"Yes, in fact, I am," Sushi smiled. "I was chatting with a friend very similar to you. You might know her. Are you in the Black Magic Club?" Sushi inquired. Sushi allowed the girl to push the candles. She continued lugging around her mattress while walking alongside the girl.

Sushi grinned encouragingly. "Go for it! The worst they can do is say no. And how could they say no to such a dedicated girl like you?" Sushi exclaimed. "I think you should conquer your fear and just ask him. Nekozawa- sempai is a pretty decent guy."

"Congrats! You'll meet a lot of cool people there." Sushi was distracted by a pet store. New Birds! a sign flashed from the window. Sushi loved feathered friends. As she walked by the window, many birds flew to the corners of their cages to try to get a better view of Sushi. "Aww. Birds." Sushi commented warmly.

Maniko tilted her head at the girl. "I owned a bird once. I didn't like how it was cooped up though so I let it free... though, quite frankly, I think my parents were mad." She giggled, which brightened her slightly dark demeaner momentarily.

"I'm sure they wouldn't be, but that was a very noble act," Sushi grinned. "I have not ever considered owning these birds... Hmm." Sushi thought for a second, then shook her head. "Nah, they are much prettier in the air. I agree with your reasoning."
(I don;t have a problem with it, but keep in mind that the setting is a supermarket. ;D)

The soon-to-be Black Magic Club member got a glint in her eye. "They look so much prettier in the air..." She looked slowly at the pet store as all of the birds stared at them with shiny eyes.

Sushi gasped. "You're not thinking of..." Sushi trailed. She turned to the window. The birds hopped around the small cages, twittering wildly. There was a pained look in Sushi's eyes. "They're all cooped up in there..." Sushi muttered. She looked toward her companion. "I'll distract the owner," Sushi said. Peering in, she saw a teenage girl popping her bubble gum. "It shouldn't be too hard."

"Go... I have to leave my candles somewhere safe." Maniko put the cart in an abandoned corner of the market, coming back to look casually at the birds as Sushi distracted the owner. The birds all looked calmly at her. "Time to be free..."
