First Rule of a sniper is stealth. A sniper is a one shot, one kill expert marksman. He specializes in long range elimination of key OpFor personnel. If a sniper engages in prolonged exchange of fire, then he will lose.
Your primary weapon is a Bolt Action scoped sniper rifle. The shell is armor piercing, but it is doubtful that the round could puncture anything but the viewplate of a combat suit.
The secondary weapon is your standard issue pistol. In close range, if you are using that rifle, you are probably going to die.
Snipers must have the patience to wait for extended periods of time 2-6 days for their target to expose themselves to a round. If the sniper grows restless and moves too soon, they will die.
Let's Recap this shall we?
If you Shoot too many times, they will triangulate your position. DEATH
If you Move too soon, they will find you. DEATH
If you Miss, they will hide. MISSION FAILED
If you Attempt to engage in Close Quarters Combat your primary weapon is useless. DEATH
A sniper is only activly fighting for the instant the trigger is pulled. After that, its back to stalking.
((Anyone got anything to add? Sniping isn't really my thing, except in Call of Duty))

*sees this in the Militia thread* Lord Silver Blade ((1. im impatient and you know that )) Perhaps you should consider another line of work. We seem to be short on riflemen.

We seem to be short on riflemen. no no no no no i was kidding yes.... already you seem to have forgotten half the rules and regulations on the first page.... we could use more tank fodder any day.. oh sorry, yeah, riflemen, did I say that?

Lord Silver Blade *long sigh* i dont think im gonna fit in here, let alone half of the militia seems to be pissed at me not that, just the fact you need to cool your jets... more literaly than not, because it was an Event I said I would not train you: a) I, and most other people, lack the time as of the moment. b) the fact that an Even is going on, you being added to it could tip the balance of power too much, leaving the Event as a lifeless piece of cheesy script of a hologram, which I really don't want.
