"Hello..." KD Galaxy began, and bowed her head toward Luciano and Michelle "... I am KD Galaxy, you can call me KD if you would like. I'm honored to meet you."

Two other elves joined the table and spoke. Immediately, Nariana perked up and smiled. 'Oh, thank God. Someone to talk to!' She said to them, "I'm Nariana. Pleasure to meet you both. So how did you two come to live here?"

Aly had gotten her food and had taken a sit in the silence. When Luciano and Michelle had arrived she looked up long enough to wave and then she returned her attention to her blueprint. Scribingly, she took another spoonful of the stew. "I'm sorry. I haven't been more talkative, Nari," she said looking over to her.

"Oh, it's fine. You look a little busy, anyway. If I may ask, what's that blueprint for?" she said with a soft smile. 'Did Aly read my thoughts or something?'

(Should I just drop the color? >.< )

(It isn't necessary to drop the color-text. Some do it for style, others use it do differentiate between numerous characters.)

As Waffle ate some of her dinner, she started to feel at least a little guilty. Her mind trailed back to what Pen said a good number of hours before; those words finally started to sink in, and her face hinted at the guilt. Maybe I should go check up on Sabe before I go to bed. I don't think he bothered to eat anything before falling asleep... he's probably going to be zombie-like in the morning.

Waffle ate a little quicker than usual and didn't make much eye contact.

{Yea I'm using my mom's itouch so color is a little hard.}

Aly smiled, "Yeah, I'm busy, but I know what it's like to be new in silence. As for the blueprint sheet, it is for my new weapon. It will be a more light weight alternative to my current one."
She look down at the sheet and smiled.

Nariana smirked at the first statement. Aly hit the mark on that one. She raised an eyebrow, now extremely curious about the blueprints. "Wow, that's pretty impressive. One more question, and I'll leave you to work. What kind of weapon is it?"
PostPosted: Thu Aug 12, 2010 7:39 pm

Aly tapped the end of her pen against the blueprint, looking down at the sketch and calculations. This was just an overview of what was already being crafted, "Well you know energy weapons, right? Those devices that use energy to create hard weapons that are easy to store and maintain."
She glanced up, but didn't wait. "Well these braces with work like that. They will use my magical aura instead of battery or solar, and create blades at any length I want or weapon. They're designed for my wrist and have a lock that should keep them there. Only problem is that using them takes quite a bit of energy, which I'm currently trying to figure out how to avoid."
She sighed and looked back at the sheet. She crossed out her current work and started scribbling again. Not to mention, that Quill let it slip to Kuro. Now the fool wants these for his guards. So I have to figure it-
She stopped her inner rant, realizing she might not have to worry that much at all.

Waffle was finished eating, but decided to stick around anyway. Something about Aly's weapon-in-progress piqued her interest.

"Kinda reminds me of the portal machine in my room. After all, it takes loads of energy to power inter-dimensional travel. My dad solved the power issue a while ago, so I'd say bug him about a solution," she said.

"I'm getting married two days from now and since weddings are so damn boring, I want to drag the gang along too. The guest list is filled with nobody I know - just corporate executives, some nobles that I got no clue about, and some foreigners. Win-win deal since you'll get the chance to meet some good alchemists and wizards while I have some friends around, yeah?"
PostPosted: Thu Aug 12, 2010 8:06 pm

Nariana's jaw dropped as she listened intently, trying to process this new information. This was definitely not what she was expecting. 'What in the world do these people do that requires such complex technology?! Sure is fascinating, though...'

"Congratulations about the wedding. Perhaps I could lend a hand in some way, Aly? I don't know much about magic, but I do own a company that specializes in innovative technology of all kinds. If you could somehow design a temporary storage device for energy -- magic or whatever is usable-- like a battery, you wouldn't have to actually use your current power for a little while as long as you charged it previously. If you used your magic, you would be a bit drained for a while. So you'd have to make sure you charged them before missions."

Aly looked up and first looked at Waffle, "Well then, it should be easy for me to get in contact with you father then, shouldn't it? Oh and of course Congratulation on the wedding. "
She smiled pleased, for a little while and then glanced at Nari. She put on a sad smile, "If your working in a company like that, them we would be competing. Seeing as my family currently runs one of the largest Magical Technology Company in Gaia."
She leaned forward on her elbow and then let her hand rest on her upturned hand. "As for the solution, I'll have to first chat with Waffle's father to see how he keeps those portals running. Though the magical battery idea is one I've toyed with. For the moment my temporary solution should do."

Pen sat there rather speechless. She knew the wedding was soon but in two days?! Since when? No wonder scarf boy was acting so moody there has to be a lot going on with little time to do it in. Also, Waffle didn't even seemed excited, giddy, or treating a ceremony where you are bound to another until death with any emotion.

"WHAT! Two days! You are getting married in two days?!" Pen looked absolutely baffled as she stood up. A little too fast as the blood rush made things look hazy.

"Aw, that's too bad then. If you still need help, I'd be willing to offer some resources or collaborate. Temporary solu..." she trailed off.
Nariana blinked a few times, as this was the first time seeing Pen so excited...well, more like baffled. "I'm guessing not everyone knew so soon. Who's the lucky guy, anyway?"
PostPosted: Thu Aug 12, 2010 8:58 pm

Waffle sunk down in her chair, her face pale and her eyes wide. "Jeez, Pen. Tone down the volume, but yeah. Would I lie?" she asked back.
"When I came back here from getting my hands healed, my mum was all like, 'Oh, and tell Sabe I don't plan on extending deadlines any more. The wedding's in two days.', so I did. Sabe didn't really say anything after I told him that except to go call you guys down for dinner and then some mumbling that I didn't hear." she said, "Also, it's not my fault we've been on missions half the time."

Waffle turned her head over to the left and gave Aly an acknowledging thumbs-up before facing Pen again.

Meanwhile, Sabe laid down on Waffle's side of the bed with a half-empty bottle of Pepto sitting on the nightstand. He was doing alright but when he heard Pen's clear loud outburst about the wedding, he considered just chugging the other half of the bottle down at once. Oh...god. Didn't I tell her to keep her mouth shut and just pass the days missing off as 'personal matters'?

...
I think I'm gonna be seriously sick.

Sabe made a quick dash for the bathroom and nearly tripped over his feet, but made it.

Aly smirked as she rolled up her blueprint. She would have laughed, but it would be offensive to Nari. Resources...well, no that's not fair to her. Clear it was meant under the partnership of allies under the Kuro banner. Nothing to do with business, though I'll have to ask Elv's for information on her company. For alliance sake...Don't want our interest to cross paths to often."Thank you for the offer Nari. I will definitively, keep your offer in mind."
Instead of chuckling, she looked at Pen, "At least she gave us a two days notice. Plus, remember there was the rather stressful mission, things can easily slip from ones minds when one is being shoot at."
