I get a print-out of the schematics and take them out to the kitchen. Then I pull out some other notes, spread them out, and start comparing.

Me: Well its got to be beatable. I don't imagine we'll figure out how to beat it by the next time that we encounter it, but hopefully we can think of a plan that doesn't involve every Pokemon in its immediate vicinity fainting. *I go back to my Arceus article that I was looking at a while ago*

I come back out of the kitchen with a stack of papers semi-neatly gathered under one arm, and the one stuck to my face is no longer there.
"If it becomes an endurance match, we might be able to poison it, trap it, then try to stall out the damage. Of course, that's assuming Archie doesn't have any OTHER tricks to pull."

Me: Well I'm hoping not to need the power of a god, but part of Imbruimew's creation involved the Splash Plate. Imbruimew is still a clone of Mew, who has DNA of every single Pokemon, including Arceus. I'm just trying to figure out all the special qualities of the plates. *I scroll down a little* Me: Beyond the obvious type boost/type change qualities. *After a delayed reaction* Me: you probably should wear a thicker coat then Jack.

"Eh? Jack is here?" I look around wondering where the other boy might be. "I only see the two of us...."
Perhaps Brian's psychic senses heard something I didn't, so I brush off the incident.
"Well... Wasn't the Jewel of Life a composite of several Plates? Perhaps there's some way to counteract the power of the Splash Plate using others.
