"I... don't know..." Alice said softly before looking Reeve in the eyes. "I can't trust many people because of these sides and-..." She perked up suddenly and looked towards the forest, then bit her lip hard. "I... have to leave now, Reeve. I'm sorry." She said quickly before handing him his cloak back.

"No, you don't," Reeve says firmly as he stands up, not showing the slightest hint of a stagger. He puts a hand on her shoulder. "Is he calling you back?"

"He... yes..." She said softly as she looked to his hand. What was he getting at? Of course she had to go. Orochimaru was calling her. "I... I have to go..."

Reeve looks at her, his usually soft brown eyes hard like flint.
"If not, Alice, he and I can have a little chat. I mean, there's no reason we can't be civil..."

Alice frowned. She didn't know what to say. Nekojiri creeped her out now. She did not want to be here because of him. But... Reeve was here, so she wanted to stay. But... she had to get back home... "Y-Yes...?" She said uneasily before quickly heading towards the toward. "I-.... I'm sorry, Reeve..."

Reeve gives a resigned sigh, more or less throwing himself into his chair.

Alice flinched at his comment, sighing before turning to face him. "You have no right not call me a coward if you are one yourself, Reeve." She said quickly with hurt eyes. "Drinking your pain away, asking me to get Orochimaru to lend you power..." She sighed, then turned away from him. "Goodbye, Reeve..." She said softly before walking off towards the forest.

Out in the forest, not far from the Dojo a trap door opens and a figure climbs out of his lab. "Eureka! I have done it. Blood regerist...er...regenerator? Rejuvinator? Ahh I'll come up with the name later. What matters is I have done it!"

Alice sighed, listening to Reeve yell at her as she continued her trek back. She turned into a run once in the forest, her eyes cold and lonely as she left him and his cloak behind.

Alice hears heavy footsteps behind her as she slows and looks back. Spotting Reeve, she really does not know wither it is a good sign or nothing. She swallowed hard, then turned away, dashing off further into the forest away from him.

Reeve sighs expressively, then chases after her.
"I'm doing you a favor, Alice."
Picking up speed, he follows her, stepping in her footsteps. After a while it may become apparent that he's not chasing her to make her stop; he's following her.
