Pimping it wouldn't hurt. Tho, the primary reason for any lack of response is that you've presented a tight, well-thought-out argument. Those are the bane of the internet.
Most folks want to come on, pretend like they know everything about something, and then beat people senseless with whatever their point is, no matter how wrong it is.

Yeah, I pretty much expected that when I wrote it though. It'd do great in CD, but then few people in CD actually need to read and understand it.

Hmm, I dunno about that.
Granted, there is the core CD group who probably don't, at least for the purposes you seem to be aiming for, but there's a pretty sizeable group of folks who could certainly benefit from it, or at least spark discussion. I mean, you actually evoked a coherent, valid response from NekoThing. That's something.
