I've mostly decided everything for myself, but...
Which Eeveelution should I use? I'm picking Charmander as a starter, by the way.

Jolteon.Jolteon is flimsy, use Vaporeon. And get Eevee to 36 before you evolve it so it can learn Baton Pass; a couple Acid Armors are a great help to a glass cannon.
