Kal attempts to disarm the trap!
>35 Trap is disarmed <35 Trap is not disarmed <25 Trap is sprung
Results: The halfling thief misplaces one of the wires within the trap, causing it to splash its contents onto the surprised rogue. Kal suffers moderate damage as the acid sears at his armor and skin!
Stronger torchlight appears in the chamber further down the hallway.

((Wouldn't it be 35 for the trap disarming thing, since I have a 65% chance it would be disarmed? Not that it matters, but...))
Kal felt the burning acid upon him and gritted his teeth in the immense pain. He didn't want to draw creatures, so he made as least sound as he possibly could in that situation. He wished he had water, but other than the pain and new felt weakness, he could still move and work. He pressed forward, only driven by the annoyance more so. He would defeat this bloody system. Period.
((And... 25 percent of 35... or even 25% of 65, isn't 25. It's...17. So 1-17, I'd be hurt right? Somebody double check my math, or I'll just let it go.... Tonas is the god of the Rp...I just didn't think Kal'd need to dodge it if he disarmed it.))

Tonas Trap Detected!Within the confines of the passage leading away from the audience chamber, Kal notices a depression within one of the pillars on either side. There is a small vat of acid behind the trap, prepared to pour into the hall should it be tripped!
Kal has a 65% chance of disarming the trap without triggering it. Kal has a 75% chance to avoid triggering the trap should he fail.
Option 1: Attempt to disarm it. Option 2: Have one person trigger the trap. ((Yes, you have a 65% chance of disarming the trap without triggering it. However, this is a separate % than the % of avoiding springing the trap if you fail to disarm it. This is why 3 separate criteria were listed on the roll. Over 35 disarms it. Under 35 fails to disarm it. Under 25 causes the trap to spring. The second percentage is based on your reflexes. You had a 75% chance to avoid it, a 75/100 chance, thus 25 or less would wind up getting you hit. Which, is unfortunately what happened. I did admittedly put the wrong number for the disarm roll, but it still hits, as it was already under the 25.)) There is an echoing of whispers and chanting down the torch-lit hall, you cannot see what is going on, but you are certain that you hear voices.

Tjaden bit his tongue as the trap was set off and admired the halfling's resistence to the pain. Reaching below his armour, he tore a large chunk of cloth from the bottom of his shirt and went to Kal's side. "Here, halfling, use this cloth to wipe the acid from your cloths and armour so that it does not stick and cause extra damage." Tjaden whispered before looking ahead to the whispers and voices down the hall. "It is possible they have been alerted by the trap," Tjaden again whispered, this time to the whole party. "We should take up positions and wait here...or else we could be walking into a trap." Tjaden turned back to the hallway and lifted his shield up in front of his sword.
(Question: now that ronus is dead, my sword is no longer glowing, correct?)

((Correct. You'll need Selce to enchant your weapon again.))
The group paused for a moment but the chanting from the room at the end of the hall remained at the same barely audible level, ignorant of anything going on inside the hallway.

((Crud which means my arrows are useless... agian... I only wish I had blunt ended arrows... Then that Laren would have been useful against that beast...))
"It would seem that whoever is chanting is unaware of us and our recent activities," Laren said after a few moments of waiting, "That or they are prepaired to wait for us for however long it takes. Might I suggest a scouting mission? That and a reenchanting of our weapons?"
((Wait wasn't it Selce who enchanted Tjaden's sword in the first place?))

((Ack, purest is right. Tjaden's sword is still enchanted via Selce, but Kal's knife and Laren's arrows were "technically" done by Ronus. And yes, the chanters at the end of the hall will not be active until interacted with.))

((Aye thats right, I must keep track of who is majiking me razz ))
Tjaden nodded to Laren;s suggestion, lowering his glowing sword behind his shield to mask as much light as possible from reflecting down the hall. Kal was a stealth master ny profession, Laren a stalker by nature, and nighter Erron nor Selce wore armour. Of all the people in the party, Tjaden was the last one who should be going to scout ahead...he would warn whatever lay ahead of the impending intruders like a bell on an alley cat. He simply waited for Laren and Kal to decide how best to approach the room ahead.
As he moved into a defensive position, eyes and ears alert, Tjaden couldnt help but wonder how anything could be alive enough down here to chant if the tomb had been sealed off for any length of time. If their were living things down here, it meant a source of food and fresh water...something the governing body above would be interested in knowing.

Erron checked Kal's wounds and considered his healing palm technique, he was unsure if it could be used on another person in the same fashion as Reiki (DM check, could I use it on him as I am currently the last person with any sort of healing ability, no matter how limited it is? Also, we still have a few potions from the initial dungeon we never used) "Laren, can you make out what they're chanting?" He whispered as he crouched next to the halfling inspecting his wounds.

"It would probably be easier if I moved closer," said before trying to haer the chanting better. Laren makes a listen check .(I know this isn't D&D but I was wondering if you still did that sort of thing),"If Kal and I moved forward I could probably report back to you while Kal layed a trap in preporation for our innevaitable arrival."

(Wow, D&D is really complicated eh? But I guess I'll enchant Laren's Bow and Kal's sword. I assume that would grant each of Laren's arrows magical damage?) Selce started to get herself under control and notice details. Details like the fact that Kal's sword and Laren's bow were no longer glowing, and the chanting up ahead. "If we get into a fight I'll enchant your weapons, it will take time, but not alert the chanters up ahead with the glow if I do it now." She told Kal and Laren. She flattened herself against the left side of the wall and let them pass her. She got the necessary components from her robe to ready her spells.

As Laren nears the end of the hall, her elven ears detect the strange words of those from whom they originated.
Naré Estamus de la Drakor... Ne Dan!
The same phrase was being repeated over and over again. It seems as though those emitting the sounds are in a trance.
((No, we don't make Listen Checks or anything to do with senses aside from dealing with debuffs such as deafness or blindness etc. and no Zero, the bow does increase the damage that arrows deal, but the projectiles need to be enchanted, you can enchant her quiver however, this will have the desired effect.))

Erron couldn't understand what they were chanting but one word had caught his attention, "Drakor", it sounded similar to the word "Dragon" a word that had been chasing them since they escaped the dungeon.
He nodded to Laren and Kal then turned to Selce and her familiar whom she had called back in the Golem's Chamber and asked her if she could see if he knew what they were chanting.

Kal disliked being weak, but he allowed the help. Lest he be too stubborn and die. He thought about the current situation carefully. He only heard 'Drakor' as well. The most voiced word in the string of words. By deinition of how it's said, everyone would hear it. "I'll go. I have close weapons, at least if their bodily, I can attack them on fair grounds. A sword versus a bow and arrows in close combat...easy to tell who will win. I'd rather not lose you," he commented softly. "I'll go, hopefully see what's going on without detection, and then return with news," he added. He let his hand in case his dagger. He then slid into the shadows, away from the helpful hands. As much as he wished to stay. He slid into the darkness and snuck towards the noise...
((I bought my enchanted dagger, so.... How does it's enchanting wear off?))

((Shut up.... Just kidding lol. Everyone's confusing me x.x Anyways >.> Zack is right, the dagger was purchased, I just got mixed up because of the whole question of whether he had bought a crossbow earlier etc. etc. regardless... moving on))
As the halfling rogue made his way to the end of the hall, it revealed a moderately sized antechamber, illuminated in an orangish glow. Four hooded figures stood in a diamond formation around the center floor design, chanting their ritual over and over again.
The warm glow emanated from the artifact sitting in the center of their ritual group.
It was the Dragon's Eye!
The orb floated several feet off the ground but seemed to emanate an otherworldly aura as it pulsed with the constant words of power being chanted into it.
It was at this time that Kal noticed for the first time the faces of the hooded figures. Their skin was scaled and were colored of various hues, their eyes were open, despite the trance-like state they were in, revealing pupil-less slits that housed their ocular orbs. Horns jutted from their face as though they replaced whatever hair they might have once had.
As Kal gazed upon the Dragon's Eye, a flash of light seared straight into his brain. He could suddenly understand the language that the cultists were speaking.
Glorious Lord of the Dragons... We Obey!
Despite the spark from the orb, the chanting continued unabated.
