I live in Oregon, actually, but MLB hates us with firey burning passion. So I watch the Mariners. Lol, yea I live up here, we aren't the most wonderful fans, the Mariners would probably be better off in Oregon because we are "Fair Weather Fans". if they are losing, we HATE them. lol That's funny, because the stadium always seems fairly full, even this year. Compare that to, say, the Blue Jays, who did not great but not awful, but who's ballpark always seems empty. Plus, Mariner fans sound nicer than most other fans too. Especially Angels fans. It always seems filled to the brim with the angriest fans in baseball... Ya, we probably aren't as bad as some OTHER places, we have some die hard fans, but its like if they are winning we see them EVERYWHERE, if they are losing we're like "do we still have a baseball team?"

Well they are never in the top really. And it's baseball so I wouldn't expect a big turnout. It's all about the hockey season! (Go Leafs!) About the slower episodes: I've noticed that too. New revelations, even character ones, seemed to happen much faster last season. Now a single revelation (like that there are tail survivors including Bernard) are being stretched out over multiple episodes. I agree with you Tsunuffy that this is probably related to a need to spread out the story another season. I also think that they seem slower because what we are learning about the characters isn't always new anymore. For instance we know that Michael wasn't able to keep Walt and that Sun and Jin must have met somehow before getting married. I also find that they are focusing on fewer characters. We have hardly seen Sayid and Shannon. And Claire and Charlie haven't been in much until recently. This past episode is the first one SUn had anything to do. Last season they shifted through the different characters more often in a single episode.

Or they draw names out of a hat and that's how they decide to make the episodes more focused on this character or that. Because I've notice that even when one character is the flashback character, there's usually at least one other plot going on. B-plot, you know. But maybe they cycle characters out as their episodes come up, so as to not overload us with their presence. I mean, Jin wasn't in the first two episodes much at all, and neither was Sun. Alothough, maybe this is to make shooting all the episodes easier, shoot them at the same time.

I AM SO ******** UPSET RIGHT NOW. Pardon my language but I literally cried this time. I've been slamming doors and knocking things out of my way for about fifteen minutes now. At this point in time I'm encased in the bedroom and warned my brother not to let anyone in. I know we all 'knew it was coming' or whatever the ******** it was but she was my favorite character and of all the ways to die. And I KNOW it's just a television show but I've been having such a shitty time lately-shittier than usual and this is the one thing I've been looking forwards to and then they kill Shannon, AFTER Sayid confesses his love for her and AFTER someone finally believes in her. I don't care about the rest of the episode right now. Great, Sawyer passed out but we all 'knew' it was going to be a girl who died and everyone figured it was shannon. I don't even care that Boone was in the flashbacks. I'm just so upset right now. I've hated Ana Lucia's character from her introduction at the bar and now I don't think I'll ever give her a chance. I'm sure there are Lost fans all over the world rejoicing about Shannon being killed, several members of this guild in particular. I will state once again that I KNOW this is just a television show but you know when you need something to escape into? Well Lost is that for me and now they've killed and devastated my two favorite characters. I don't even want to watch next week. I don't care about the tailaways. UGH. You can all ignore this and write me off as a crazy obsesso fan now.

That was just so cheap! Ana's a snot, and she kills the one character left that I actually like? Screw you, writers. First you take my inept Boone, then you make Walt get kidnapped and taken who knows where, then you kill the last half of the fauxcest pair? What next, are you going to kill the dog? Maybe make him fall onto a pit of spikes?
And yet the obnoxious Kate, the boring Jack, and the annoying Locke all survive? Even Charlie and Claire aren't that interesting. The only characters with potential left are Hurley, Sun and Jin.
And there goes my theory that they only get rid of characters who have overcome something. Shannon hasn't. Not really. And we STILL know nothing about Walt!
So yeah, I'm angry. I guess killing off an interesting character leaves room for the OMGSOCOOL Man-Kate and Lady-Jack. And mega annoying Lady-Sawyer.
