Suzume managed somehow to get outside, away from the chaos. She knelt over to the ground, catching her breath, and then stood again with a sigh. She looked around, and saw Faraday with Freeda. Immediately she felt remorse again. What would Kaji say?

Speak of the devil. Kaji ran back to the outer area of the castle. She had gotten hungry and ventured for a snack, but then heard noise coming from where she had once been and dashed back as fast as she could. Seeing Faraday, Kaji looked dumbfounded. "What happened?"
