Cale Darksun stellarmagic Well if I'm gonna be a sharpshooter... smile I'd be tempted to go with a slugthrower actually. I know that in the actual star wars universe they've got better range, but what about the game rules? Something to grab the book for I guess. Checking....its accurate so its got the same range as a blaster rifle. Actually blaster rifles are neither accurate nor inaccurate if I'm reading the errata right. So the would be stuck with the standard ranges with no penalties or bonuses.

According to the old system, the sporting rifles had the best range, max at 50m, not sure about the new system though.

New system goes by squares, which can be converted to meters. The range is determined by the class of weapon, and then further affected if the weapon is accurate, inaccurate or neither.
Accurate weapons ignore the -2 penalty at short range while inaccurate weapons can't shoot at long range period. If a weapon is neither then it takes neither the bonus nor the penalty.

Things are basically done, just have to tie up the ends, and type up my story.
