Following the opening of the battle with what seemed to be no more than amused disinterest, Jes's expression hardly faltered as Maxi attacked her from behind. No self-respecting fighter would have been oblivious to the movements of their opponent's reiatsu signatures, and Jes was no exception. Maxi had a quick flash step; that was to be expected of a captain, but Jes didn't feel particularly threatened by his attack. Pivoting on her left foot, she twisted around in time to divert Maxi's strike with the back of her hand. In a smooth, practiced gesture, she latched onto his wrist with frightening strength.
"For all your bold talk, you're rather weak, aren't you?" It wasn't quite clear if she was actually addressing Maxi or just musing aloud. Either way, her tone was almost thoughtful, though the disdain was palpable. "It seems you still need your vaizard babysitters to hold your hand. When will you learn to toddle along on your own?"
She didn't seek to break his wrist, though she imagined she could have easily done so. Instead, she lifted her right foot and kicked out at Maxi's chest. If she connected, it was possible she would at least crack-- if not shatter-- his sternum.
Buru's rage was giving her nearly boundless energy, and it was quite tempting to use all against the captain. Jes refrained, however, though it was a near thing. The heady feeling of Buru's emotions in her system made her somewhat less than level-headed. Only centuries' worth of refining her style of combat prevented her from losing her head altogether. As it was, she recognized that she had to deal with several other opponents in the area, not the least of whom was a vaizard. Ostensibly, she would be able handle all the opponents in the area with little difficulty, but Jes was a cautious fighter. More importantly, she reveled in a certain amount of anonymity when it came to the shinigami. She knew her reputation didn't precede her, but this suited her perfectly. It made her unpredictable to the shinigami intelligence. The concealment of a majority of her power also gave her quite an edge in battle. Very few, if any at all, knew the full extent of her Shadow power, and she quite preferred to keep it this way.
Another reiatsu signature that Jes recognized quite distinctly had also entered the area. Her lips turned up in a grin that looked somehow demonic when coupled with the slight glint of her crimson eyes, now so dark with feeding that they were nearly black. Little Emily... It's been so long. She could taste the girl's fear on the back of her tongue. It was almost enough to make her mouth water. It had been so long since she'd fed on Emily. Perhaps this exercise would be more amusing that it had first seemed.

It didn't take too long for Emily to notice that things have just went from bad to worse for her. She could tell from her vantage point that the expression and look on Jes' face had changed completely.
Jes had definitely noticed that I'm here... s**t.
She slapped her face gently to regain her composure. There wasn't much point of staying in the shadows anymore if one of her potential opponents had noticed her already. But that still leaves the other, more fierce looking arrancar to worry about. She started to regulate her breathing, doing her best to relax as the shadows still danced about from within. If she couldn't overwhelm the shadows, she'd at least endure it all more so than she has already.
She moved a little closer, still trying to be unnoticed by the others. She kept her focus on Jes however, knowing that at the moment, she was the greatest threat to her. She took a deep breath, crouching low to the ground. Positioning herself almost in a sprinter's stance. Her fingers dug hard into the ground, her reiatsu sparking a little along the ground from her hand and feet. She had to be ready to fight now, if not to protect Maxi than to protect herself.

"Man arms are a pain," Maxi mutters and grunts, as Jes latches on to his wrist, swinging him around and launching a kick at his chest. The grunt repeats itself, as Maxi thrusts his trapped arm against Jes's grip and twists, a wet sucking noise follows as his should comes free from its socket. Twisting hes body around and lunging upward over Jes's leg, Maxi latches on to her ankle as it pass under him, smirking as he does.
"I did something like this to that girl over there once, though I didnt let it go off." Referencing Hanon as the green energy sparks from both his wrist and his hand, where both touch Jes or her clothing, "The body is amazingly explosive if you know where to look, Joints are the best spots, followed closely by the internal organs."
As he speak, his reiatsu attempts to force its way into her body, and once inside, would force her skin to react with the air slowly. In a half a minuet her skin would blacken, growing weak and flexible, and in under a minuet the two joints would explode. In a more immediate action his reiatsu mixed with the clothing around her joints and forced the spirit particals to take on the same action only much faster but less powerful.

Hanon watched the acrobats of the two and wondered if she should intervene or not. On one side, it was an entertaining show, but there was much more to it. A curious thought made her look at Buru and stare at him. Surely he was much to powerful for Hanon, but then again she could try her new techniques she had learned.
Her eyes flashed back to the two fighting as she heard Maxi's comment and remembered the feeling. She rubbed up and down her arms as her blood began to thump in her veins. "Glad I am on your side, Maxi." Her blood began to rush at the thought of the pain, but now wasn't the time to think about that.
White puffs came from Hanon's mouth as the air around her seemed to begin to drop below freezing. Ice formed at her feet and the aura around her blade began to thicken even more. Her eyes glanced back at Buru, not sure what she should do. If I fight him, I'll most likely die. Maxi is busy though. The decision kept switching back from yes to no in her mind. The more she thought about it, the faster the ice grew around her and eventually spikes rose around her feet.
"Bankai." A ten foot wall of ice shot up in front of Hanon and instantly broke into thousands of pieces. The shards floated for a second before shooting off at Buru. Hanon stood upright and charged after the shots of ice, leaving a trail of footsteps made of ice.

(Entrance post, is entrance-ey) The large gate suddenly began to glow with a soft white light, black critter-shaped sparkles beginning to flutter from it's body in random directions. Following these black objects were a few Shinigami, dressed in there normal attire. The group was in formation, all with there hands on there respective Katana's. None of them spoke or changed from there stern facial expression, cept the younger looking one in the center. This boy looked quite happy, both hands laced together and held behind his head carelessly. He was dressed in the same outfit as all the others, his own only being slightly modified. The only other differences in there apparels were the weapons; everyone surrounding the boy held a blade at there waist, while the boy simply wore gloves.. And a body-length broadsword across his back. This monstrosity of a weapon was the most attention-grabbing thing, next to his smile. None would pay the slightest attention to the gloves on his fingers, despite there hidden agenda. A few squad members manning the gate controls seemed slightly startled by his appearance, most of them showing confused expressions; they really had no idea who the hell this kid was, and why he was comin' through the gate.. It was a very strict passageway between this world and Earth, and not so often was it that someone from the outside came in surrounded by guards.. And then not in custody too?! The boy in the center spoke at random now, breaking a silence that had long since been thickening the air about his immediate area. "So..? Um. You guys ever play that game with the zombie alien creatures with the scythe arms..? Cuz' last night, before you guys came of course, I was gettin' to chapter ten and li-.." The boy's childish rambling was interrupted by a strange pulsation of energy, causing everyone in the area surrounding him to halt and grip the sheath of there weapons. Everyone seemed tense, cept for the child in the center.. He was slightly confused as to why everyone had grown weary, having caught on slightly late. The pulsing feeling had suddenly drooped however. In an instant, things felt back to normal, and the boy was still confused. He watched the others mumble to each other, all sweating and nervous. Within a few seconds notice, one of the men turned towards him and simply handed the boy a folder from the front of his shirt. He bowed nervously, then hopped upwards.. Disappearing in an instant, along with the rest of the group. "What the heck was all that stuff'..? Felt like an octopus just squirted it's sludgy oil allover the place. All this sticky air is gonna make it hard to breathe if it gets any thicker'en this! I better just hurry off to that place I'm s'posed to be goin.." The boy stood there rubbing his forehead quizzically, looking quite stupid as he did so. His head was facing down, towards a paper he'd taken from the envelope. ".. Then again, I gotta buncha stuff to pass through before I can leave this'ere area! Enh, got no time fur'et! There's some serious business goin' on round'ere and I gotta check it out! Maybe this Emily Captain person knows was' goin' on. She s'posed to be my "Suhperiod", or something like that. I'ma go run to her place!" Happily, the boy set off in a swift sprint, running for a short while before reaching a labyrinth of lab buildings and whatnot. Not wanting to be the average joe, the child found himself hopping atop these facilities, jumping from rooftop to rooftop with extreme shows of athleticism. He seemed to be having a good time with this whole buildin' hoppin' experience, and began to giggle as he zig-zagged the grounds. Somewhere off in the distance, he could make out a gate and a comfortable lookin' building to the right side of it. It would seem this was a gate keeper's area of some sort. He continued to get closer and closer to it, before a voice came from over his left shoulder, startling him and causing a great fall. The young, teenage looking boy found himself slipping comedically, before hurling down and off the edge of this surprisingly high roof. In a show of pure athletic skill, the child regained his footing mid-air, skidding on the atmosphere on a vertical angle before making his safe landing. The voice from behind his head was none other then that of Pokken; his mod soul, in a stuffed animal's body. "Kid? You know your supposed to stop over there right..? It's a rule. But, I gotta inform you that noones in there. In fact, they just left about twenty minutes ago! There spiritual scent is still fresh on the swiveling seat in that lil' office! I say we should just patiently wai- WOAH!? GO A LITTLE FASTER, AYE BOY?!" The stuffed animal growled the last comment through gritted teeth, barely holding onto the back of the kid's shirt as he blazed towards the hut on foot.. He was only about thirty yards away, and getting closer with each inhumane leap. From his left side came a slightly more abrupt voice, it's presence more apparent, but less visible then the tangible little toy on the boy's back. This voice seemed slightly worried. "Aye, Herieo. Don't go doin' anything retarded.. Somethin' tells me some serious s**t is goin' down in that direction just outsida' these gates. You saw that big hill in the reeaaally far off distance from atop that roof..? The big dark platform things on top of'et didn't seem too.. In place.." The voice continued to speak in a hustled fashion, Herieo simply nodding with a slightly more interested and worried expression.

The gate once again started to glow with a soft white light, as another person came through it. "Waaaah!" The boy screamed as he dropped from the gate. he continued to scream after he landed, for he had lost track of space around him. "You alright, kid?"
A stuffed animal tiger dropped from the gate, and right onto the boy's back. "Oh. What happened?" The boy asked. "We leaped through the gate, and I landed on your a**. The boy lifted himself up, and dusted himself off. He dropped so hard, that his body was outlined on the ground. "Right. We're here to find Herieo, aren't we?"
The tiger nodded. "Yeah. See that hut over there? We need to check in first." Soujirou nodded in understanding, and....sprinted for the hut. "WAIT UP!" The tiger yelled as it flailed after him.
