"If this ice is made just by human will...."
Before Michael could fully understand why he wasn't able to break through the ice swept in on him. "So....she's gotten stronger." Rocketing out of his icy prison he headed for the lake. Lilith would surely be awakening soon.

"Well, what do you have to say for yourself?"
The man spat out his words, fist slamming into the desk in the cigarette smoke filled room, spilling over the near full ash tray.
"How about , 'Calm down.'?"
Lucien stood facing the window, palm against the glass, other hand embedded in the pocket of his coat, back turned to both the man and the desk.
"What did you say, you little s**t? Do you have any idea what the Big Man's gonna do to you once he finds out?"
Lucien turned as the man continued ranting, grin mostly hidden by the upturned collar of his coat, as a red feather fell from inside his coat.
"Who says he's going to?"
"........you!"
The man turned to flee, but was instantly impaled with a short dagger that punched through his chest. Upon looking down, the man seen that is was more like a fish hook that had a dagger point in the middle, and chain coming from just beneath the hooks.
With a grin, Lucien yanked on the chain attached to the gauntlet under his coat, pulling the man forward and expelling him out the window.
"Can't let anyone know that my nap is over, now can I?"

Lucien was long gone, in more ways than one, by the time the police arrived at the scene, finding nothing but the hanging corpse, and a single black rose with a crystal blood drop in the center of the bud.

Eva felt the person escape from her ice, so she shot some spikes at them to keep them away.
Eve was having a fight inside her mind because a vocie was telling her to kill, to leave her ice bubble and kill a certain person. she was in pain mentally and physically.
just leave. nothing you do can stop me.
"no.... i can't leave...... I DONT WANT TO HURT PEOPLE!"
Eva cried as she faught with the voice to keep controll.

Through the mental link they still had Sebastian could tell Eva was in trouble. And while he wasn't in control of his body he mentaly told her to try to reason with the voice. He cried out in his head to the opposing voice "Protect and you shall win!" he cried out to the voice several times. "Protect the sacrifice and the one you seek to destroy will die!" But the voice seemed not to take notice of him. So he began telling Eva to tell the voice these things hoping that Eva would find some standing ground.

eva heards sebastians voicemix in with the other one in her head, but she couldnt understand what he was saying above the other voice.

"Cut the formalities," Ambrosia snapped into the phone. "I need to meet you somewhere, now."
"Well, you know how busy my schedule is," the deep voice noted playfully. "I'm not sure I can fit you in today."
"Bull! Complete and total bull!" Ambrosia was yelling now. Her energy caused her stomach to wrench into a knot making her moan.
The other end became serious. "It's gone that far, huh? And the pills don't work?"
"Yes it's gone that far and no the pills don't work! Why else would I be calling you?!" she hissed.
"I'll see what I can do," said the deep voice before the line went dead.
"Rafael, you heartless monster...," she cursed under her breath as she waited.

Echoes of cold, long hidden, dark emotions woke Asha from her sleep. She shivered as she sat up on the couch. 'Where am I?' She asked as Ruby mewed softly, climbing onto her lap. 'I was in that room a minute ago... and Bastion was there I think... but then...' She was drawing a blank. The room was dimly lit, and pale light shimmered from an unknown source down a hallway, just beyond an open door. Asha got up, went out the door way, and headed down the hall towards the light. When she turned the corner she looked up to see a wide glass window as the ceiling. Water shimmered over the smooth glass surface, as moonlight shined it's way down. "I'm under a lake..." Asha gaped. "How in hell did I get here?!" She started panicking looking for an exit that didn't involve her having to swim through tons of water. Ruby trotted along behind Asha during her frantic search, seemingly a bit on edge as well. Her fur stood on end as she hissed at a wall occasionally.

eva was truely scared for the first time since the days leading up to her becoming a vampire. she was scared of losing control and becoming the monster like the one she saw in the dreams. she didnt want to kill humans, she had made friends with many during her time.
thinking of her human friends made her think of asha, and suddenly she felt where asha was trapped under the lake. her ice moved automatically under eva's strong, lasting will to protect her friends, forming a covered stair well leading to asha from the surface.
this feat made eva a little weaker, allowing the voice to take control for a few seconds, causing a spiked wall of ice to form around the mansion.

Looking back to the window, Asha saw something that hadn't been there before. A winding starcase through the water beyond the glass. "Oh wow..." Asha mumbled staring through the water. Arches of ice gleamed in soft moonlight, cutting their way to the lake bottom. And a glassy cover ran the entire way along the structure up to the surface. Reflections from the water's edge danced and fluttered over the ice, giving it the appearance of life. Asha followed the structure with her eyes all the way to it's end. By a boulder on the lake's bottom. "Uh-oh.." The boulder was outside. Surrounded by water. Asha shivered at the thought of leaving dry area and going through that. 'Come on... think. There has to be a way to get there. No one would build a place like this, without having a way back out.' Her thoughts drifted back to the hallway she had come through. There had been other doors along it. She had seen them too, though she had only entered the one light shone through. One of those passages could lead toward that stair case... Maybe there was another way out.

Lucian stepped forward, speaking,
"Asha, you're safe. I'm glad. Sebastion was worried I wouldn't be able to get here in time to save you. Come with me, it isn't safe here."
He betrayed none of his true intentions, eyes, voice, and body language all emanating true concern, even his mind was set in the thought patterns that he was here to help, as a defense against unexpected telepathy.
It had been far too easy to figure out where his former soldier had taken the girl, and even easier to arrive.
He extended a hand, offering to guide the girl away from the freezing water.

Asha jumped at the appearance of the man. She thought she had been alone. And his prescence had startled her. She suspected that Bastion had carried her here, and then left. Leaving her to sleep. She didn't know this man, but his voice sounded familiar. She had heard it recently, though couldn't pin-point where. There had been too much chaos. The name he said stood out and she felt a bit relieved. 'Oh! He's a friend of Bastion's. Then it was him who brought me here.' She looked to the man's open hand, waiting for her's. He seemd honest enough. Sincere even. Her left hand reached up, but then paused, as his words repeated in her mind. "it isn't safe here". Asha's pale eyes flickered up to the man's face. Reflections of the moon on the water flitted across his cheek.
Although she had only met him awhile ago, Sebastion seemed to care for her alot. He wouldn't leave her anywhere dangerous. She believed that if nothing else. So why had he brought her here, if it wasn't safe for her? She didn't think he would. And she believed Bastion. The fact that she was standing here was living proof in itself that he knew it was safe for her. But this man said other wise. Ruby hissed again bringing Asha back to the current situation. She pulled her hand back a little. "Sebastion sent you right? Can you tell me were he is? I'd like to speak with him." If he spoke now, and answered her with a lie, she would know. Reading people was a gift she had been born with, and was fully prepared to use to her advantage. Asha could instinctively tell when someone lied.

Lucien spoke without hesitation, and even spoke truth.
"Sebastian is currently attempting to aid Eva. I'm going to take you to her. There, you will be able to speak with Sebastian himself.
Please, we do not have much time. This place is no longer safe as what Sebastian believed."
This part was also true.
The fact that Lucien himself had made sure of it need not be told.

Asha hesitated. He hadn't lied. She was sure of it. But he wasn't telling her something. His appearance was... off. Strangly ominous. And Asha didn't like it. She knew something was wrong, but had no proof. He had mentioned another friend's name, though it could have been coincidential. And what if he was telling the truth? And it was only her mind playing tricks on her? Asha figited nervously, going over the possible outcomes in her head. Sure, staying would ensure her saftey from him. If he was even really a threat. But then she would still have the problem of how to get out. On the other hand, if she went with him... there were too many things that could go wrong. But if she did, and he was right, then his intentions were for the better. And it really was for her own good. The nagging thought kept coming back. 'What if he's telling the truth?' She glanced back to the heavy water above her head. What had she to loose?
Asha reached out and took his hand. It was cold. She thought for a moment. 'Maybe I was wrong...' Then shoved the question from her mind, not wanting to anwer it. "So, where's Eva?" She asked sheepishly.

Lucien closed his hand over the girls, pulling her up into a cradle.
"In need of you." was all he said in answer to her question.
Turning, Lucien stepped in a black void, carrying the girl close.
"Sleep now, though. It is not time for you to fufill your cause."
The cold of his body and the vaccumn of the void quickly placed both the girl and her cat into a harmless sleep, as the entrance to the void closed, leaving no trace of what had occured.
