Of course it's buried. i'm cool like that.
Actually, it's in some sort of drydocks like structure that just makes it LOOK like it's buried...

Hello I'm the new player preparing a revised profile for the RP. As I was working, a lot of ideas hit me. I will post here when I think a really good one pops up. Q: How do you tell the different from one private from another? A: Certifications in an area of skills. I have developed a system for them too.
The certifications are : Engineering , Battle Medical Treatment, Advance Medical Treatment, Marksmanship, Demolitions, BTC (Basic Training Course), OTC (Officer Training Course), Galactic Combat, Atmospheric Combat.
Most have 3 classes which show how proficient they are. BTC and OTC are excluded; however, the BTC is the one certification you need to be in the military. Class III: Normal people who are not specialized but are skilled in that field of study. Most common with Marksmanship and Battle Medical Treatment. Class II: This is where most people are when it comes to there specialty. This is Average skill most people. Class I: The Best of the Best are here. Thats all that needs to be said.
Examples of why this is important: 1. Snipers have Class I Marksmanship. 2. Ace pilots have Class I Galactic and Atmospheric Combat 3. Demolitions could have a Class II carry explosives while a Class III follows behind to give support. 4. Class I Battle Medic could help the ship doctors take care of the wounded in heavy battles. 5. A pilot could have Class III Engineering to help him understand his ship.
There are more but I just haven't thought of any yet.
So, give me your thoughts on it. I'd love to know whats wrong and whats good.
P.S. A lot of the Credits go to Scouter Kai for making me think more deeply on Dante.

I updated the Ranking system in This ThreadAlso note that there are already jobs listed, which I went through and made a little bit clearer the other day. Please note that the whole job and ranking system is undergoing constant changes and clarifications, every once in a while I switch things around and make it more sensible. I am very glad that you are taking it seriously and reworking your character. That shows a lot in your favor. Edit: So your ranking system is like a proficiency rating system? rather than a normal military one?

Yeah it is. I think that this can give another dimension to the characters. Not only do you have personalities and jobs, you now have skills in that and other jobs. It also gives a more human feel because humans don't just know one thing. Their job could be what they want to do while they are better at another.

Nice intro post.
Just a few minor things; the Battle Hymn is in orbit, and evryone else is on the ground. Dante would have to be shuttled from the Hymn to Saratar (the planet) to get to the medical tent.

Yeah welcome to the crew. Just one thing though, don't let your engineer get anywhere near Steven's scimitar. I tell you this as a warning, not a threat.

Don't let your engineer get too friendly with Jack. He'll end up getting volunforced for a suicide mission. biggrin
Oh, and as far as the whole proficiency system goes.... it's good, but there's no skill set for "maniac brawler"
