as Louis went on about his position back home in Ivalice. From the manner he spoke, Kyle assumed that Ivalice was still in its pre-Cataclysm era, which brought a sense of intrigue and worry. That meant their technology was far beyond that of Earth's... but that means the true avatar of Ultima, the true Ajora had not yet made much of a name for himself.
This worried him due to the single question that remained in his head: what if his Ajora was the same Ajora of Tactics? It was highly unlikely- hell, nigh impossible. But, as usual, the 'what if' bugged him.
"Not sure- it's up to you two, really," he said with a shrug, linking his arms behind his back and stretching them out. "I've tested all I need for today, so I'm pretty much done here."

The Keyblader had been taking care of Destati, his own personal chocobo, since Merlin's exit. He'd run a brush through the bird's multi-colored feathers, given it some extra greens, refilled its water... pretty much anything he could do to get his mind off of recent events. He'd lost not one, but two of the Earthlings.
So much for that promise...
King Mickey would be ashamed.
Riku would be ashamed.
Sora groaned, leaning against the wall with a frustrated look on his face. Immediately, Destati dipped her head down to look into the Keyblader's eyes, her own orbs showing a sense of sorrow, but for slightly different reasons. Sora chuckled somewhat, rubbing her chin- she was missing her friend, Riku's chocobo.
"How about we go for a ride, huh? Haven't done that in a while," he said, trying to smile, and he could see Destati's mood lighten significantly, causing the smile to become more genuine. Leading the bird out of her individual stable, he noticed someone else was in the room- Joe.
"Hey, Joe!" Sora called out, knowing full well he was probably still grieving in some way, shape, or form- maybe a ride could get his mind off of things, if just for the moment. "I'm going for a quick run. Wanna join me? Maybe we'll find some Heartless to beat up."

Joe had been absentmindedly stroking Izza when Sora called to him. Which was bad, cause he hadn't even noticed Sora, he was so deep in his own thoughts.
Gotta stop that...I'll miss important details like that.
Thinking about it, Joe nodded. The air would be good, and he needed more bonding time with his chocobo. And, of course, kicking some heartless a** would be wonderful, too.
"Yeah, sure. Let's get going."
Opening the stable, Joe didn't bother saddling up Izza, deciding that bareback could work for him now. Besides, all chocobos didn't have saddles in other games. Leading Izza out, he walked over to where Sora was with his, nodding at the door. "After you, So~ra~." He drew out Sora's name in a singsong voice. Why? He felt like it.

The mage smiled broadly as James returned to the table, blowing into the empty glass and letting the deep sounds echo across the dining car. She smacked her forehead lightly in exasperation, not believing that she had let a Jack Sparrow reference fly six feet over her head. That was horrible. She must have been out of it.
Jenny let her finger run across the rim of her bottle, contemplating what they should do next. Sleep was always an option, but she didn't want to be idle. It was best to keep her mind active, if she didn't want her thoughts haunting her. "You want to try out that training car? I don't think it has seen many people and it should be good practice for us," Jenny said, voicing her thoughts. Better to vent out all her negative emotions while she could. Maybe she'd imagine Elleon smoldering underneath a meteor.
