Oh Ivie, she didn't know she said something that could possibly lead to dirty comments! So, oblivious, she lapped up the attention and kept up looking as happy as a clam. "Physical therapy, huh? Well it was worth every minute of it, Nye." She'd think of going into it herself...except that massaging your own head never quite got the same effect.
Aside from odd-jobs during her school-years, nursing was really the one job Ivie had ever had. Despite the crazy hours and the straing it was something she honestly enjoyed, looking after people and seeing them get better. Her only problem is that she became a little too close to some of her long-term patients, to the point where her supervisor had her removed from the intensive care unit simply because she became too upset when someone in her care died. She still got Christmas cards occasionally from a couple of her patients. It was worth it.
Following Nye's lead and moving over to the mirrors, Ivie also glanced over at Zak and Tim. With no reason to be supicious she simply sent them a smile, before returning her full attention to Nye.
"Actually, Melissa did but that was just because I couldn't get it up in a bun the other day so she helped. She almost made me late 'cause she was playing with it." She glanced up at him in the mirror. "I told her it was your fault and she got completely gushy. I'm not sure whether it's because I was spending time with a member of the male species or because she's happy someone was spoiling me. It's difficult to tell with her sometimes."
Arvia had thrown her shirt across the room as soon as she was in the privacy of closed doors. That was only because she didn't have anything else to throw - being away and all - and clad in her bra and jeans, she flopped onto her bed and just screamed into a pillow.
He was so. frustrating. Unbelievably so! She just didn't know what to do with him; she wanted him, his body at least wanted her, but did he? Of course...well, she hadn't even thought that her father might have been the issue until she mentioned it earlier. She'd have to talk to her father about that before she tried again, just to make sure Gale wouldn't get in trouble. She really, really doubted her Father would even think about going against something she wanted; she was a big girl, she could make her life decisions herself and he liked Gale. No problems. In her mind.
Sighing again and making a note to talk to Gale about it tomorrow, the girl undid her hair. It had grown, she mused as it flopped everywhere and pulled her brush out. By the time there was a knock on her door, she was almost done.
"Just a second!" She'd lost her shirt somewhere down the back of the bed and didn't have time to grab another, so when door 17 creaked open it was just Arvia's head that poked out to peer at Gale. "Oh! Gale! Um, just...let me go grab a shirt, alright?"
And she scampered back into the room, not bothering to shut the door properly, and began rooting around for something to throw on.

Nye had clipped everything except the bottom layer of hair up, snipping away at its redness. All that stress apparently really fried her hair if Nye's careful eyes deemed that it needed a trim so soon after her last cut. Maybe it was both? I spoil people and I'm male." The second layer of hair was let down, and the rest gathered right back up again. Time to even things out again. "Well, I was the last time I checked."
Some doubted that a hairdresser could ever be a proper member of the male species. I'm pretty sure Nye's track record obliterates that opinion.
Gale was, thankfully, much better at holding his alcohol than Arvia seemed to be. Any completely drunken man would have taken total advantage of that door and Arvia while she didn't have her shirt on.
Good thing he was only slightly tipsy. Just tipsy enough to do something completely crazy, that he would probably never do sober.
As the door creaked open just slightly, Gale turned his head, but ended up turning it right back. Being slightly taller than Arvia, and for the fact that the human physique makes it impossible to stand up to one's full height and peek out the door, the boy got a decent view of what's been tucked away under that shirt the whole time.
Now he really wouldn't be able to look at her the same again.
Not having the concrete willpower he generally possesses without the influence of alcohol, Gale couldn't really help but peek into the ajar door for a few seconds. He turned away again once his hands began to want to act on their own and just grab her before she got any sort of top on.
Thank goodness his body had a different idea. This was crazy enough as it was, but he couldn't have her just be mad at him like that.
He sort of forgot about all the different hormones that were acting up at that moment. Apparently, they were still very much in his body.

Well Ivie had been under more stress than any normal person would be in a year, what with abusive boyfriends, being attacked (thrice) and almost killing herself all in one month. Two months now? She couldn't even remember now.
"That's what they all say, Nye." Ivie teased with a grin, glancing back at the two boys whispering behind them. "For all I know you could be in a torid love affair with Zak and Tim over there, you male hairdressing types."
Little did she know just how right about Tim and Zak, anyway, she was. Oops.
Fortunately Arvia was completely unaware of the torment she was putting Gale through at this very moment. If she was, well, she might have been mean and made it worse, but for the moment modesty was winning out and she managed to find a singlet-top on the top of her bag. She shrugged it on, making sure she was decent before scampering back to the door.
"Sorry about that, I was getting ready for bed." She explained, feeling slightly embaressed to be caught in such a position. One hand came up to comb her hair out of her face, the long strands hanging out and down her back. "How can I help you, Gale?"
She was doing her best to remain slightly aloof, in his interests, but a slight frown came over her face and she waved a hand in front of Gale's. "You've had a few...haven't you." Interesting.

"Dammit, Nye? How'd she guess?" came the sarcastic reply from Zak. Tim seemed to be fretting with something behind the counter all of a sudden, cheeks tinted slightly red. Perhaps he was feeling ill? It was mighty cold outside.
"Iduno, Zak! I tried not to drop any hints, I swear. I guess our hot love is just too much for Miss Callaghan." Second layer down, third layer undone and combed. He really was enjoying giving her a refresher. Curly red hair was just too much fun to play with, after all. "You're just jealous, and we alllll know it, Ivie," he whispered to her, having to lean over slightly.
"Hey, no secrets!"
"Two," he answered straightforwardly, remembering the pure alcohol with food coloring he seemed to down just moments ago. His throat still burned, it was so damn strong. "Now c'mere before I remem'er wha' 'm abou' t'do and star' regre'ing it," he near growled out in a tone he had never quite used before in present company.
Now, honest, he would never ever do something like this sober, so Arvia, you better as hell enjoy it.
Gale pushed off the wall he was so casually leaning on and turned to face Arvia, instantly wrapping his arms around her frame and bringing her closer before pressing his lips firmly to hers.
She could pull away or she could pull him in. Her choice.

"Yes, your love is just too much for one room to handle. Stop it before something explodes." For effect Ivie's voice was almost completely monotone as she said it, before a huge grin broke out on her face. Tim's obvious discomfort with the subject went unnoticed as Ivie took a bite of the cake he'd given her a few minutes earlier. Mm~Tastey!
Her eyes slid to where Nye's face was, and she smirked a little. "Oh yes." She whispered back, changing her gaze to look at Zak and Tim instead. "Terribly."
And she popped another mouthful of cake into her maw.
Now Arvia really hadn't been expecting this. She'd been thinking perhaps, later, they'd discuss the matter civally or simply fall into a pattern of sorts, but she most deffinately hadn't been thinking that a tipsy Gale would knock on her door and kiss her.
It wasn't unappreciated, let me tell you! And good Lord he'd growled. That had been enough to make Arvia weak at the knees and simply melt into the kiss without thinking an awful lot about it.
But then her sober mind kicked in. "You're tipsy, Gale...you're going to...oh hell with it, you c'mere." And she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer, happily amping things up to the level of frenchness, the bitter sting of alcahol on Gale's lips doing little to drive her off.

Nye pouted down at her upon standing up straight, tapping her on the head with his comb. "Stop swimming in denial, 's not just a river in Egypt."
Haha. Nye made a funny.
As the last few layers of her hair came down, Nye seemed to have a little more trouble straightening them out. He always had trouble with shorter hair, and thin layers of steadily drying curls were actually trickier than most people would have thought.
"Zak and Tim still won't tell me where that bakery is. I might have to stalk them to find out."
The phone rang then, getting picked up immediately by a still-flustered Tim. "Uh, Salon de Antionette, how may I help you? ... Yes. Yes. Yes, he's here. Hold on, let me ask him," he said as he pulled the phone away from his ear and put his hand over the receiver. "Hey, Nyesie. Can you take another one in fifteen minutes?" "No." "Why? You usually take last-minutes." "Tell them my wrist hurts, Tim. I've got stuff to do today." "But it's Nicole!" "Then I really broke my wrist and won't be able to cut for a while."
He wasn't expecting that weird growling sound to come out of him but it seemed to work, so his instincts were completely happy. He hadn't gotten any action since he was like, seventeen or so. What'd you expect to happen after being kissed twice and slightly tipsy? Seriously now.
Still somewhat sane, he didn't actually want to be caught making out in a public hallway, so he made an advance and pushed both himself and Arvia through the open door and into her room. Some blind groping behind him later, he found the door handle and was able to effectively push it closed without much fuss.
In a room in the resort basement, three guards were happily eating their late reheated TV dinners when this showed up on a hallway camera. "Lucky boy," one of them said as he chuckled. They saw enough of this kind of stuff during their shifts especially to be amused by it. "Yeah," another agreed. "... Wait. I ... is that my cousin?" The first guard burst out in a crazy fit of laughter. "Are you serious?" "I... I think so... Yeah. Yeah! That's my cousin Gale! ... And he always used to be the gentleman. I should call John up about this..."

"I think you should. It's a noble cause, if only to pass the information onto me." She'd indulge herself during exams and perhaps for her birthday. That was a worthy cause, right?
And she'd finished her cake. Aw, that was the worst part; it always ran out. Left with only Nye's hands in her hair to enjoy - which isn't something to complain about really - Ivie had her eyes closed happily until the phone rang. There was no fancy hair-dresser lingo for her to get confused with, and she glanced up at Nye in the mirror.
"Ah...I can go shopping on my own, Nye, if you're busy. I mean, it's just groceries." There she went again; always not wanting to be a bother in any way possible. The fact that Nye really didn't want to see this girl hadn't quite set in for her.
Even though their rather heated, corridor kissing had been witnessed (unknown to both of them), Arvia was really in bliss. This was the only time Gale had ever come onto her and it really did make a difference, and only partially because she wasn't worried about him running away. She barely noticed him moving them into her room until the door shut, leaving them in the rather dim lighting of her bedroom.
Well she had been getting ready for bed. It wasn't as if she'd needed more than the bedside lamp on. Someone cue the porn music, were Gale any other man the situation would have been absolutely perfect.
However, she didn't want to scare him away. Eeeeever so slowly, making sure to keep him quite entertained with her kissing (and Gale was a rather good kisser, surprisingly), she let her fingers to the talking and had a good explore of his back and...other places. Nothing too naughty though; this was Gale, after all.

"Goodness no," he said disapprovingly. "I'm already running out of ways to spoil you, why would I give that sort of valuable information away?"
Nye pulled his hairdryer off the hook and was in the middle of drying Ivie's revived curls when the exchange with Tim happened. He just... really didn't wanna see Nicole. She was a little too desperate to get him for his liking.
"Gods no. I'd rather jump into a volcano than see her, thanks."
He finished the drying without another word, and near commanded Ivie to keep it down the rest of the day as he took off the plastic smock and shook it off. "There. Now you're all trimmed and your curls look like curls."
Tim had to listen to curses as he hung up the phone and stuck his tongue out at it. Honestly, they were waiting for the day that Nicole could just go away.
Gale was part of the Sefron five no matter how dormant his hormones were. All those boys seemed to be rather good kissers, or at least good at... other things. Or so the girls told them, anyways. Natual talent. They all agreed it probably came from their mother.
Honestly, the sober part of him appreciated her taking this slow. He'd probably regret it a little in the morning as it was, and if things happened to get too far, he'd probably have a mental breakdown.
He broke their most definitely heated makeout session only to move his attention and leave lingering kisses all the way down her neck, waiting for some pang of regret or something while he could bare to focus.
Huh.
When none came, he moved his head right back up and went back to playing tonsil hockey, to be quite frank.
"Ayo." "John?" "Yeah. Who's this?" "Mitchell." "s**t, Mitch! ... Shouldn't you be at work?" "I am. Where's Gale?" "Away at school. He lives with some rich family 'cause they hired him to garden and stuff. Why?" "Does said rich family have a daughter?" "I think so, he's mentioned her a couple of times." "'Cause I just caught them making out in the hallway." "WHAT?"
Mitchell laughed. He loved speaker phone.

"Bully." She grumbled with a pout. And she'd been planning for cake too! Well, supermarket brand cake it would have to be then. It'd save her money.
"Well if you say so." A part of Ivie just let out the breath that Nye was ditching this girl to come shopping with her. It was a selfish desire but she couldn't help it; all these clingy girls hanging around Nye made her edgy, and the fact she was being favoured left a warm, bubbly feeling in her stomach, like she'd drunk apple cider on a warm night.
"They always looked like curls!" She protested, though as soon as the plastic smock was removed she peered at herself in the mirror and ran her fingers through them, savouring the silky feeling that she only seemed to get after a trip to the hair-dressers. Perhaps she should lash out on decent shampoo every once in a while.
Yeah, right.
Not really wanting to cover up her hair when it was looking this nice, Ivie stuffed her beanie into her handbag before she began wrapping herself up in her coat and scarf again. "So, how much do I owe you?" She asked as she tied the material off. Somehow she got the feeling Nye wasn't going to let her pay again, but she rummaged through her bag to find her purse, just in case.
No matter how cute Gale was, or how well he kissed, Arvia just wasn't the sort of girl to jump his bones just because she wanted him. Badly. The furthest she might go was second base...possibly thid but unlikely in this situation...but there was no way she was going all the way with him tonight. Been there, done that, and even if you did think you knew your partner it wasn't always a good idea. She'd learnt that the hard way.
Gale was really pulling all the right moves though. Arvia let out some very happy sounding mewls when he turned his attention to her neck and she threaded her hands into his hair, trying to keep him there.
But kissing was all good too. Giving his hair a little pull in some vain attempt to get them closer, Arvia decided to be a little daring. She tugged them over to the bed and sat, attempting to tug Gale down after her. Just sitting, dear, nothing more~

Nye didn't wanna get too confident on himself here, but he could've sworn Ivie looked the tiniest bit relieved that he was coming shopping with her instead of servicing Nicole's every want and need. Then again, his eyes were itching a little.
"Nothing if you let me buy you juice," he said, a little grumpy. She knew very well that he would cut her hair for free any time he felt she needed it, and he knew very well that he'd buy her whatever anyways. And if she paid him, the money would be spent on her anyways. So ha.
Gale barely had enough self-control as it was. If she had attempted to jump his bones, his bones would be jumped and eager to receive said jumping. Arvia was rather attractive herself, and hell, this is what his body had been asking for since he was in the lower double digits. His brain was on auto-pilot. Why not, right?
'Cause he was a decent guy. That's why.
Still, Gale let himself get pulled to sit on the bed. He needed to make sure things didn't go much farther than this at this point. He felt his thumb and pointer finger slip under her shirt on pure accident, grazing the skin just above her jeans while the rest of his hand stayed firmly planted a little too low for comfort... if he was sober. Working on pure instinct, Gale's free hand settled higher on her back and pushed her body much closer to his own, suddenly needing the physical contact.
"Are you sure it was Gale?" "I'm ******** positive. Red, messy hair, tall, baggy sweater." "And he's the one that kissed her?" "Well, yeah." "Sure it's not a drag queen?"

"Nye, thta's completely illogical." Ivie said, rolling her eyes but letting her purse drop back into her handbag none-the-less. Subconciously she ran a hand through her hair, still savouring the feel, before she did up her jacket.
"Well are you ready to go or do you need to finish up? Lizzie and I can wait." On hearing her name called by her 'second owner', Lizzie perked up and trotted over to Ivie's feet, jumping onto her hind legs and offering the toy she'd stolen from JP to the girl. Ivie giggled, crouching and ruffling the pup's hair.
"Sorry, JP, but us girls stick together." She said cheeikly, picking Lizzie up and letting her lick her all over the face. "Too much testosterone from Nye over there for her, you know?"
Thankfully for Gale's mental state, Arvia wasn't going to jump his bones as mentioned earlier. Despite this, Arvia scooted a little further onto the bed and pulled her legs up, getting comfortable as Gale tugged her closer. By this stage they were pretty much chest to chest and melding together, and really it was just their shirts in the way. Arvia wasn't so fond of that but she didn't want to scare him, skittish as he was.
"Off." She mumbled eventually, moving to his neck this time and nipping there. Kissing under his ear her hands moved under his shirt this time, yanking upwards. "Don't worry, we're not going too far. With that she slid his shirt upwards, giving him little choice but to raise his arms and let her tug it off. She didn't give him a lot of time to recover from it either, wrapping her arms around him and pressing her lips to his again...before noticing somthing and pulling away to stare at his chest.
"...You should really be more careful." She said in amazement, eyeing the patchwork of scars before smirking. Well if he lived through that...on that note, she almost launched herself at him, smashing her lips to his and planning to knock him onto his back to lie on top of him.

"Illogical is my forte," he said as he headed for the coat rack to grab his stuff. He noticed that he himself could use a trim as he pulled his cap onto his head and reached for his jacket. "I'm ready to go."
Jean-Pierre chuckled merrily as he put the bin of dog toys away and pulled a treat from his pocket to give to Lizzie. She took it happily, licking JP's hand for crumbs after she had swallowed her version of a cupcake. Apparently both she and Ivie had a sweet tooth. (Sorta.)
"'S okay, Ivie," Zak piped up as he readied his station for the next appointment. "He won't be a man much longer. The surgery's scheduled for next Tuesday." "You wish."
Nye had gotten his coat on and his scarf around his neck, patting his coat pockets for the car keys. "Shall we?"
Gale had shifted a little bit as well, having one leg all the way up on the bed and the other dragging slightly on the floor. He didn't get the chance to protest before his shirt was stripped right off, leaving nothing but his scars and his skin. The warm air of the hotel room wasn't much different to him, a little colder than it should've been, seeing as his body was emanating an insane amount of heat at this point.
He let Arvia reassure him, let himself ease up for a bit and trust that their pants would at least stay on if their shirts didn't. He completely forgot about his scars when she pulled away to look at them, nor did he particularly care about them being there anymore. "This isn' careful," he managed to get out before getting tackled flat on his back. If they weren't on a bed, that would have probably hurt, but still.
Gale's hands slipped themselves entirely under her shirt, starting to pull it up and over her head while he pulled away briefly, mumbling "No' fair," right into her ear. Well, as soon as her shirt was thrown aside, he took the slight lack of anything to just give her a slight push and flip the two of them over.
He was quite the aggressive young man if he put his mind to it.
With the utmost urgency, he bent down to kiss her on the mouth and began moving down her neck again all the way to her collarbone, letting his hands wander a little bit and trace her curves. He never felt like he needed a woman more in his life, and he wasn't sure if that was the alcohol telling him that.
But he did remember the self-control he had left.

"Don't I know it." Ivie mumbled as she shouldered her bag, holding Lizzie against her hip like one might a child. Completely content, the puppy simply panted happily and wagged its tail.
"Oh really?" She said with a smile, grinning in Nye's direction. "Then we'll really be able to have a girl's night in, not just pretend!" They left the store to laughter, Ivie walking next to Nye happily. She saw why he hung out with the group at the salon regularly; they were always good for a laugh.
"Your co-workers are so nice." She said with a smile as they wandered over to his car, her cradelling the puppy to her chest. "It must be nice being so close-knit....why'd you drive the car when it's a ten-minute walk anyway, Nye?"
Still, she let him open the door for her and slid into the seat, shivering a little as the temperature change from the Salon finally kicked in. Chilly! Lizzie squirmed in her lap, a happy, warm ball.
He did have a point. Careful would have set them up with a few dates before they got anywhere near this far, so Arvia chose to ignore that particular comment and concentrate on kissing the life out of her current partner.
She felt a shiver course down her spine as Gale showed some initiative in taking things just that little further, not putting up a fuss as the tank was disguarded somewhere along the lines of her first one. It was the flipping, however, that really got her going. Apparently Arvia, for all her bossy nature, quite enjoyed a slightly dominant man in bed and she lapped up the attention, arching slightly into Gale's touch.
Never in her life had she wanted so badly to just yank a man down and tell him to screw. her. now. Instead she settled for a strangled mewl as he went to work on her back and collarbone, letting her hands trail across the multitude of scars across his back, one hand venturing ...a little lower to pull him even closer were it popular.
"Gods, Gale." She hissed quietly, happily, having no other purpose for talking other than to voice just how happy she was about situation.

Nye closed the door after Ivie and jogged over to the driver's seat, unbelievably cold for a person who just spent five hours or so in a salon. He clambered in behind the wheel and got the ignition going, turning on the heat directly after. "They're really cool. If you make fun of them, they bounce back really quickly."
Gear shift, gas pedal. Back home to drop off Lizzie!
I grabbed it at the last minute today 'cause I remembered we were going shopping. I don't like to waste gas, really." It was bad for the environment in the first place. And it was a bother to buy.
The drop-off was actually pretty hasty. Nye took Lizzie upstairs and made sure she had food, water, and toys while he made Ivie stay in the warm car, and came back down to drive to the supermarket. The drive there- about three minutes- was quite filled with laughter after Nye pointed out that creepy cop with the handlebar on the way there. They were stalking him now! It was kinda scary.
Getting into the grocery store seemed top priority, to get away from the cold breeze that made their cheeks all rosy and made it hurt to breathe a little. He loved grocery store heating.
"Okay! Now that we're not freezing our butts off anymore... did you make a list or do you know where you wanna start?" he said as he yanked a shopping cart out of the row. "I used to love to ride these things when I was a kid." 'Kid' = like, last summer.
Yeah, see? Exactly. If you defined dates as racing down a slope, eating breakfast, and snogging in an elevator, they were okay on that scale. Otherwise? Apparently they liked to throw caution to the wind.
Michelle and Terry would probably have had a s**t fit if they knew about this, but certain sources would confirm that whatever room they were in was already a little steamier (and angstier) than the one Gale and Arvia were in. And room seventeen was getting pretty steamy, if you ask me.
Gale was beginning to feel the need to apply some definite limits. He had to reposition himself a little, making sure to keep both his hands above the waistline and to steadily bring his head back up before it went any lower, because then his self-control would really be in trouble.
He lingered on her neck, right below her jawline, going between covering the area with kisses or just nuzzling her for a bit before he 'rediscovered' her mouth with his. Eventually their shirtless bodies were brought together again, and he couldn't quite say that shoving his clothes in the dryer for a bit felt better than that.
"It definitely wasn't a drag queen, John" "Yeah, if she was, -I'd- go gay for her. Opened the door in her bra, and even if she didn't parade herself around, I think one look sent your baby brother nutty." "I..." "What?" "I..." "John? You okay?" "Mitch?" "Yeah?" "I'm really proud of him. It's so good to hear that he's not gay." "Who's not gay?" came a voice from John's end of the line, another male. "Gale's making out with a hot girl in her hotel room, that's who." "Seriously?" "I'm making John show me proof that it was him." "About time." "I know, Sean. I know."

It was a genuinely comfortable car-ride. Ivie and Nye had this attitude where it was like they'd been around each other for years, rather than a few months, and Ivie had no issues just waiting in the car for him to return. Some giggling and jogging into the store later, Ivie pulled the hood of her jacket off and shook out her hair, accepting the warm embrace of the supermarket.
"I did actually, yeah. We'll probably only need the basket though..."
Is it a surprise? Ivie's list only consisted of essentials; milk, bread, eggs and frozen meals, punctuated with some fresh fruit and vegetables. Well it was her paying, so that went without saying considering her spending attitudes.
There was absolutely nothing angsty about the position(s) Arvia and Gale were in right now. Both held an attachment for the other - even if they hadn't quite worked that out yet, and were having a good preview of how things were going to be like once they figured things out. If this was a preview, damn things were going to get steamy!
They were pretty hot and heavy now, and the room felt warmer than it should have as Gale pressed down on her. Arvia wouldn't have removed him for the world. It was obvious she enjoyed attention to the neck, moaning quietly and wrapping an arm around Gale's necks. The other one dragged itself down his back again to play with the waistline of his jeans. Oh the temptation to slide her hand underthere...but no. Not now, anyway, it was way too soon for that. Instead, squirming herself a little beneath him, Arvia almost subconciously brought one of her legs up to curl around Gale's waist, pulling him -very- close as her other slid to the opposite side at the guesture.
...and that wasn't a flashlight, she thought with a smirk as she inched her way into another french-kiss and pressed herself flush against him.
