"You worthless piece of..! I order you to lie down!" she roared as Ciprianus put her down.
Stop throwing a fit. It's unbecoming, he chided, frowning at her. And besides, I'm only healing that injury once. You break your ribs from screaming too much, don't come crying to me.
She glared daggers at him, but soon felt an irrational drowsiness come over her. "What the hell..?" she mumbled, knowing Ciprianus had something to do with it.
You have trouble controlling your anger, he explained. So I'm helping.
"You don't have to..." She never finished. Schuyler was soon snoring lightly, each intake of breath causing her to grimace a little.
I should do that more often, Ciprianus mused, exiting the tent and then sitting guard in front of it.

edward walked up, wiping the excess water off the side of his mouth. "what did you do to her to make her stop screaming? that was a neat trick, whatever it was." he leaned against a tree and slowly slid down to the ground. "why dont you ever talk? i dont think ive heard you say anything since ive been here." he was very curious, then again, he had a right to be since he would probably be there for a while

Ciprianus gave Edward an irritated look, but grinned at his praise.
Why don't I talk? he thought dejectedly. Because I can't. He tried to pantomime, that, pointing at his larynx, then shaking his head 'no'. He shrugged to try and show indifference.

there was a look of pure emptiness on his face. "you know, i could probably understand you if you turn back into a wolf, but i never was good at charades, sorry."

The idea almost made him laugh. The only living creature that he could 'verbally' communicate with was Schuyler, and that's only because he was her Guardian Demon. It was a long history, but it basically worked out that Ciprianus had been captured and bound to Schuyler by some sage who practiced black magic. He was too prideful to admit it to anyone, though. Even if he could talk.
Ciprianus changed into a wolf anyways, just because he preferred that form. He laid down, his intensely green eyes following Edward.

"they say you can see a persons intentions if you look through their eyes. dragon boy is scared to death, and he is constantly thinking of ways to get away. im just glad i can be part of a family again."

Ciprianus nodded to show he understood. But he was more focused on the first part of what Edward had said. He wanted to know what Edward could see through his eyes. He tried to catch Edward's gaze, hoping he would have some sort of epiphany.

(sorry I havn't posted, I found a game called dragon fable and ...yah...)
Damien was on his knees, he was looking at...well...he wasn't realy looking at anything...he was spacing out. Damien's scales turned backn into his human flesh. Damien blinked and his mind finaly caught up with his body, he felt pain rushed though his body. Every one of his muscles hurt, and he felt like he just walked out of an active volcano. Damien looked at the ground as his wings disappered in a burst of flames....the only thing that was left that showed he wasn't a normal human was his dragon tail that he could never get rid of. Damien closed his eyes tightly, he could still feel the muscles in his wings ach even if they weren't there anymore. Damien looked up at Edward and sighed when he didn't know what Ciprianus was trying to tell him. "He said he can't talk..."Damien muttered Damien flinched, it hurt when he talked...

The white wolf let out an amused laugh, his bright green eyes piercing Damien. The boy was finally moving around. Ciprianus got to his feet and trotted over to him, examining him critically. He concluded that he was only tired, overly tired, but otherwise was fine. He grabbed his collar with his teeth gently, so as to not tear the fabric, and carried him over to the shady spot by the tent where he'd been resting. He dropped him on a thick patch of grass, then settled back at his original post. These children are almost more of a handful than Schuyler, he thought, smirking a little.

he watched as damien was dragged over. "i wish i hadnt been shot, that way i could be helping instead of sitting on my butt. come to think of it, if i had stepped out of the way, or not have been standing there, it would have hit schuyler. maybe it was a good thing it was me, after all." he cringed as he remembered how much it had hurt.

Ciprianus looked at him with a wolfy grin. So they weren't good-for-nothings after all. They had both indirectly saved Schuyler, whether that had been their goal or not. Therefore, they had also indirectly saved himself. Ciprianus owed them.
He stood and walked over to where Edward was, looking briefly at his wound. Schuyler had done an excellent job on sewing it. She deserved a pat on the back when she woke up. Edward would be perfectly fit very soon. He padded back over to the tent and circled a few times before gracefully laying back down. He rested his large head on his paws, yawning slightly. Good night, Schuyler, he thought, even though she probably couldn't hear him.
...g'night... a drowsy mumble came back. He fell asleep smirking.

after everyone had gone to sleep, edward heard the crunch of the underbrush. there was a large animal coming, a bear. he stood up, no longer needing his staff, and changed to his wolf form. he ended up stopping in the middle of the transformation due to his injury. it obviously wasnt going to allow him to make a full transformation until he was healed. the bear charged the campsite and edward slammed into it, knocking it on its side. it got up, mad, and turned its focus on edward. it began slashing at him with its claws leaving edward little time to dodge. he bit at the bears neck, missing the desired area, but still the neck. the bear let out a roar of pain and left, but not before hitting edward and reopening his wound. edward gasped and collapsed on the ground face first, trying to catch his breath after having the wind knocked out of him. not again!! at this rate im going back to the pound!!

Damien looked up an saw Edward Fighting. Damien tried to get up and fight but fell back down. Damien felt usless, he never was unable to move, he always has some kind of power even if it was very little....but now he didn't, not physicly or emotionaly. Damien looked up, he tryed to shout and tell what was going on but no words came out of his mouth. At last Damien tried breathing his deadly flames but agien he couldn't. Damien watched the battle and hoped for some reason Edward didn't lose...

Ciprianus had awoken when he felt the bear's presence, but felt no need to do anything. Edward had obviously been feeling guilty for being out of comission for so long. His body language was like an open book. But Ciprianus's decision was proving to be poor. Edward was still weak from his injury, and by the time he had driven the bear back it was reopened.
So much for an excellent stitching job, he thought, watching the half-wolf writhing on the ground in pain. With a sigh, he rose from his comfy spot, yet again, and trotted over to the wounded Edward, grumbling, These guys are like near-death experience magnets.
Ciprianus stopped right by Edward, gazing at the slow trickle of blood. It hadn't been completely reopened, but enough to be a nuisance. Normally, he would have let it close on its own, but he doubted the kid's body had regained enough strength to heal it own its own. Such menial tasks, he thought sourly, and put his nose to the wound, sealing it just enough so that it stopped bleeding. Then, like he had carried Damien, Ciprianus picked up Edward and deposited him right next to his dragon comrade.
Now, stop trying to get yourselves killed! he growled, wishing that he had the gift of speech. Of course, even if he did, they wouldn't have listened, and probably would've gotten up only ten minutes later to try and find some way to commit suicide again. The demon searched for his comfy spot again, but it was in vain. He settled for a mediocre patch of grass and settled down, glaring at the two in front of him. I'm not letting you move a muscle, he snarled, completely forgetting about his desire to sleep.
