Jake Jordan KittyPryde Well then technically Kara In-Ze shouldn't be in either as she was created for the animated series. JLU has a comic. domokun X-23 and Harley Quinn originated in the animated series too, but that isn't the point so much as characters who debuted in media completely outside the context of American comic books and superheroes.

Patience, when she's here, doesn't function as a traditional mule. Perhaps that's the difference. She's here for a brief, specific purpose, then gone again.

I can't speak for Harley (only cause I'm not too sure) but X-23, while debuting on X-Men Evolution, has also appeared with a slightly different origin in mainstream comics.

That's what I assumed, as I said. X-23, Harley, Kara In-Ze, Patience...They were created in adaptations of comic books. Characters like Ash and Buffy were adapted INTO comic books. So the first set counts, but the second set doesn't.

Jake Jordan Hmm, true. That's an important difference. They also transitioned into the normal DC and Marvel continuity respectively. When Kara In-Ze joined, she joined under the name Linda Danvers about ten seconds after Gia joined under Linda Lee Danvers, so the agreed upon solution was to find another Supergirl and Kara In-Ze was picked. Of course that's irrelevant now since Kara has since appeared in normal DC continuity during Infinite Crisis along with Terry McGinnis.

Yeah, I'm still a little bitter about certain characters not reappearing in continuity during Crisis, seeing as everyone else and their mom has. xp
