Another sigh of relief escaped her lips as soon as she saw that cocky little smirk of Benji's. A slow grin crept on her face as she noticed their eyes lock in the split second before he tossed her the quaffle, and then she was off, tearing down the field. Catching Ashley's eye, she launched the quaffle towards him, hoping he'd make it to the goals before one of the Puff's steal from him.

Lionel made sure to be keenly aware where the quaffle was, trying to not lose it within the crowd of players. Soon enough, there was an attack that made it towards Hufflepuff's hoops and he had to save it. The boy, attempting to stand strong for his team, went for the save, hoping that he could steal a goal from the Slytherin team. He knew it was a good shot however, because it came from the Captain of the opposing team. He missed the quaffle unfortunately. Shaking his head, he raced down to retrieve it and threw it towards Cathy He was now 1 for 3 on the season, which was...to him...bad. But he also knew he was a new player though and couldn't let himself get down because of the fact. "But the best ship of all is friendship. : XX (+5 Scoring) (+7 Stealing)= XX Moves to Goal: 1/3 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cathy gave a supportive smile to Lionel who failed to block the quaffle, but he made a decent enough attempt. You couldn't expect a first year to be great, especially against someone with as much experience as Ashley. Even Cathy when she first started quidditch, which was her second year, was only mediocre compared the other players. And, now with experience she was one of the best. A year two and maybe she could shape the boy up into something decent. Either way, she didn't want to crush his spirit too soon by criticizing his failures. Besides young males tended to have fragile confidence anyways. Taking the quaffle, she passed it to Elsie.
