At the top of the staircase he opened another door, which lead to an observatory. The sun was setting to the west, and the night sky rising in the east. A nice cool breeze was lightly blowing, tossing Edwards elongated hair about. "So tell me all the things I missed in your life while I was away."

Phantom looked around a moment before pulling up a chair and looked up at him before sighing. "Avarice called me a breeding cow, took Dana onto his side along with Yuri and his sister, Riley, or also known as Jack the Ripper, protected him. It broke me pretty bad cause I've loved him for so long. Quin and Mim promised to put me in the Idolians so I could have more protection. Mim lost her heart because of it but some Goddess saved her and then the Idolian king gave her half his heart to survive. And then a guy, a Phoenix really, showed up and we did this spell thing and now he and I are bonded. I have a guy, planning to kill my now ex husband, Riley gave me Yuri to protect because family is important to her." To her that sounded like everything in a nut shell, but god knows she forgot something somewhere.

"I see." Edward was leaning on the railing. "What I don't get is if Riley protected Avarice, then why did she leave Yuri with you?"

"Because Avarice is going over the deep end and she doesn't want her hurt. She can't side differently from her brother, but she can protect her family. Dana is worried about finding out who she herself wants to be with so she is having a hard time keeping track of her, and then Quin has completely disappeared. So I'm all she's got right now." She sighed and looked up at the sunset.

Edward nodded. "So you are once again charged with another child to raise. well I guess in a sense thats fitting. After all you are the Maternal figure." Ed was staring off into the starry part of the sky. "So is there anyone new around that I should know about?"

Phantom smiled at his maternal comment and then shook her head. "Besides Godric, Yuri, Riley, and some Idolians that I personally can't remember their names, no you don't." She ran her fingers through her hair. "How was the traveling? See anything exciting or fun?"

Phantom chuckled and nodded. "Yes I know. I thought you were on a mission, not being hunted again. I should have figured, but you never know."

"I was on a mission to not be noticed, to give Kirai enough time to do what she had to do before she revealed that I was alive again. But I think that it might have been in vain, because so many people at the castle already knew of my being resurrection. Anyways, Im just hoping she got done what she needed to."

Phantom nodded and stood up, standing next to him and grabbing his upper arm gently. "I wish I could tell you if she has or not, but after a while she kind of lost contact with me. I believe she tried but I don't know." She sighed and looked up at the stars.

"Well if she doesn't find me here soon, which she should know exactly where I am at all times, I will just have to go and find her. Anyways It's late, and I had one hell of a journey out of that forest today. So I think I am going to grab some sleep."

Phantom nodded and looked at him. "Alright. Your room is still where it is. I'm going to stay up here for a bit and such. I'll talk to you tomorrow though." She kissed his cheek and smiled softly. "Try not to get kidnapped while you sleep."

During Phantom's reunion with Edward, Godric had kept to the shadows, remaining absolutely silent. He looked grim, his tattooed arms folded across his chest. His shaggy black hair hid his eyes and emotions from the world around him. Truth was, he had this terrible feeling off dread that gave his skin goosebumps. When Yuri had wandered off, Godric's head tilted sideways, that very bird-like habit of his, and hurried off to find both she and Bain.
"Bain, Yuri," he called, his accent thick, "where have you gone?"

After a while Phantom went back down the stairs, making sure all was locked so no one could get in from the top and then started to wonder through the halls. She saw Godric wondering around and sneaked up behind him, hugging him from behind. "Don't worry about the kids, I've got tabs on them."

"I have become attached," he said, "to the young ones." Godric smiled kindly, his hands covering Phantom's own. From the corner of his eye, he could see the faint glow of their tattoos. As a Phoenix, Godric was naturally warm, but the warmth radiating from their tattoos...from the simple contact of flesh upon flesh...it was a warmth he'd never felt before. It was wonderful and tender and Godric felt himself leaning against her. "Edward is your blood, yes?"
