Scribbler panted a moment, snapping the ribs back into place with a wince and holding it there with an inken brace. She directed a grateful smile at Hrothbert.
The scuffed ground was pointed to, and she glanced at the one with the knowing glance, the question clear in her eyes.
Do you know where he is?

The sorcerer decided that getting to his feet would end badly, and instead braced himself against the ground.
Emma? Emma, where are you?
Save...your strength...

The faun pricked her ears in understanding and began using an outdated form of arcane energy.
It was grainy, and hard to see, but it showed the group at their position. And then the vision began going north west to a more normal part of the continent, it was well established like Nodnol and Servist, but there was a gigantic excavation site, but they weren't excavating anything.

There was much furious skritching from the notebook, Scribbler taking down every grainy detail at the quickest rate she could. She nodded gratefully to the fauns, smiling, then proceeded to scuff the ground with her boots so that all traces of the drawing was gone. Once she was done, she bowed. Thank you kindly.

Where are they taking you? Can you get a sense of your location? Emma! Answer me! Are you injured? Emma!
There was silence from the other side of the link.

"Does this mean we'll be able to take an ink portal there?" Farskon asked anxiously.

"I-I think so." The inkmancer made her way slowly to the others, hands shaking as she lifted the brush again. She was nearing the end of her tether, to be honest, but Scribbler was unwilling to slow the team down. A shaky breath later, she steeled herself, calling up the last dredges of energy.
"Are we ready for this? Say 'aye' if yes, and I'll begin."
The voice was steady enough, but Scribbler certainly was not.

The sorcerer finally managed to haul himself to his feet, putting a hand on Scribbler's shoulder. "Wait."
Energy flowed down his arm and into her, all that he could spare; he left himself just enough to give whoever was holding Emma a very quick death, and more would come back to him before he got there.
"Alright. When you're ready."

Whatever Hrothbert just poured into her was like a lightning-borne jolt of the stuff that powered the sun; it burned and tingled, but left Scribbler more awake than she had been in years. "Thank you, Lord Bainbridge..." She blinked at the sorceror in wonder before nodding, drawing the ink into a circle before them and connecting it to the image. Sure enough, a vision of the excavation site appeared through the portal. "There. Let's go."

He nodded, and stepped through the ink-conjured portal without a shred of hesitation.
His magic flickered again, and a sword materialized in his hands. A very, very, very big sword.

The portal began to do it's work, but some wards blew it off. Instead the portal took them 5 miles away from the city, the landscape was changed slightly, but not by alot. There was a road leading to it. The sky was more clear, but still wrongly colored as if the world as playing a prank on itself. Some parts of the landscape where floating in the air.

Scribbler stepped through after the others, not at all surprised by the shift of scenery. "Figures that he'd stick wards here too..." The energy lent to her still thrummed in her veins, sharpening her vision and analyzing each photon of light down to its most basic level. She could almost see the air itself vibrate around the floating islands, likely a product of whatever magic that was holding the earth suspended.
[ack, gotta go soon. Sorry!]

((No problem! I have school tomorrow, but we can pick this up whenever!))
"Of course." Hrothbert looked down at Scribbler out of the corner of his eye. Perhaps he'd given her a bit too much? He would have to wait it out and see what she did with it.
Little did Scribbler know, but she currently held within her enough power to level an area about the size of France.

"Well let's not waste time!" Farskon replied, and began running up the road abruptly.
He prepared himself slipping out his blades slightly, he looked up ahead of his view, and saw what looked like a magical metropolis out of a storybook. But he saw past that, somewhere in there Vaswedes was probably doing something unspeakable.
"We're coming for you!" He shouted at the top of his lungs, not slowing down.
((Gotta go! Let's leave it here tonight.))
